  1. I have four of those brackets, seems like I need four more then. The prices are insane at the moment though...
  2. Damn, I just noticed those are old-style (studded) pneumatic rams that the model uses. That makes it cost-prohibitive for me to build it Or is there an easy way to substitute them with newer (rounded) cylinders?
  3. They're too expensive, so I will use metallic silver ones instead. Apparently that looks better as well.
  4. Whoops, I meant the LBG 3x3 inverted dishes. 2x2 are very common. Here's a BL link: http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=43898 They're probably rare because they are used in SW sets. Same goes for the LBG levers... damn that 10179.
  5. I do know that Porsche have trademarked the characteristic 'shape' of their cars.
  6. My guess is that your MOCs make TLG's own supercars look bad, and they don't like that
  7. I found multiple Bricklink stores in Europe selling them? I haven't built this MOC yet, but according to Bricklink I now have 99,9% of the parts. Only missing the LBG 3x3 dishes, which are very rare. Might just replace them with metallic silver ones, a Blakbird suggested.
  8. That Power Puller up top counts as 100 parts by itself
  9. I managed to snatch all three off Marktplaats (Dutch eBay) for very low prices :-) 8448 too.
  10. http://rebrickable.com/mocs/jaaptechnic/komatsu-wa320-5 http://rebrickable.com/mocs/nico71/wheel-loader-rc http://rebrickable.com/mocs/AttilaNagyAbonyi/8265-motorized-biker http://rebrickable.com/mocs/jurgen/fully-pf-backhoe-loader First three have free instructions, last one (best one) is paid.
  11. I've bought 42006 and 42009, now waiting for the 2014 sets.
  12. I was wondering about this as well, I think D3K mentioned in another thread that he wanted to make a pneumatically extended boom.
  13. Good job! I like the flashy colours.
  14. Sure, check my PM. Edit: you don't have enough posts yet to use the PM system. Post your email address and I'll send the links there.
  15. Great job Sheepo, I will definitely be buying the instructions when they become available (keep us updated!). Love the use of soft axles and ribbed hoses for contouring, seems to be a bit of a lost art nowadays.
  16. I think both systems have their merits, and it's best to combine their respective strenghts. However, TLG seems to be phasing out all 'studded' elements in the Technic theme, which is a shame. Compare 8461 to 42000. 8461 is just so much more satisfying to build (and looks miles better, to boot).
  17. I completely agree. The 8461 is a perfect example. So much fun to build, thanks to the studded chassis. Very sturdy as well. 8466 is also a good example. Good blend of studded and studless. Wish TLG would go back to that. Perhaps, but you need less Technic bricks (and plates) to achieve the same level of 'sturdiness'. Liftarms are very wobbly unless reinforced properly.
  18. I wish TLG still used studded Technic beams to build the frames of vehicles etc. Just more fun to build than with liftarms.
  19. 8461 all the way, what a thing of beauty. Just built it for the first time, was a very enjoyable build as well. Blows 42000 out of the water.
  20. This beauty is on my to-build list as well. A few bricklink orders to go first though, need a lot more pneumatic tubing and studfull bricks.
  21. I don't see why not, if chromed bricks are allowed.
