  1. All I see there are two reviews of MOCs, and no links to MOCs themselves?
  2. If I recall correctly we used to have a nice stickied thread which linked to all kinds of cool MOCs and their instructions. Or did I dream this? Maybe we should make a new thread?
  3. I missed this one as well, looks pretty cool! Wouldn't mind some instructions (or loads of pictures) when you finish it ;-)
  4. You mean 92910 and 92911? I guess they can still be used, you just have to compensate for the angle, like nicjasno did.
  5. Check out Madoca's excellent SUV Mk2, it features AWD with 2 x XL for drive and 1 x Servo for steering. Edit: here you have pictorial instructions: https://plus.google....727481712223793
  6. Yeah, I noticed the sluggish steering and bump steer in 8110 as well, but didn't have the technical know-how to put it down to the bad pivot geometry and caster angle. I guess 9398 and 41999 suffer from the same problems as well, since (if I recall correctly) they use a similar suspension/steering setup.
  7. Nice video nicjasno, makes me want to build the 8110 with your axle design :)
  8. Makes sense, thanks for the information Figured it was something like that.
  9. It's a very ugly set but it has some very nice parts
  10. Yes, that thought also occurred to me. No need to have the brakes right next to the wheels.
  11. What's so bad about angled steering arms? Not everyone is a steering geometry expert
  12. 42008 is really one of the ugliest Technic sets released in the past decade. What were they thinking at Lego ?!? But yeah, I second the vote for 42000. It looks good, and it's a nice parts pack to boost.
  13. 8473 - orange 1x9 thick liftarm 8473 - orange 1x11 thick liftarm 8473 - orange axle and pin connector angled #2 Had to buy those for Jurgen's Zorex-220.. ouch :D Worth it though, love that orange colour. One more: 8651 - light bluish gray axle and pin connector angled #4 Needed for Sheepo's Defender.
  14. So they're not really wasted steps, are they?
  15. Something that would also be useful is to be able to set up matching 'rules'. For instance, have old grey gears match the new light bluish gears, or have old-style pin connectors without slot match the new ones with slot.
  16. Check out basebrick.com, I find that site perfect for managing my parts inventory. I keep my parts updated there, then export to Rebrickable to match MOCs etc.
  17. How about a proper garbage truck? With crusher, container pickup, etc.
  18. I've been looking through the instructions of Madoca's supercar, monster truck and SUV, and I must say I'm really impressed by his skill. Very clean building style, with good use of parts, and impressive styling to boot. TLG-worthy models IMO. Can't wait for his next MOC.
  19. I actually managed to build in a V12 instead of the original V8 when I made my 8070 fully RC a year ago (and redesigned the ugly backside), let's see if I still have some pictures somewhere.. And yes, the 8878 rechargeable battery box is a must!
