  1. Thank you, judges! You have no idea how hard it was to design those little vehicles... I spent more time on the one tank then the whole terrain.
  2. I saw the video a few days ago, and was looking for this topic to show up! It's a great MOD, I personally like the expedition version the most!
  3. Beautiful MOD (?), I love the color combo you used! The blue really pops, and it adds spectacular flair! What gear ratio did you use? I'm guessing 12/20 and then a diff. Any way you did, it has great performance!
  4. Dang! she's a beauty! Awesome MOC in a massive scale, Lucio! Even though it doesn't have many functions, it is a great build! All it needs is a winch on that bumper.
  5. That's one heck of an UPdate! (I like puns, sorry. ) I will maybe be able to get the parts to build this insane model in about 10 years... Amazing work, it's hard to believe that boom can support itself like that.
  6. CAMPAIGN 6 -- TOOHATI Location: Outside Army Base Oscar, in Xenor Recent satellite images showed a convoy preparing to leave Oscar Army base. It's cargo: believed to be Toohati POWs. Specters 1 and 2 were launched to intercept, and hopefully bring back all POWs, alive and well. [GBW-CP7] Specter 1 "This Specter 1, do you copy? Moving into position, the convoy is in sight." [GBW-CP7] Convoy [GBW-CP7] Specter 2 "Specter 2 copies. Confirm visual." [GBW-CP7] "Engaging..." "Beginning attack run. Confirmed target is here." [GBW-CP7] Fire 1! "One down, acquiring secondary target..." [GBW-CP7] "Acquiring Target..." [GBW-CP7] Fire 2! "No more armed hostiles. Specter 2, you are cleared to move in." [GBW-CP7] Specter 2 Inbound "Cover my approach. Don't need a surprise." "Got your back, Specter 2." [GBW-CP7] Cover Me! [GBW-CP7] Touchdown! "Team deployed.. Wait one... Woohoo! The POWs are here, we're bringing them aboard!" _________________________________________________________________________________________ Micro-scale is really a great way to depict battles. It's so much easier to deliver a detailed fight scene this way! Hope you guys like it as much as I do. Feel free to give C&C! And the overview shot. For the judges.
  7. Thanks guys! At the judges: I don't have a huge collection, so it can be hard to build larger. I do the best I can though. I did try to take an overall shot, but because the build is just the floor and wall, it leaves an ugly gap on each side where a lot of the background shows. I didn't like that, so I opted for this photo.
  8. Incredible model! It's appearance is fantastic, one of the best I've ever seen, AND it has all the proper working functions! One the track tensioner, is the sprocket sliding on the gray part, or is the gray part sliding backwards with it?
  9. Your methods of shaping models never ceases to amaze me. You have a great ability to give your models excellent curvature and contouring without using flexaxles.
  10. This is what Lego Technic should be. I'd pay good money to buy this MOC (if it was a set) from a store. Truly an excellent build!
  11. For me, I started out with a small collection (which has grown exponentially) and I learned through building other people's MOCs. I did a good bit of my own building, but it was almost never finished since I was too concerned with the aesthetics and realistic functions, and I could never find the balance I needed. Now, I have a lot more experience, and my models are improving a good deal. I have figured out how to balance functions/aesthetics in a model, by choosing a few of the most distinctive parts to be included. However, I now have a job and am going to college, so it takes much more time for me to get anywhere on one of my projects than I like.
  12. Wow. Great appearance so far, I can't wait to see the finished product. Are you planning to close some of the gaps in the hood? Maybe it's just me, but the gaps are at odds with the totally paneled doors. Just a little bit.
  13. This might be the best C-model I've seen for the Claas... Excellent model with a ton of cool functions, especially the suspension using torsion bars instead of shocks. I never would have thought about using them on an off-road truck like that.
  14. Impressive model @Sariel! I am amazed yet again by the solutions in this model for the drivetrain and axles. Extremely well done for the scale. Only minor thing is that I also think the model would be fine with a scaled static engine; as cool as the working one is, it just looks out-of-place.
  15. One thing to add, I forgot to say this earlier: I think there should be no minimum size, except maybe 16x16 studs. I don't have many parts currently, since I split my collection between Technic and System parts, so it is hard for me to deliver a build of 32x32 at the level of detailing I want to achieve and know I can achieve at a smaller scale. Not to sound like a whining megablocker or anything. Just stating a sad fact about my collection size.
  16. Wow. I will definitely bookmark that page, I will use this a lot for some of my buggy builds and others. I am gonna use this for my current project as well. Thanks a ton for making this!
  17. I am definitely open to a revamp! I quite like the game as is, but sure, some changes would be great! I do like the "game" element, with the points and levels, and I think if we added a research expenditure (I.e. spend points to further research in weaponry/vehicles/etc.) to make more options open up, like they are currently around the world. This would be cool, and add some realism in another facet of waging war. I bring this up because I did a Lord of War build, and just had to build and introduce a whole new vehicle, and yes, I added backstory, but had no builds for it, nor did it cost me anything to change my means of warfare. In addition, it would allow much more freedom of building, as each nation individually would have to show the process of building up infrastructure to support their efforts. Although I do like the current Campaigns with set objectives, where there is competition between the teams over one location/etc, I think that the original campaigns, with a bit more freedom, were good. See spoiler for more about this: That is just my opinion at this time, @TheBeeze & @Stash2Sixx and all the other staff, you guys have done a great job with this game! Looking forwards to the improvements!
  18. Even better, the extended body looks great. Any chance of raising the body a stud or two? The wheels seem really close to the fenders.
  19. I am leaning both ways here... On one hand, a return to the classic black/gray would be nice, like it was in my first Technic sets. However... Axles "like unicorn poop, all colors of the rainbow" would be really handy for the rollcages often found on my racing buggies, trophy trucks, etc. It would allow some great color schemes to be built, especially if you added sponsors.
  20. Nope, I have those same washed-out search bar options on mine as well. Not too big of a deal though. Just always catches my eye when I look at a page.
  21. Both updated versions are impressive, but I definitely like the second one better! I also agree with @Aleh about the Jeep needing wider tires. And maybe a more off-road tread pattern.
  22. Thanks! It was fun to mess around with the cheese slopes to make carpet patterns, and the window shade turned out better than I thought it would. Mysterious death > replacement. Thank you. For now, it has been ruled a suicide... Perhaps the investigation will change that... Such a negative opinion...
  23. Toohati President Caleb Ledger President Ledger Members of the Brick of Nations, I am here before you to bring to you the news that Ambassador Victoria Wilson has died. She took her own life yesterday, which stunned us all. We knew she has struggled with depression throughout her life, but she was doing so well, and was loving her job. However, her recent unsanctioned statements brought her condition to our notice. Unfortunately, we were unable to act quickly enough to prevent this horrific tragedy. Our nation is mourning the loss of such a bright young woman; she should have had a bright future ahead of her... At this time, I, President Caleb Ledger, will be the interim Ambassador to the Brick of Nations, until we are able to appoint a suitable replacement for Ambassador Wilson. Thank you all for your condolences.
  24. On Tonight's News... "I'm your host Samuel Cook, and tonight on the Toohati News Network I have the obligation to bring forth some terrible news... Our beloved ambassador Victoria Wilson was found dead this morning, of what is apparently a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The investigation is still ongoing, but at this time, the police do not suspect foul play. According to her sister, who just came forward to express her regrets and sorrow, the Ambassador has struggled with depression in the past, though it was believed she had overcome it. "Her appointment to the position of Ambassador made her so happy, and she loved the work she did. No one thought she would relapse... But I guess... I guess the stress and violence of the war was too much," she stated earlier in an interview. Our nation will be mourning her loss, Ambassador Wilson had great support among her people. Viewer discretion is advised, as the following images may not be suitable for children! The police have released this image at the family's request, as they wish to show the devastating results of untreated depression, and they are going to be mounting a campaign to aid those who suffer from it. NOOOOOO!!!!! Our condolences and prayers go out to the family and friends of Ambassador Wilson. There will be a memorial service for her at the National Gardens this coming Saturday, all are invited to pay their respects. Hope you guys like the build! Feel free to comment and critique! @sigpro Don't worry, a new ambassador will be coming soon!
  25. Another good build. Personally, I like the use of the tape, if it was my model, I'd use the tape too, so I can take it off and reuse the parts. @Lox Lego When I first read the topic, I saw your name and "Honda." And I immediately thought you were doing a Type-R. I'd like to see you make one in the future, if you're interested.
