Should LEGO become publicly-held in 2032?
Murdoch17 replied to Callum Precious's topic in General LEGO Discussion
As far as I can tell, he was banned for not answering the mods questions and being an bot. Typical bots! -
Welcome to Eurobricks! For future reference, you have to upload pictures on a photo hosting site like Flickr, Bricksafe or Instagram - Eurobricks isn't meant to host them. As for your actual question: The figures can be reassembled into what they should be for selling if you so desired, or sold as loose parts if you don't want to work too hard at it. (You'll make more with whole figs in most cases) Also, some of them are correct already, others need help getting back to factory standard. This guy seems to be complete from your first picture, for example. He was only in one Futuron set in 1989. This fellow was in six sets from '87 to '90 from the same space theme. Moving onto Pirates, here is one of them, from one 1992 set. This 1997 pirate lass is pretty pricey, it seems, and is from one set. This Islander is also rather rare, from two 1994 sets. "The British are coming!" Actually this is an Imperial Guard officer from '92 - '95 and ten sets, but you get the gist. (Not getting into the Castle figs or Classic Town, because I'll bet you get the idea by now!) Also, the rest either are missing limbs or have wrong legs / headgear but are close to being complete except for a scant few that look like they've been Frankenstein's monster in a previous life. I would suggest checking out the website I've been linking to to see what goes where for the remainder, @III.

Do you have a picture of the set in question? I had to search Bricklink for a picture of the set (which is number 6273, for those looking) and it's too far tiny to make out many details. As to your original question: the color palate was incredibly limited at that time, and they probably were working with what they could. For example: Dark gray existed, but wasn't really heavily used as a brick color until Rock Raiders came along eight years later. Light gray was used for some castles, but still wasn't that common as far as I know. So what's the next best color for stonework? Black.

LEGO City 2025 SETS - Leaks, rumours, discussion. (Animals too)

We've already had Rocket Racer, in both forms from the games, in the Stuntz line. -

That's against the rules, just so you know. One topic, one thread, and If it gets shut down, that's it. -

Calling yourself a high up Lego employee is not a good strategy IMO... unless you can prove it? -

Can a MOD shut this thread down please? This is a ridiculous thread. -

Murdoch17 replied to Callum Precious's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This is pointless. Unless you are a VERY high-up person within Lego, this thread is meaningless and carries no weight... so why bother discussing something such as this? LEGO doesn't respond to petitions, suggestions, or arguments about what someone thinks they should do. It's a moot argument. -

By going public, the family would by definition no longer own it. -

Have you READ the responses you were given from everyone who's posted so far? Or are you just trolling? -

They almost sold to Mattel (or was it Hasbro?) once upon a time in the early 2000's, but G1 Bionicle (with some help from Harry Potter and Star Wars) saved their backsides enough they turned down the serious offer they were considering. That was then, but LEGO is now Number 1 toy manufacturer in the world, and has been for some time - even expanding market share during a downturn in the toy industry during the early 2020's while everyone else was shrinking. Simply put: there isn't enough money in either Hasbro or Mattel's piggybanks to make the owners of TLG sell out. Also, it's worth noting Mega Bloks sold out to Mattel, K'nex also sold out, while Erector / Rokenbok / Meccano / Tyco / Kre-O are long gone. Lincoln Logs I think are still around, (I don't know how, as nobody plays with those anymore!) but basically everyone LEGO has had major competition with has either folded up, shrunk, or was bought out. It's like LEGO is the last person on the dance floor still without a partner and they are doing just fine alone. -

Hell no! -
@Roebuck that makes sense, as they were trying to release the 2000 Artic line in one form or another since the mid-1980s but didn't really have the manufacturing capacity for it, which is also true for Western, Vikings, and a few others that launched later. They will actually start deleting photos if you have over 1000 and aren't on Pro. Just letting you know, @JopieK. -

It looks nice from what I can see, but you really need to host the photos elsewhere as Eurobricks isn't meant to do that. Flickr, Bricksafe, and a few others can do it. Pick one and then you can imbed the image so we can see it properly @EvansBrickHouse! -

Just because you can take something and it doesn't harm you, doesn't mean others aren't offended or hurt. The R word hurts me, as I am autistic and as are sizable percentage of the population of the world. (I would be willing to bet among AFOLs especially!) So your statement is still wrong. -

@LegendaryArticuno When did Sesame Street, Disney's Winnie the Pooh, or Flowers become adults-only, Rated R material? 18+ is just a marketing thing... nothing about it is actually for mature audiences. It's simple gimmick, plain and simple, so Deadpool is NOT happening. Not now, not anytime soon, and probably not ever. We'll get Deadpool when LEGO releases sets from WWII, or a minifig-scale torture chamber. This will, of course, happen two days after the end of time. -

Since you can't buy the stickers anywhere, I can say with 100% certainty he has the original, and adapted it.
