  1. Update! This hearse is styled after the 1920s-vintage truck in set 10222 - Winter Village Post Office. I recolored it, extended the bed, and added opening doors to the rear. I plan on using this model with my spooky graveyard, which you can view in the post above. The model seats a driver in the front, and a coffin can be placed in the back. The hearse should be built in real bricks by the end of the month.
  2. @CDM Sorry for the sort-of off topic post, but the reason for the new big warnings is because it was mandated by Congress / some govt. agency. Some kids apparently swallowed some watch batteries and died / got hurt, thus the new giant signs... LEGO has no say in this matter.
  3. Thanks for the kind words @LL1982! Also, I am actually picking those printed parts up from Bricklink.
  4. Camping Adventure is going to be sold out any second now... EDIT: ..and 30 minutes later, it's gone. (might have been sooner, I had to step away from my computer)
  5. Real world UPDATE: Progress in finding part for the toy shop modular building. Out of the 1,096 parts I started with, I'm down to 729 left to go... this means 367 parts have been located in the last 24 hours or so. Also, the remaining truck / inside detail parts were ordered yesterday.
  6. Ok, having read that, now I want to see Jabba the Hutt in a pirate captain getup, prowling the dune seas in a huge sailing ship hunting for lost treasure while being chased by the Empire. Somebody make this happen! We now return you to your regular scheduled MCU programming...
  7. It's been like this since the beginning of Technic: 1982 / '84 for black friction pins (old / new), and 1977 for light gray frictionless. The pins have always been color-coded this way. Just letting you know.
  8. Black pins have friction, and are not meant to rotate much. So of course if you built a mechanism using them, you would get plastic dust! Try using light gray pins instead - these are frictionless.
  9. Thank you @The Island Chronicles and the 4x4 yellow blank tiles are going to have LEGO printed on them, and the rooftop 8x16 tile will also feature a print. These are all being sourced from set 60440 (LEGO Delivery Truck). Also, the vintage vehicle and the inside details remaining parts are on order, while the building is in the 'finding parts from home' phase. Check back soon to see the real world progress on both!
  10. This early-1930's Duesenberg SJ is based off the car seen in Indiana Jones set 7682 (Shanghai Chase) from the 2009 Temple of Doom line. I changed the color from tan to black, updated the look with parts not available 15 years ago, and added a hardtop roof among other things. Oh, and me being me, I added some flanged railroad wheels to use the car an an inspection vehicle for railroad officials like the one shown. (Because why not drive the high iron in style?) I've always wanted to build one of these in black (since the set was released, actually), and now I've got one! The only problem is, it show dust WAY too easily, as you can see. ...It's the curse of building in black! The rear of the car. The car seats two figures inside the cabin. Thoughts?
  11. WIP update: Progress so far on the LEGO delivery truck and some of the modular toy store's items. Everything you se here was found in the last six hours or so.
  12. This modular building-style corner LEGO store was heavily inspired by set 31105 (Townhouse Toy Store from Creator) while the LEGO delivery truck is modified version of the postal vehicle from set 10222 (Winter Village Post Office) whereas the sidewalk burger stand is directly taken from 60404. (City Burger Truck) The building also draws from some free Rebrickable instructions you can see here. The building is a bit short in the height department compared to official modulars, but when next to my custom buildings it fits right in! On this side we see the second-floor patio. The lower floor is the shop's sales floor, and also has a enclosed delivery area off to the side. The shop sells all manner of Lego sets and pre-built models for sale. The burger stand's roof also is removable. The second floor is a apartment, and features a bare minimum of features to sustain life, but it does have a gigantic Lego train layout in the corner. (somebody has their priorities in order!) This truck is heavily inspired by the 1920s truck from the first Winter Village post office. The doors on both sections open, and the truck seats one figure at the wheel. (Oh how I wish those rear doors came in yellow!) EDIT 11/16/24: Models finished in real life - pictures added, and text updated in the first post! Thoughts?
  13. One question: WHY on Earth would you destroy a Lego model this way? It reminds me of the people who buy memorabilia of a singer they don't like, and then burn it. You're destroying your own money, and for what?!
  14. I don't see Laura Croft anywhere... I feel lied to! (Nice fig barf, by the way!)
  15. I didn't realize the streetcar was a decade old already! Man, how time flies @JopieK!
  16. It has plenty of Lego Technic to handle most trains..... unless those trains are made out of lead and cement. (Then I make no guarantees on structural stability!)
  17. Eurobricks isn't meant to host photos @MAP Tec. All the space you are given is for your Avatar and your signature. You are meant to upload regular post photos somewhere else, like Flickr, or Bricksafe, or another photo hosting site., Then you link them into your post... there are tutorials on Eurobricks on how to do this, but I don't know where, exactly. (Moderators usually have a link to the new member help section in their signature, which should give you some guidance if you need it.)
  18. So far, it seems M-Tron is fourth, Futuron is in third, Ice Planet 2002 is in second, and (surprising nobody) Classic Space is in first. I'm kinda shocked IP2002 is in second, actually... I would have thought it would have been lower. But then again, transparent orange chainsaw is a meme after all so maybe it has more fans than I thought!
