    I think 8043 would be even better - more complex and more fun to play with (especially if you then build Jurgen's ultimate version). Also looks better.

    I think techniques where it's hard or even impossible to take apart parts again are also considered 'illegal'. 42000 uses some of these.

    Orange will be very expensive I'm afraid, some parts (especially the liftarms) are very rare in that colour. I'm also going to build the Defender 110 soon, finally got all the parts (some of them also rare) together.

    True, I bit the bullet when I saw a couple on sale for 15 EUR a piece. They're only going to get more expensive, as I highly doubt Lego will ever produce a new set that uses them. Edit: OMG.. I just got very lucky and bought a used near-perfect 8466 for only 85 EUR! That's 4 more Power Pullers!

    If you have the 8043, build Jurgen's ultimate 8043 as well. It allows simultaneous operation of all functions, just like the Zorex.

    Yeah it's quite a complex Technic set, especially if it's your first one! Did you like the building experience (disregarding the mistakes)? Many people have trouble adjusting to the studless constructions paradigm. By the way, make sure you orient the dark blue grey clutch gears correctly in the gearbox, this might have caused those errors.

    That should be "Black Tire Technic Racing Large with 'MICHELIN' White Pattern", Eurobricks didn't like my long title. Anyway, is the 'Michelin' pattern on both sides of the tire or only on one side? I tried googling but to no avail. Bricklink only shows one side (I think),

    I think you're better off using silicon spray than teflon spray on Lego parts. In any case, don't use WD40 as it practically melts ABS.

    This might do well on Cuusoo? I'd wager it has more chance of reaching review stage than all those Technic MOCs consisting of 1K+ pieces anyway.
