  1. Have to say that this a beautiful model, with excellent performance to boot. It is something that I am hoping to achieve with my current build, a Jeep Gladiator. Also love the inclusion of the "OH S***" bar for the passenger. I've made my dad do that a few times while I was learning to drive years ago...
  2. Wow... Already, I am blown away by this build. You've got all kinds of great ideas wrapped up in this model, I am looking forwards to the next design update! I don't have a suggestion for a seat, other than using these fender panels for bucket seats with angled connectors around them. I think @Lox Lego also has some excellent designs...
  3. Beautiful build! The stickers are really the icing on the cake here... But I'm not sure if I like them or those front lights more... I am always impressed with the cleanliness of your builds, especially the interiors. This is another excellent build I wish had the parts (money, really, lots of money... But that's why I'm studying engineering!) for.
  4. Wow. That is an awesome model. The range of motion and reach with that arm is one of the greatest I've seen.
  5. Ah, here it is. I saw this on TLCB a few days ago. Nice work! The front wheels seem really close to the arches, do they rub when turned?
  6. It depends on the time available to me. If I have plenty of time, I savor the building process, taking all the time I want, sometimes taking stuff apart to see why it was done one way and not another. If I am pressed for time (in my mind) and thinking along the lines of "I have to finish bag 6 by midnight!" then it turns into a record-setting speedbuild session.
  7. Ah, I've been wondering when a review of this set would pop up. Being a broke college student, I couldn't afford to pay for it though I do want it. I like the concept of it, having a smooth kinetic model from Lego. However, using printed sheets of folded plastic doesn't seem quite right, I think the myriad array of slopes and curves is perfectly acceptable for use in making a fish. Final comment... GO LEFTIES!!! WOOOO!!!
  8. This definitely is an eggspert level of building! Personally, as cool as this is, I'd hate to clean all the parts afterwards...
  9. I feel sad that this beauty is coming apart... I'd hate to do it... Excellent build and design, there are some neat bits, like how the motors are mounted. And those stickers...
  10. I do like the sound of that. Topic followed!
  11. It's looking good, and I have high expectations for this model! To help with the flexing, I think you need to run a sturdy connected beam or two along most of the models length. But I don't think I should get credit for this model... I haven't done much of anything.
  12. @TheBeeze Alright then. If you have no objections, then count me in!
  13. @TheBeeze Hey all! Sorry, I've been away from my bricks with school (engineering program). I would like to participate, but can only through the summer and winter breaks... I can with my team about this, or if you have an executive decision Beeze, I will abide by that.
  14. I keep my parts almost always sorted out into bins (liftarms in bags due to size and quantity) to protect them. They are stored out of direct light on shelves or in a closet when not in use, and I never have models on display. Some parts have minor damage (scratches, rubbed edges, a nick or two...) from my crawlers/buggies being driven outside. I almost never put stickers on, sometimes a few small ones are used, but never the large ones.
  15. Great work! I like how you made all the different options and combos possible. Especially like the idea for raising the tipper bed, that's genius!
  16. Beautiful design. I cannot believe how well you capture these organic flowing lines in Lego. Well done.
  17. Nice work! This is a cool model. I'm glad Lego has been introducing Technic in camo colors, I've been wanting to see it happen for years! Except ow all my money is going to college....
  18. *Appropriate comment lavishing praise will be posted as soon I re-attach my jaw and find my eyes...*
  19. Any balloon tire. It has less surface area in contact with level pavement at any given time.
  20. Well done! I like the new chassis and body, though you appear to be missing some doors... Not to mention the hood and trunk. That's why it's only "toddler resistant," right?
  21. Dang. We only just got the wave 2 sets, maybe 2 weeks ago, and already we're speculating about the next ones to come out? Relax guys, enjoy the expensive-as-heck sets you just purchased, take the time to revive your wallet, and then, maybe, we can speculate about possible new sets and think about blowing more money on even more Technic. All I'm gonna say for now is that I hope some of these cars have decent shaping, and there had better be a gearbox in there SOMEWHERE!!! And NOT for changing functions!
  22. It appears the fever of micro-scale building is spreading... I hope I can put together a build. I'm currently on vacation, and will have a very busy two weeks before I leave for college...
  23. Nice build! Personally, I would be worried about hard coupling the thin tan gears with the XL-motors. I tried that once, and had to order new gears...
  24. Great little Tatra, it has a clean and, dare I say, rather elegant design. I'm hoping for a video from the competition, good luck to you!
  25. Dang! This is a masterpiece! You guys nailed the rear lights! Knowing this is a B-model just takes it to another level.
