    Love the retro feel, and i agree with @Tom_Brick on the late '60s vibe! I'm half expecting the second or third Doctor to pop out of that door any second now, with something creepy and evil following close behind him.

    If so, it better come with a sound chip playing K.C. and the Sunshine Band's 'Boogie man', and / or the Bee Gee's 'Stayin' Alive'. (It's too bad minifigs can't really disco that well, though.)

    The ship in question turned out to be set 10391 and is coming out next month... I believe you can preorder it already for 110 USD. It's not pretty, and is basically a glorified parts pack @Horation.

    Thank you @Feuer Zug! That car MOC is very well liked on my Flickr - 21 fave's on the main photo and eight each on the other two since I uploaded them in May. I seem to have struck a cord with my recolor of Leewan's MOC.

    @zephyr1934 : Well, that appears to be: A) incredibly dangerous B) very sad because the mighty iron horse has been reduced to a kids jungle gym C) All of the above ...But at least it's in (relatively) good condition and still looks like a proper steam loco for the most part. (extra handrails notwithstanding)

    Sava hasn't been on Eurobricks since early 2021, so I don't think he's going to respond to your message @trucks3. He has also not listed this loco's instructions for sale on Brick Train Depot alongside the others, and I doubt he will any time soon as I don't think he has created any instructions for this moc. Side note: Generally speaking, bumping posts older than sometime between 6 months to a year is considered a no-no, unless you have something very substantial to say. @JopieK can correct me if I'm wrong on any of this.

    I could, but honestly the size of the ship is so small, it might look silly with even these seven figures aboard. Thanks for the idea @Jack Sassy, but I'll just have to wait until the ship is built to see if your idea if feasible.

    Unfortunately, I can't make more soldiers @Jack Sassy. I cleaned out the last seller of the pants with more than 1 in my country (USA). I really don't want to spend a arm and a leg on shipping from Germany (or wherever) for parts that cost a buck each or less.

(part of the song 'Subdivisions' by Rush) I was looking at color swaps of the Brick City Depot house I modified while the above song was playing. It struck a cord with me, so this MOD of a MOC was created. Thanks for you comment @FullBrickDev, but those pillars aren't my design - those are part of the original Brick City Depot model.

    So first some bad news: I will not be building @Wurger49's 2x 76440 alt-MOC, as I just don't have the ability to drop $300 on two of a LEGO model to make a MOC, as I don't have that kinda cash. So, I'm back to my original plan of making the original set's ship into a Armada vessel. Here is my progress: Here are the ancillary items for my upcoming MOD. I don't like stickers, so I'm replacing the stickered shields from the set with Castle ones. The flag was purchased from a resale shop in my area, and the cannons will go on the main deck of the ship. These brick built sails are going to replace the fabric ones on my copy of Triwizard Tournament - The Arrival from the Harry Potter theme. I was heavily inspired by set 31109 (Pirate Ship) from the Creator theme on the design and feel of these new sails. (I just hope my measurements based off Bricklink's part listings are correct, or at least close. The triangular sail especially gave me the most headache in orientation and size. That one will most likely need heavy modification when being attached to the ship.) The sails are digital in this picture as the ordered parts have not yet arrived. These totally purist Armada figs (six soldiers and one ship's captain) use a lot of neat parts. The legs on the soldiers, for example, came from a Castle figure from 2010. For reference reasons, here again is the original vessel from the set. The colors I said I was going to change (dark red to red, gold to black) will not be changing. Thoughts?

    Thanks @Shiva. As for your suggestion, I have never seen in any photos of that being done with a real locomotive - parked or otherwise. It's a good suggestion, but not one I'll be doing. Thank you, though.

    The Doctor (Who?), Thomas the Tank Engine, RMS Titanic, Queen Elizabeth II, and Winston Churchill want to have words with you about being forgotten as icons of British culture! (Oddly, the Doctor has seen three of those four. Still waiting for a Thomas / DW crossover episode!)

    Thanks @Feuer Zug! I also agree it's nice to inspire future generations into railroading careers (either on modern roads or in preservation circles), or maybe into being museum docents / historians... plus, pretending to be an engineer driving his mighty iron horse across the country is fun to do at any age - from 4 on up past 99!

    Agree with @thewatchman - I would check the inventory listings for each set you have, and buy those strings from Bricklink. There are a lot of string lengths LEGO has made, in different sizes and diameters, so be sure to make doubly sure what you need is what you're looking at buying by cross-referencing to the inventories.
