Nah it's just normal and curved black panels -

Yeah it is. I'm really looking forward to seeing more pics of the buggy. -

Wheel arches can't hold stickers, because they aren't curved planes -

Shit yeah I noticed that on the Wrangler, but had no idea what it was. It's definitely at the side of the Senna too. It looks quite useful -

Mmmmm, looking not bad actually. Jeep Wrangler Rubicon: small CLAAS-like tyres, looks cute. I'm not sure about this but I think I see a frictionless 2L pin in the red parts of the chassis behind the front wheel. Maybe this indicates that there'll be some sort of suspension? C+ Offroad Racer: new balloon tyres, finer tread, much like seen on hobby RC vehicles. They're hard springs though, so it's a bit of a shame. Might end up buying it though. McLaren Senna GTR: really nice colour scheme, but the amount of stickers is gonna trigger everyone lmao. The front axle has the Corvette wheel arches in dark blue with printed white honeycomb. What's the bet that the white doesn't print properly The proportions seem a bit tall, but it'll no doubt look good to most people; it does much better at looking like the real thing than the Corvette did. Hydraulic Excavator: As I predicted, the main boom uses an MLA. The bucket is a black version of the 42055 BWE bucket. The treads don't seem to use actual sprockets, which is interesting. It also comes with brickbuilt traffic cones. Seems like a missed opportunity to use the smaller, grippier treads. Skidsteer Bobcat: Looks alright I guess, nothing too interesting except for the use of an Arocs bucket. Hovercraft: It's a hovercraft, good source of smaller orange panels. I think it uses black Toa Kopaka Mata shields for the prop shields, which is quite funky. Monster trucks: Meh, not for me but that's understandable. Stunt plane: Note sure I like how it looks. It seems a bit sparse on functions like the Display Team Jet, which is a bit disappointing when compared to the Gyrocopter that they sold a couple of years ago. Quite a lot of the smaller sets are listed as 2-in-1, which is nice. -
42113 Reconstruction Guide

No, it definitely is a quality control issue. It’s a design that can be broken very easily, even by kids. This set has pretty severe mechanical issues. -

There's also the totally pointless plain black stickers on the black panels at the front, and the fact that all the pins are greyed out -

How cool would it be if you posted that in the future set wishes and speculations thread -
Oh my god yes, thank god I'm not the only one. I bought T-Lego's blue Lambo recently and like 46 of the 54 axle-pin connectors had no friction whatsoever. I got sent a few replacements (still waiting on the rest), was promised that I'd receive hand-picked ones, yet a lot of the replacements I've gotten so far also have almost no friction.

There's just so much wrong with it... The obviously shitty photoshop of an ultrasonic sensor on the front bumper Skid steering with one motor per wheel, and no steering motor... No light piece behind the headlights, only a round 2x2 brick (you can even see the cross axle holding it in place) I don't buy for a second that it's real -

I find it very hard to believe in that Mindstorms 42096 -
42070's steering has the issue that it's quite fast: The effects of backlash in the gearbox will be greater the closer the clutch gear and steering speeds are. If you halve the steering speed then the backlash should also halve (obviously discounting the backlash of other gears, but there won't be many gears in the steering powertrain anyway). I imagine that because both worm gear steering and linear actuator functions demand a high speed gearbox, running the gearbox at the motor speed (or even a bit higher) should largely reduce the effects of clutch gear backlash. It's definitely a solution worth investigating IMO.

Before anyone here gets all triggered and nOt-mY-LeGo over the phrase 'gender inclusive', I'll add that I'm not really inclined to think that it'd have anything to do with it. If an ambulance is the result of wanting to get girls into Technic then that'd be really subverted and vague. Girls playing with the sets in their set promos would have a greater effect than an ambulance.

$350USD sounds realistic. I've spent a lot of time thinking about this and wrote it earlier in this thread, but it could also be done with just 5 motors. If you split all the functions into two groups - driving/front bucket, and backhoe - then you have four functions per group, with a fifth motor operating the gearbox and outriggers together. Binding outriggers to the gearbox is acceptable because you only need to drive when you're operating the front bucket, and you only need the outriggers when operating the backhoe. The only problem with a fully RC backhoe is finding space for two smart hubs, five motors and a 4-input-4-output gearbox. It'd be easier if TLG designed a compact smart hub to just plug into the simple hub.

The excavator's meant to be 40EUR, it's gonna have MLAs at the very least -
I think we should deal with MOCs and sets differently: I'd like to see us allowing Technic MOCs that use clone pieces. We allow 3D printed parts (see Efferman) and custom electronics (see MaxBrix), so I don't like the idea of discriminating against someone because they can't afford the premium cost of Lego, yet still wish to share and discuss building techniques with us (we could make them do it through a digital program, but that's just hurting their user experience by making them jump through hoops). For Technic MOCs, I think the building experience is more important than the brand loyalty. However, for set discussion I'm happy sticking only to official Lego sets, as long as we allow special cases like Bruno and Thijs (T-Lego). Another special case where I thought clone discussion was relevant was in the 42115 topic thread, when MK's Lambo Sian leaked and it turned out to be an original creation, much to our surprise. That being said, I understand that when you make more complex rules like this, it can become harder to manage and to get people to stick to them.

I feel like that's a bit different however, if only because Thijs first posted his MOC before the CaDA set was announced, so there was a Lego version first. That being said, if Thijs were a veteran and in the same position as Bruno then I would support allowing discussion of his sets in the Technic forums, even if the discussion would inevitably involve some CaDA discussion.
