  1. I remember reading that each knight was supposed to have a castle themed around their animal. That would have been very Chima-esque, thank god they scrapped it.
  2. That doesn't take away from the fact that the LOTR sets didn't sell well despite the added hype of three full length Hobbit films. I don't think Lego would try that again, at least I hope not.
  3. I feel for ya. I find myself resenting Star Wars' constant presence more and more with each passing movie. I like the franchise as a whole but I wish it would just fade away after Episode 9.
  4. Zero chance that LOTR is coming back. I've seen some talk about that from members here and it makes no sense. The original line didn't sell very well, and the Hobbit was last in theaters over three years ago. Expect a regular Castle theme in 2019, or 2020 at the absolute latest. Castle seems to be the most popular among the Castle/Space/Pirates classics, and Lego almost never leaves us hanging, especially when literally nothing would be blocking Castle.
  5. While Classic Space is still popular, I don't think it has a good chance of making a comeback. Lego has evolved a lot since those sets, and even a modern version of the theme would be almost unrecognizable. Space itself is probably shelved until at least 2021, when the last major planned Star Wars film comes out.
  6. Do you have an official source for that? It's certainly reasonable to assume, but this post seems to be based off of info.
  7. https://brickset.com/article/33697/this-year-s-toy-fairs-will-be-a-disappointment
  8. Well, since Lego will not be present at any of the Toy Fairs, we probably won't know whether or not NK is continuing for several months.
  9. This is seriously impressive. At a glance I can't even see the boat hull, and I wouldn't have recognized it had you not pointed it out. Great job!
  10. Happy the Elf won. I see my fellow Saxophone players are showing up in force.
  11. I wouldn't lose hope yet. While Space and Pirates have had multiple extended periods without new sets, Castle has had something pretty much every year. I know you both disagree, but Lego sees NK as a Castle theme, which is actually a good sign. In their eyes, the only years in which there were no Castle sets at all were 2001, 2003 and 2015. Castle has always had a strong and loyal fanbase, and it seems to sell better than Space or Pirates based on how frequently Lego makes sets for the theme. Honestly, if I had to guess, we'll get a new Castle theme as early as next summer, and no later than 2020. They would't leave us hanging that long at all.
  12. Lego is at the NY Toy Fair every year, but the London Toy Fair is on the 23rd, so expect to hear at least descriptions of the sets by then. Images will most likely come at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, which starts on the 31st.
  13. Guess it's finally confirmed that Nexo is a realm of Ninjago
  14. Seconded. Edit: Got it. I'm seeing a strong resemblance to General Magmar's Siege Machine, which is good.
  15. I built the Berserker Bomber recently and I noticed that the red circle on the Mechabyter's chest is very similar to the "Eye" that comes in the set. Are they connected?
  16. Interesting. I probably won't buy any, but I'm curious to see how the TV show will translate into set form. Hopefully it turns out okay.
  17. Bad example. The Fortrex was named by Lego as being one of their best selling sets of 2016. The fact that they're still rolling out new copies of it two years after release should say enough. We already have one dedicated Nexo Knights critic in here, I don't think there's room for two.
  18. Hello and welcome!
  19. Not really that insane. Go check out the rumor threads in some of the other sections and you'll see what I mean. Welcome to EB, by the way.
  20. That's a pretty plausible set list. 3 sets is what every new Marvel movie gets, and these are a nice bonus to go along with FB. Looking forward to seeing how the Great Hall turns out.
  21. Recently you've been posting like you knew something that everyone else didn't, but that's been cleared up. No worries there. However, I'd like to direct you back to April of this year, when almost everyone was sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that NK would be ending at the end of the year. That turned out to be false. Also, take note that the Winter wave didn't not show up in the catalogs, although every other theme did. We still got it. Until the Nuremberg Toy Fair in three weeks we don't know whether or not it will continue, and no indications have been given to support either side.
  22. If I had to guess, @Falconfan1414 is guessing.
  23. Whatever the case may be, we should find out within the next three weeks.
