  1. Ah, good catch. You know, the original truck is simply ugly, TLG is not to blame here
  2. The side view really shows the tyres are too small. Would be awesome if we could get some bigger tyres for the final version, but I doubt it.
  3. I'm curious how the 'tip' of the boom is constructed, it looks a bit odd. Several new pieces involved? This looks like an impressive set, a worthy successor to 8110. The cab is quite ugly though, but that has been pointed out already.
  4. Awesome! Put it on Rebrickable, lots of people would love to build this!
  5. You mean a pipe layer? Not flashy enough, I think. Still, could be a quite interesting model. BTW, specially for davidmull: only four days left till we get decent pics and videos of the 2H wave.
  6. LEGO should release all its sets in the form of quark plasmas.
  7. TLG should supply the string as loose strands, so you have to assemble the strings yourself. Now that's hardcore LEGO building!
  8. You beat me to posting the link Have fun building it!
  9. I would prefer dual wheels but I can totally understand if TLG goes for single wheels due to cost restrictions (all that extra weight and rubber can't be cheap?). Easy enough to add them yourself afterwards.
  10. Source? I was told that they're the same old cylinders. Would be (very) glad to be proven wrong.
  11. Inventories for the 1H Technic sets are now all up at Rebrickable, for those wanting to build them using their collection.
  12. About 60 cm. Weighs about 6 kg, including 18 AA batteries.
  13. It dwarfs both. It's the biggest MOC I've ever built, by far. Heavy, too.
  14. Anything by Madoca, Jeroen Ottens, Designer-Han, Crowkillers, Sheepo and Dikke Klijn. Just a step above the rest IMO.
  15. Gorgeous. I wonder if any entry can top this beauty. Hopefully you'll create instructions!
  16. A one-way tipper would indeed be way too simple mechanically. I prefer my flagship sets to be complex.
  17. And it's heavy. Don't even think about cheaping out on the hard yellow springs!
  18. Up on Rebrickable: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/MrTekneex/flatbed-tow-truck-42009-c-model Great job on the C-model once again, MrTekneex!
  19. Yeah it's taking a while, but then again, the model is so bloody big Working on the final steps for the cab now.
  20. The bit about new parts in that thread sounds like a bunch of nonsense if you ask me.
  21. Heh Han, I will join you in dreaming about it! I can only imagine what kickass MOCs you would be able to create with such parts
  22. I love the creativity you showcase in all your builds, Zblj. Keep up the good work.
