  1. Hah, maybe Finn's grandfather is telling the Ninjago movie's story...
  2. Not bad. Only real issue is the bachground, looks a bit plain.Try adding paths and techno-panels in the future.
  3. Really? I don't recall seeing one there. Do you mean the first two episodes? And yeah, silver or even wooden shurikens would be great! And the thought of a chrome sword... Some actual new molds would be great as well, like perhaps a curved katana? How about a piece attached to the minifig's hip, that can have a sheath clipped on to it? Apply the sheath, then apply the sword. The sheath itself can have different kinds of printing as well. One thing I don't understand is why LEGO hasn't created the transparent blue chains yet, mostly for the nunchucks of lightning. They had the perfect opportunity to with Jay's dragon, even the show sees it with blue chains... After all, we got trans green chains in the Morro dragon... But one has to wonder what it'll be used for... LEGO hasn't released any red hilts to my knowledge.
  4. Ah, it's hard to tell who means what on the internet sometimes... Ever since I contemplated a time-travel season of Ninjago, I realized how cool traditional ninja outfits would be. They could be in signature colors, but with different oriental decorations, depending on what "clan" (color) they were. For example, fire gets golden flame details on the armor, and Lloyd's gets golden or silver designs. And this would also be a good opportunity to get the dual molded 2011 hoods as well... However, from a playability value, the 2011 masks are poor... Perhaps thay could fix the back of the mask, so that it doesn't interfere with the head turning?
  5. Either way, it's still gonna be an interesting figure...
  6. Yup, but it still may seem distracting. It's not something really necessarily important, as you could just display it by itself, but... Meh. If you do decide to however, try using a river to bridge the gap, as water can be found in both biomes.
  7. I don't know of any. However, Cole can also use the brown hilts, if you have those. You can also give Kai just the plain red lightsaber blade, and Nya a blue or red one. Also, if you watch the TV show, you could MOC the dragon to look more like that. It's got titanium armor on.
  8. It looks Great! However, the point where sand and grass meet is too abrupt, it could look more natural a transition. But that's trivial, it's still really good.
  9. That is the weirdest big-fig ever... What even is it? The only clue I can see as to what it is, it the spikes on it's back. Could it be Killer Croc? But then why is he... Not green? And has dots?
  10. I'm not much a fan of Supergirl's voice, I think it could have been done better. But I am glad that they're using that hair piece for her.
  11. What I mean by "normal", is a regular city, like the US or some other place. Are you serious? I meant, that Ninjago's numerous locations, are Japanese inspired. I myself wouldn't say that Ninjago IS Japan though. The frozen wasteland? There's Japanese looking gates there. The caves of despair? Same thing. The temple of fire? There's an ornate entrance inside. The set is even more Japanese inspired. Ninjago uses something very similar to Japanese for it's writing system. There are several people with Chinese and Japanese names... I guess you can say Ninjago City (where the movie will likely take place) is some kind of a hybrid between a Japanese and a normal city.
  12. Everything here screams creativity. I'd have NEVER thought to use the golden hinge pieces for ANY mech head. There's a lot of cool and unique techniques used here.
  13. Cool. I like the arch in the center and the room to the right.
  14. Oh right, the show sees him with yellow markings as well. Really don't know how LEGO made the white variant, but forgot the additional markings. It's like Pythor's black arms all over again. One thing i'd like LEGO to do, is make katana variants. So far they're only in four colors. Not only would I like a white katana, i'd also love if they molded the katanas differently. However, i'd like them to mold it in a way where it's basically still the same sword piece, but giving it a little, extra. Like a shorter blade (LEGO's had this coming for a long time...), or the nindroid swords with the Japanese characters on them.
  15. A couple things wrong with that: One, no one has ever escaped Yang's temple, as a ghost. Only thing that comes to mind is that the transformation was only half or 75% complete. Either way, Cole isn't a normal ghost. Also, this animation is extremely different from the show's animation. This animation, is in the style of the animated set videos. It started in 2014 with Rebooted. Only the environments are similar to the show. In other words, this wasn't rushed. As soon as the minifig of "human" Cole was shown, and we saw that scar, we knew something was up. I myself called Cole's scar allowing him to switch between ghost and human.
  16. It's starting to feel like people are looking for re-assurance, rather than a discussion of how Ninjago is viewed... Oh, oops, ninja'd. My friend just gave me his spare Pythor minifig, I wouldn't have ever gotten that set myself to get it. Does anyone else think his design is a little... Simplistic? It looks like it's just white and purple to me, while the earlier design was more colorful with gold and black.
  17. Yes, that would suck. I'd say Ninjago city is part "normal", and partly Japanese inspired. I wouldn't go overboard and say it's a completely Japan-ized setting, that's not true.
  18. But the most convenient and, most importantly, quick, way to do that is to use the hand closest to the desired sword. You'll lose time and it's inconvenient of you reach across your body to get a sword your other hand could have gotten. You could be defeated that way, seconds matter. Thing is, people don't actually think about sword placement. The new scabbards are also placed inconveniently by everyone as well. They just pose what they think looks cool. I mean, there's nothing really wrong with that, but it radiates some form of... arrogance, to me, especially when people don't care after hearing explanations (from others). Sure, the show's done it right, but only a few instances.
  19. But Ninjago is mostly a parody of an East Asian world (the first two episodes provide example). Do you really think the buildings will look normal? Do you really think they'll pass up an opportunity like this? Really, tons of buildings in Ninjago City are Japanese inspired, with Eastern writings on billboards and posters, even in the Digiverse. It's also a written language.
  20. It's nice that they reference the TV show more often these days (the Starfarer comic). It's also nice to see that LEGO, finally placed the katanas in a way so that they can be pulled out facing forward...
  21. Not bad But now the real test Will it transform?? Just kidding, excellent job! Best polybuild I've seen in a while
  22. I like the floorwork in each area, It's so smooth!
  23. I like the placement of all the "water" type sets in different places, it builds the environment. I also like how Misfortune's Keep classifies as a water vehicle. But did you know that the Realm Crystal is located in an underwater cave? If you didn't know this, you could reconfigure it's location a bit.
  24. Awesome! I always thought of a diorama that's a florescent forest type thing, but now not only do we get that, but it's also Possession themed! Coats off to this.
  25. I'm pretty sure she can do it. Maybe it's just her "shtick" for her to not use it much. Maybe because it's too easy? Or because it's for emergencies only? Maybe it's her personal challenge? Also good to note, that Morro didn't do spinjitzu either. And Misako isn't a ninja, and she can do spinjitzu as well. But she doesn't find it necessary to use all the time. Funny, how Dogshank's tale takes place in the arena that was never used...
