Nope, don't know the current story all too well. I was skimming through this thread and that caught my attention.

I would be okay with a Castle theme with four total sets: a small set with a carriage and two figures, a $12 set with a section of wall for the good guys, a $30-40 set with a decent sized structure for the bad guys, and a $80 Castle for the good guys with a blacksmith shop inside and a small siege engine. If Lego made all of the sets affordable, it might attract more customers who would be more willing to take a "risk" on a theme that they might not like as much as the bigger themes.

LEGO Nexo Knights 2018
BrickJagger replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
It's really frustrating that Lego gave us everyone's hairpieces but only as keychains. They easily could have done that for Aaron though, despite it being in a magazine. Wouldn't a mold for it already exist?- 1,601 replies

I thought that was confirmed. I'm as confused as you are now! Nonetheless, I don't think we should be expecting molded animals, regardless of the set's size.

Did you expect the animals to be molds? It's only a $20 set, and even if it were massive I don't think Lego would make a new mold for all of the animals.

Since Nexo was always planned to end in 2018, I don't think that they would need a year off for new Castle. The last Nexo wave coming out this January would make it a year and a half between Nexo ending and another Castle theme starting in June 2019, I think that's fair. I hope we aren't dogpiling that poor guy. He could just mean that he hopes there will be Pirate packs of some kind, but something Pirate themed coming out next year is not unlikely.

Hopefully we aren't gassing this up too much but if that's true, it's exciting. Do you have any more information?

Lego Nexo Knights TV Series Discussion

Has anyone heard or seen anything about Season 5 recently? I would wager that it's cancelled at this point. -
LEGO Nexo Knights 2018
BrickJagger replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Just built the Tech Wzrd Showdown...good set! I love the mech-inside-a-mech concept, and the big mech looks fittingly imposing. The main problem that I have with it is the sword arm, which doesn't have nearly as much articulation as it should. The shield arm is fine, I'll even give the legs and their limited mobility a pass, but the sword can't even be used like a sword. It can't reach over the mech's body or forward and back. Meh. The figure selection is pretty good, once again I suspect that Clay would have had his armor in the summer wave had that ever come out. Same goes for Monstrox just being a hologram in here, it's disappointing that we'll never get him in figure form but I can't fault this set for not including him. The Tech Vampire is nice as usual, and the infected Squirebot is a solid addition. This set could have used one extra figure IMO but that's just wishful thinking. It looks great next to the other two Knighton Mechs, those being the King's Mech and the Black Knight's Mech. I do wish that any of the three villain factions had a large mech or golem that was to scale with their Knighton counterparts. Golems like Burnzie, Sparkks and Grimroc are too small to fill that role, and the Stone Colossus is obviously too large. The closest in size is Infernox, but he is still a good bit shorter. Seconded.- 1,601 replies

LEGO Nexo Knights 2018
BrickJagger replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Interesting. Do you think it will end in the next few months or run for the rest of the year? They seem to be pushing out NK quite quickly, and I'm pretty sure that the TV show is cancelled.- 1,601 replies

If Pirates were to come back in 2019 with some sort of wacky twist (i.e. Castle and Nexo Knights), I think that they could get away with an "Islander" type faction. Granted, most of you probably wouldn't like it, but that's the best way I can think of to bring them back with today's modern standards. I mean, we all remember the Jabba's Palace debacle, right?

I think that having several threads to discuss Castle in general (This one, a few of Itaria's, Wardancer's, etc.) is a good thing for this forum. It keeps it alive and draws more people in here not only to discuss Castle, but also to look at some of the amazing MOCs on here. In the meantime, I doesn't hurt to sit around and speculate for the next few months until we get something concrete.

TLG's disappointing 2017 financial performance
BrickJagger replied to AmperZand's topic in General LEGO Discussion
People can respond to anything they want to on here, but a thesis paper deconstructing why and how someone is wrong is not always required. I've already made it clear that I don't want to keep talking about this. Thanks. -
TLG's disappointing 2017 financial performance
BrickJagger replied to AmperZand's topic in General LEGO Discussion
As I said to your brother, we're going to disagree on this. We all have our own opinions. I have mine, you have yours. I'm all for a good discussion but needling every single person about everything they say ruins the fun of this forum. Sometimes it's just better to let people have their own "nonsensical" and "ridiculous" opinions rather than pointing them out as many times as possible. -
TLG's disappointing 2017 financial performance

I have no basis for anything. Every post in this thread is subjective outside of basic facts. I don't think either of us is going to convince the other of anything, so continuing this discussion is counterproductive. -
TLG's disappointing 2017 financial performance
BrickJagger replied to AmperZand's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Lego is in trouble. Between pretty much all of what @Maple said being true and TLG's slumping financial performance, they need a big change, and quick. Personally, if they were to stop acquiring the newest garbage licenses just to pump out a wave or two and leave it at that, they would be selling more than they are now. None of Jurassic Walls: Fallen Walls interests me, nor do the Powerpuff Girls or Unikitty's brick-built series of manufactured creativity. This is going to bite them in the long run, and I wish more people took notice of that fact. They've gotten so far away from their company message and values that 2003 is beginning to look like a company renaissance. If near-bankruptcy for a second time is what it takes to right the ship, so be it. Not trying to be a downer but even TLG still looks to be okay at the current moment, all signs are pointing to a sharp downward spiral. To me, TRU represents the biggest pillar of the toy industry. It is solely devoted to toys, and nothing else. There isn't even that much of an emphasis placed on video games or gaming consoles. Just regular toys. When TRU falls, the toy industry will not be in crisis but certainly will be in a danger zone. Lego, Mattel and Hasbro will survive for the time being, but smaller companies will all but go out of business because of TRU shutting down. Those Big 3 companies need to make sure that they don't get outflanked by technology and find a way to appeal to the newest generation of kids, or else they will all go under. -
Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
BrickJagger replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This set is from the upcoming Fantastic Beasts movie. Just look at that Thestral mold! I could easily see that showing up in fantasy-themed Castle sets. Edit: Also, is that a new downsized dragon wing mold? This bodes very well for us, I daresay. -
Modular Buildings are not Castles. Trying to relate them to Castles other than putting out a Castle inspired modular is...silly to say the least. There's nothing out right now that appeals to us Lego, you can go ahead and admit it. Make up for it next year!
-
Modularity is actually better suited for Castle than any other theme, if you think about it. I've always liked what Lego has put out in terms of modular-style builds but wish that the modern themes could run longer so we could see the concept explored further. I think that if Castle 2013 had a second wave with a few shops that integrated into the wall, even just one or two, it would have been viewed in a far more favorable light. At least over here, I know we're all suckers for peasants.

[MOC] Nexo Knights -- Ava's Stone Embassy

This is amazing! Easily one of the best Nexo MOCs that I've ever seen. I love all of the funny details.
