But, the movie will be mostly in TLM animation. I just hope that they realize how useful this "link" can be.

Cool! I like how there's actually a place to chill inside, and not just a regular ship. Also love that it's somewhat minifig-scale.

Ikr... However if you couldn't...

Will there be variants for the Ninjago movie? Or will the game just ignore its existence? I mean, there can't be two Batmans playable either... Right?
-
Yes, that's... Kind of what I meant, sort of. Giving this entire movie an anime animation would probably kill it. What I'd personally like is for the movie to mainly be in TLM animation, with doses of "Lego sakuga" here and there. And maybe even some light-hearted interaction here and there (but not completely anime, oh god no...)... The Lego game series is basically the same gameplay styles over and over, and it's beginning to take a visible toll on the games (unless the TFA game is good). A lot of people wouldn't like the LCU to consist of the exact same style either. And besides, the Lego Batman movie is more or less TLM, but there are slight artstyle differences if you look closely. Lego is about creativity, so why not try different things?

That's not what I meant. What I mean, is that there was just something TLM's animation; How characters jumped around and changed expressions, all in very few "frames". Kind of like anime. Yes, I know that this is a stretch and I sound silly. But, if this movie had some... More, of the above then it may convey some kind of anime feeling anyway. I know that the above observations were only seen on some occasions, and a lot of parts actually appear to be in a lot of frames per second, making it feel like a very well made stop motion rather than an anime. But the parts that were there, kind of felt like it to me. Each franchise's movie needs to stand out, so that it isn't the same style all the time (that would wear thin to some people). I'm not saying the Ninjago movie be completely "5 frames per second", but just that this link could be expanded on, somehow. Not only that, but it was 3D, And they were human. The manga? Also human. It was a missed opportunity...

So fancy, I like it.

Now that I think of it, does anyone else think The LEGO Movie's animations and such, can work as anime? Firstly, you get the "frames per second" feel when you watch it, and secondly, the expressions made by the minifigures can work like anime as well. ... Now that I think of it, there was never really a Lego anime before... Exo-Force got it wrong, as they made manga, but they weren't in minifig form. Also, an anime spin on TLM's animation can give the movie a charm.

Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread

I meant the Skybound suits, where they are basically the same suit with different recolors (however, these are very good recolors). Also, I was complementing the summer suits for being different. The first episodes, and a little bit of the next season, had the ninja following these attributes, I didn't get them out of nowhere. Primarily from the Skulkin season, the order goes earth (defense), fire (attack), stealth (ice), and speed (lightning). While this was not explicitly stated in the show, it was present in the cards and books, as well as the ninja demonstrating these abilities in the first two seasons. For example, Jay is the "quick" fighter of the group during a fight scene in episode 1. Another instance is Zane using stealth in a few episodes. But now? Jay isn't even fast, and Zane was the first to get wrecked by Nadakhan, despite being the stealthy one. All of them feel the same combat and skill wise. And also, several people refer to the skill guide I mentioned in Ninjago's earlier years, and sometimes even today. She does spinjitzu twice. The first time she's corrupted and prematurely brings the skill out. The second time, if you slow down the intro in the TOE season, you can see Nya's spinjitzu a little.- 4,591 replies

Speaking of an elemental high school, i'd love to see the elemental masters included in the movie somehow. Maybe Ash, Karlof, and Shade can be dropouts, or in a gang or something. Regular students, or just being in the movie in general, sounds good with me.

After always wearing color swaps of the same outfit, the ninja finally wear the exact same suit. That is a sad future... One thing I noticed about Ninjago compared with other elemental shows, is that Ninjago focuses much more on raw power, rather than skill with the particular power itself. Take Nya for example. She can summon a huge wave, yet her regular skills? Shooting water from her hands in a straight line. I feel like only a few characters in Ninjago that are actually skilled enough to compete with other elemental characters. And for some reason, the key attributes that each ninja possessed are gone. Jay no longer showcases speed, Zane no longer demonstrates stealth, Kai actually attacks the least these days, and Cole gets destroyed when he's against bigger characters. They had these abilities for around until the Overlord season ended. Then they were just gone. And now it's only their personality that's left. And yes, those ^ abilities ^ were actually in the show.- 4,591 replies

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Video Game Discussion

So far it looks like the basic break and build stuff, so nothing new there. However, I do think having multiple ways to solve a problem is cool. I hope that it actually makes the level different rather than being there just because, and they don't actually have much effect on the game. I also like how there's a TPS in the game as well. Too bad you can't switch into this mode freely at any time (no one said you couldn't, but I know that won't happen).- 201 replies

Can a Chinese dragon be found in the Ninjago hub world? As in a decoration maybe? Also, is GhostKnight Supposed to be from the Scooby Doo hub?

Oriental buildings... In Lego? This could possibly be the best looking movie in the LCU.

Nuckal and Kruncha aren't legit bad guys, it's hard to take them seriously. The skulkins were all pretty basic in the show. But in the sets, Frakjaw and Krazi were fan favorites. Chopov and Bonezai (my second favorite) aren't as popular. It's like Lasha. He's a fan favorite (and mine too), so a variant of him is in a new set, because he's more popular than, say, Fang Suei.

Firstly, while sure, Ninjago = Japan, I myself wouldn't get my hopes up. Secondly, I heard that the Hagemans aren't actually writing this (maybe they didn't like their plot, hence this new one?) Huh. Well, there's their defense. Besides, I feel like aside from a few pieces of films and shows, the high school heroes genre isn't really done right. Here's what i'm hoping for in this movie: That the ninja actually know who Wu is at the start of the movie, because if this isn't the case i'll be kinda sad since they really are regular schoolers. Ninja by night? In this case, I really hope to see them doing some really shady ninja stuff at night in the big city. Like fighting bad guys on rooftops of downtown, or on the docks. Bad guys in school. Hallway fights! Locker stealth! (also, would be really funny if the X cave is under the school and you used a locker to get there) Above all, I really don't want this movie to be cringe-inducing. The LEGO Movie made me laugh, haven't cringed once. Speaking of the LEGO Movie, can we Assume this movie will be Lego-ized too due to the black base in the background, and the possibly brick-built Ninjago sign, as well as the "LEGO" in the title instead of in the corner?

Yeah. Maybe Cryptor never died either, explaining his black robes?- 4,591 replies

Cool! But where is Zane? I see Nya, Kai, Jay, and... Someone. Either Zane or Lloyd, but there's no white to be seen, so I think it's Lloyd. Curiously, they are in their airjitzu gis. Also, I think Krazi and Frakjaw were chosen to represent the skulkin, because they're fan favorites. Chopov and Bonezai weren't as popular either. Also sad to see Cryptor isn't in his white suit, but maybe the black one symbolizes Cryotor's regain of control again? For some strange reason, LEGO likes to tease the golden weapons. Cole has the scythe of quakes, just like Jay had the nunchucks of lightning. Here's hoping he'll actually use it though...

Cool. Maybe try making this build look more akin to the goblin glider, for a little more... Interesting...ness...

[LDD][MOC] Blackstone Temple

I haven't really seen a digital Lego model that ever looked somewhat realistic (other than Lego CG game trailers). I guess I need to see more comparisons to tell. Taking a closer look at this, I now see small inaccuracies like how odd the gold and flame pieces look. However, the reflective properties of these pictures are so realistic looking, that's what must have gotten me. -
But... That would have been amazing... Besides, Lego games are too easy. People need to get gud and actually think to win, rather than break to win.

Batman has a wrestling suit? ... With muscles on it? ... This movie will be amazing.

Maybe... It's a new team of ninja...? Although six new characters does seem like a bit much... Well, we know it isn't canon to the show now. However, this means that it might be animated like TLM, since it's not canon anyway... Or maybe... The old Ninjago as we knew it is being destroyed, and this is the second reboot?? I think it was corny on purpose, it's a stereotypical pirate line. Also, I don't think there are any lyrics out, so that may not be the accurate line.- 4,591 replies
