  1. DrJB seems to have a patent on those as of late
  2. Well, I didn't do anything really this time, the authors themselves uploaded the models I just tagged them with 'TC5' so they're easy to find.
  3. Search for TC5 on Rebrickable to find the TC5 entries uploaded there so far. Really like what I'm seeing!
  4. This is well put, and exactly how I went about building my current inventory.
  5. I doubt LEGO would cater to such a small niche (compared to the rest of the buyers) that we Technic AFOLs form. Our best bet is new sets reintroducing older parts, like 42029 did for suspension arms (right? I'm not sure, haven't build it yet).
  6. Dang it, have to beat Blakbird for once to building this beauty. Hurry up LEGO PAB and send me my red panels! P.S.: gorgeous renders as usual, BB!
  7. Exactly this. There are more and more awesome Technic MOCs available which a LOT of people want to build (especially with sites like Rebrickable (shameless plug!) becoming more popular), yet the supply of rare Technic parts has always been low and parts which are no longer in production will ofcourse become even more rare, hence more expensive. Some MOC builders like Crowkillers already take extra care when designing their MOCs to not use very rare parts. Unfortunately, his MOCs are so popular that any semi-rare parts any of his new MOCs may use almost immediately become very rare after the MOC is released
  8. Buy sets second-handed, if you don't care about boxes and/or parts being in 100% mint condition. A lot cheaper usually. Check BrickLink, BrickOwl and your local eBay/eBay clone for good deals, as others mentioned.
  9. Don't forget Madoca's awesome Tatra! Also, there are some excellent upcoming MOCs that also require 2 of them, but I can't spill any beans yet Well, if you don't really care about reaching 100% performance you can always use one indeed
  10. Funny thing is that Madoca himself thinks this Monster Truck is one of his worst (and first) creations I assume you mean 2 x 3069b? I've added them, but next time you can also use the 'Submit change' link on the MOC's page. That way me or one of the inventory admins gets notified, and we can fix it immediately We always try to get the inventories of MOCs nailed down 100% acccurate, to prevent ordering mistakes and other sources of frustration
  11. Yeah, for PF elements the Lego Shop is often much cheaper than BrickLink. Very low shipping costs, too. Whenever I order parts in bulk (or large parts that require a package), I first check the LEGO Shop/Lego PAB prices before ordering from BrickLink. I can really recommend having 2 x LiPo, more and more big MOCs are starting to use them instead of regular battery boxes.
  12. You freaking rock afol1969 Can't wait to see the Rebrickable submission
  13. Do you mean the F40 or the F458? The parts list for the F458 is on Rebrickable: http://rebrickable.c...ojj1/red-spider I don't think the F40 has instructions (yet). I ordered my PF lights in bulk from the LEGO Shop, was cheapest by far. Not going for 2 x rechargeable LiPo (or is that what you mean by battery box)? I bought another one just for this MOC But then it turned out sheo's Terex, Madoca's Tatra also require two.
  14. Hah Majkl, exactly the same here. Most of these Bionicle/Hero Factory parts are gathering dust here.
  15. Luca has finished his new beauty: http://rebrickable.c...oPC/mclaren-m23! Instructions available on mocplans.com, per usual.
  16. I still have to build that Ferrari in black with 'leather' (read: tan) upholstery. I have all the parts needed, just need the time ...
  17. That truck doesn't have instructions, unfortunately, or else I would have uploaded it to Rebrickable a long time I love the looks of it. One Eurobricks member was trying to reverse-engineer it, I'm sure you'll come across the topic if you search for it.
  18. I see some duplication but that's not a big deal
  19. AFAIK NK never made instructions for it because he couldn't get the model working reliably. I think Technic is too limited for models of such enormous complexity.
  20. Over at Rebrickable we will soon be coming with a long interview with Madoca as well :)
  21. Here's the Rebrickable parts list for the Monster Truck: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/Madoca1977/monster-truck It should be accurate now, I've had some updates from someone else who was building it.
  22. Someone ban Jim for quoting large images But yeah, that image is excellent. Definitely top 3 quality here.
