  1. Dunno about the DBG pins, but the other two would just be for standard reasons. Sometimes you need friction, sometimes you don't. I think the DBG is meant to be a blue one, because it's blue on the box art.
  2. It’s a very striking colour scheme, I like it. I really hope this teal finds its way into larger sets
  3. Looking good. Perhaps cheese slopes?
  4. Man I bet this one's gonna sell like crazy. I wonder how fast it'll be
  5. Oh hey the Wrangler has suspension. Curious to see if it's just pendular
  6. For a first model this is amazing. Looks just like the real thing. Given that it's already blue, I'd be interested to see you turn this into the GTR version
  7. Even if there is a differential, why would they use the new one in a set that isn't motorised?
  8. It would be nice if the forum had a script that would upload images automatically to imgur and paste them in the comment.
  9. That looks nothing like red to me - it's far too dark to be bright red
  10. 50EUR... probably means it'll be $80AUD here. I don't mind the way it looks, but damn that's a bit of a big ask
  11. Hell yeah these are mad - I'd love to see a video of them working
  12. Agreed that Jim and Milan are doign a great job, but we really need more contests and better networking among other social media groups
  13. In any case, I don't think anybody's going to use the tag because of the implication that they can't handle criticism that will inevitably come with it. Most people can accept constructive criticism here. In the five years I've been here, I can count the amount of spats due to criticism on one hand. I honestly don't think it's a big enough issue to warrant tags. Strictly speaking, I'm not against the idea of a 'no criticism' tag, but I think it's going to do absolutely nothing to increase forum participation.
  14. To stop this from becoming even more of a battlefield, I'm gonna steer us all in another direction. One post that didn't get anywhere near enough attention was the mention of having more contests. It's been a few months since our last contest, and I think it's due time that we had another one. I also think that EB should be reaching out and networking with other social media platforms to attract traffic to the forum. YouTube channels like Brother's Brick, Instagram pages like LoxLego and legotechnic_best promoting EB Technic contests (with some form of a prize) could provide a decent boost to forum participation.
  15. Keen to see how that turns out @barbanera. I've seen a bunch of extension mods to the set and they all just clone the front door, making it look ridiculous, so a brand new rear door is definitely interesting to see
  16. I 100% agree that encouraging creators (rather than knocking their design choices down a few pegs with short/blunt comments) will help to increase participation. We’re social creatures after all, not utilitarian. I can speak from personal experience that even the seemingly empty positive comments are still helpful. Constructive criticism is helpful, but should also come with a positive attitude, especially for the newcomers.
  17. If it’s for the Ferrari, and if the Ferrari is an F1 then there’s plenty of places this could go.
  18. I'm building the CaDA one at the moment, and words can't describe how amazing the dark azure colour is when contrasted against all the black and red of the chassis, it's beautiful
  19. Yeah hold riiiight up. Subjective is subjective, no rationality about it.
  20. It doesn't matter if they're too heavy, as you'll just have fewer balls to be loaded before it triggers. If they're too light then there'll be issues.
  21. Ayyy my suspicions were right - gearboxes should always operate at high speed and low torque
  22. @howitzer Agree with everything you said. There's a lot going on with pricing
