  1. It's because of Hulkbuster, isn't it? But basically yeah, ^ this ^ is what i'm also trying to say. With all this "innovation", i'd also like them to stop flashing hints every three seconds and actually let people figure out what to do. What killed me was either Nindroids or Shadow of Ronin. I was legitimately expecting some new combat or techno blade mechanics, but we had nothing but a handheld Lego game. Same thing with SoR, but that was a bit better, but overall the same. Lego games may have something new in it each game, but that new addition may not be very useful. Take for instance the infamous Lego Batman 3. There's really nothing here to set it apart in a meaningful gameplay-wise way, besides small touches like a suit hotbar. Or Lego Marvel's Avengers. Besides pressing circle for a team move, no new gameplay here. You can compare this game to Lego Marvel Superheroes and there's almost no gameplay differences that aren't for aesthetic (*ahem* Hulk jump) In fact, some changes made gameplay worse (you can't fly straight up or down anymore). It doesn't have to completely transform the game (but I will admit, that would indeed be unique). But I honestly believe Lego games can have changes that can make the current gameplay more than just pressing, mashing, or holding a button. I feel like Lego Dimensions is the perfect place to test these ideas, as it's always having updates. It can be anything, like character upgrades, or an inventory. Just anything to make it feel like a different Lego game.
  2. It's not for me. That "system" (calling the season by it's worded name) is for others. If some people say it's season 7 or 8, people will get confused. But if you say rise of the villains or whatever this wave/season is called, that would avoid confusion. I was just stating that I will call the next season season 8. Besides, i'm using this order because LEGO did. It's not my fault Rebooted messed everything up.
  3. Another difference is that LD came out years later... Look, i'm not saying Lego games have no variation at all, just that the changes they make from one game to another, aren't exactly revolutionary. Lego Marvel's Avengers? Nothing there that's really interesting or different. That's why i'm not getting it, since I already have LMS. I watched gameplay of levels, and really, nothing there is different besides little things. Aesthetic looks don't matter, i'm talking about gameplay itself. Lego Batman 3 didn't really set itself apart gameplay-wise either. The Legend of Zelda games all have noticeable gameplay changes. One game utilizes more gadgets and forms, another has a sailing aspect that wasn't seen before. Another has an (or so I've heard) innovative and unique combat system. Super Mario does the same thing. One game uses a super water pump, another features small hubs to do levels in (like LD), and another is a prefected 2.5D platformer. However, some of their games do actually have nothing new to add. This can be LEGO if they added more significant gameplay changes to their games. I dunno, but I think they may even be afraid to try in fear of it not selling well. I dunno. I like the direction they're going with the new Star Wars game though. Multiple ways to solve a situation and blaster combat seem interesting.
  4. What turns people away from the Chain Cycle is that there are no real characters exclusive to this set. Wrayth and Airjitzu Zane come in other, more cheaper sets. And the Pyrrhus has no distinguishing features from other ghosts as well. For some reason LEGO thinks Zane is the coolest ninja or something, because he's been an exclusive character for some time now.
  5. Lol However, despite that, this wave still remains very obscure. I think the only set that will honestly give away major plot details will be X-Cave Chaos, and Airjitzu Battle Grounds. After all, these sets are actual location. There may be compartments and stickers that give away the plot (like Tiger Widow Island). Eh, I still say its season 8. Tbh to avoid confusion I just use the name of the season rather than it's number (Like Rebooted, Possession, Year of The Snakes, etc.).
  6. I thought each wave had only one retail exclusive... Guess I was wrong...
  7. Lol Then what was the inspiration for his name?
  8. I guess that Lego games are still... Fun... To play. LEGO puts their heart and soul in their games. But only in cerain places. Like cutscene recreation and quotes. Gameplay? I doubt it. From the angle i'm looking at, it kinda looks like LEGO doesn't want to get out of their shells and make new gameplay mechanics. Each Lego game is basically the same. And that wouldn't be a problem if the gameplay was different. But that's the thing; It's not. I mean, look at The Hobbit... Playing as different dwarves didn't feel different and it thought it could be cinematic by having you button mash. That's uncreative and kinda lazy.
  9. Alright, glad to help. 1.) Click "forums" at the top of the screen. 2.) Go to the "Special Interests" section (it should be the second to last forum section on the page). 3.) Over there you will find the "Brick Flicks and Comics" forum. How to move a video there? I don't know. Maybe ask a mod. I hope this helps.
  10. Nice little story you have going there. Looking forward to see where it goes. I myself feel a little mixed with the mini-builds. They look nice, bit if you're going to use a mini-build for your settings, try to pack more detail in them. After all, it is a minibuild.
  11. It all looks a bit small, but the story has potential for some huge chamber-like locations. Keep it going if you want to.
  12. It is? Wow, no wonder I couldn't find it. Yeah, definitely buy that online.
  13. lol So apparently LEGO has had this one stop motion up about a kid recreating the first episodes of Ninjago, and in it, Wu is wearing that one suit we all keep seeing. And you knew all along Curtis! Why??
  14. It may not be broken, but it is getting boring. I don't like what LEGO is doing. When it starts to get old, they make one or two fresh ideas, and it goes on. Aren't you tired of it? Again, it may not be broken, but does that matter? If it makes the game more unique, while retaining at least the same amount of fun it had, then why not?
  15. ? I realized a bit ago, that Cole's Rock Roader, has aspects of EVERY vehicle Cole's gotten. His mech suit gunblades are at the back. It has the build of the Jungle Raider and the Tread assault. It's got a turret like the Boulder Blaster. And it's got dual blades coming from the back like Cole's Earth Drill. The detail here's neat. I wonder if Zane's Titanium Tumbler has the same thing going on. Looks more like a vehicular version of the Ninjacopter if anything else though.
  16. This. THIS is what I mean. Rebooted had some really good ideas, the only thing I didn't like about it was the love triangle. But they could have taken it a step further, like having more... Actual futuristic stuff. Maybe Zane's gi could have had a stealth setting, or Cole's outfit come with black armor. Definitely one of my favorite seasons overall, but Year of The Snakes was by far my favorite. With Cole becoming a ghost-human hybrid next season, i'd really like them to take this opportunity to discover themselves again. It really looks like this is what they were set up for. Zane can find peace with his new body, Cole can get used to being solid again, Jay can adapt to his blurry eye, and Nya always has some sort of issue, so she can do that, and unlock her NRG form. This way, the vibes of the old days can return.
  17. Chen's chair originally appeared in season 5 of the TV show. It also appeared in level 3 of Lego Dimensions.
  18. But there's the thing... Minecraft is a different game. Minecraft is a complete open world, while Lego games aren't. There isn't a lot to do that would boost replayability. There's two points I made in my last post: One, that Lego games are too simple these days and could use an actual challenge rather than just button prompts. And two, that future Lego games and even a patch of LD could benefit from character upgrades (that are sensible, of course). For example, upgrade flight speed, since basically every character has the same flight speed.
  19. But it was only like 45 seconds total. S2 YOTS had Zane vs the Guradian and treehorns fight, Kai vs Garmadon, and fights against armies. Really good stuff. I'm bringing this up because I rewatched two episodes and was blown away by how much different a vibe it gave off than the new seasons.
  20. Neat, you've got four dragon heads to use in MOCs and stuff then. But i'd say to get one of the original dragons if you can, their heads are done really well. Season 1 had a lot of good picks for sets. Sure the other waves may be better, but it's still taking a look at. Maybe Wisp (lightning dragon), which is the best Ninjago set of S1 for me.
  21. Maybe even a cameo to the Arkham games, like the Joker being sick, or slamming the batmobile into someone, or gadgets from the game like the ice-grenades.
  22. It would be pretty neat to be able to upgrade characters. Tbh, if there's anything Lego games need, it's depth. So what if kids actually have to do a puzzle without a button prompt every 3 seconds? Upgrades would add amazing mechanics to gameplay, depending on what the upgrades are. I doubt there'll ever be a combat-focused adventure game from LEGO, but that's not all upgrades are for. If you could equip three upgrades at a time, you could solve puzzles in several creative ways.
  23. I can see where you're coming from. I expected the dragon to be bigger and have more details. However, the Raid Reppelin delivered on the latter request... Now you need to buy the original 4 and the true form... have fun spending > $1000...
  24. I've been thinking, has anyone else liked the second season Year of The Snakes the best out of all the seasons? This season seemed special to me. It progressed slowly enough to process all these locations, and tell a story at the same time. There was also character progression. What I liked the most though, was that the ninja had skillz compared to now. (this may be because of the weapons though). I mean, ask yourself, how many actual fights were there since the old seasons? There was The Second Serpentine War (not really), the Preeminent (which was okay, but it was just, there...), and Nadakhan (which was definitely not a real fight). The last seasons had The Devourer and The Overlord, which were definitely fights. The ninja seem, I dunno, de-powered all of a sudden, skill wise. Even if you don't see eye to eye with ^ this ^, you can't argue that the vibes you got from the snake and Overlord seasons are different than what we see now. I'm hoping the new outfits aren't the only throwbacks, if you know what I mean. I hope there's more than 10 episodes this time...
  25. lol anyway Has anyone thought of how this movie might not only refrence the live-action Batman, but ALL Batmen? TV shows, video games, even some comics. There'll be a lot to reference if they do this.
