I like the massive, yet subtle look on the MOC. It looks really realistic and shows us that less is sometimes more. Stunning. Special kudos to all the nice minifig scenes. What would LEGO be without the yellow little fellows, eh? :)

That's an impressive collection with a lot of creative and very clever building techniques used. That rockwork is just marvelous. Does it hold tight? My favourite is "Noisy Neighbours". Had a good laugh when looking at the scene. :)

This is absolutely lovely. I second the comment about consistent style throughout the whole MOC. Very realistic look. I love all the detail shots of the minifigs. Every single one is telling a story, which really fills the place with life.

I've been using this technique also after seeing it somewhere else (can't remember where). To me it's the best way to build cherry blossoms. I think this kind of tree is even cheaper than using leaf plates. The parts (stem pieces and petals) are pretty much always available in a PAB wall at my local LEGO store and that is pretty much all you need. If you fill a large cup of stems and petals you easily have enough to build 10-20 of these trees (excluding the parts for the trunk of course). You can easily fill hundreds of of every part into a large PAB cup.

And again another masterpiece from you. This one is easily my most favourite. This is just perfect. The colors, the architecture, the scenery. Lovely, just lovely.

Hi all, I have an ongoing problem which I did not manage to solve yet when it comes to displaying assembled model callouts in LPub. If my view is rotated with a rotation step and I use the function "Show assembled model on parent page" for a submodel, I sometimes recive a callout where the submodel is in a weird rotation. An example is shown here: http://kawano.de/LEGO/stuff/lpub_rotated_callout.png Anyone had the same problem yet and found out why this is happening? Any help is highly appreciated.

Now that's some crazy architecture right there. I like it alot. Reminds me alot of the bank of china tower in HK.

Interesting color combination which surprisingly works very well together! Nice building.

The outside of the building is very impressive. Looks like every brick is exactly where it should be. Great stuff!

Hah! This is what I usually do with wall panels at a PAB wall to squeeze more parts (usually tiles) in. Never thought of using it within a MOC like this. Great idea. :)

Again there is some cray SNOTing going on on your facade. I also like how you incorporated the easter scene. I aswell caught myself a few times thinking about enlarging the scene the complete modular. Overall this is again some great work! :)

Yeah the 1x1 brick with stud on one side are hitting LEGO stores in Germany as well. Last friday I finally managed to go to the LEGO store in Berlin which has twice as many bins as the one here in Hamburg. Another example that you don't need mayn colors to create a nice looking facade. This one sold me immediately. My favourite part is the shop interior because to me it's the perfect match between colorful "classic" LEGO and realistic Creator-like modular building style. :)
-
I like the realistic look on this one. Even though you used pretty much only one color for the upper floor facade, it looks very nice because of the clean execution. The interior is also very charming. :)
-
Great idea. Perfectly executed. You managed to catch the athmosphere just perfect. There is some interesting SNOTing going on on the hull. I like how you used the masonry bricks for the hull to create a feeling of wooden planks with foliage on it. Neat!
-
The construction looks so simple but yet this is the most amazing part of it. It looks like something everyone could built, but only a few or maybe no one could think of it. Absolutely amazing.
-
This is great. I love the detail, especially the windows are very well made!

Again thank you everyone for the kind words! For everyone who might be interested, both buildings are now available at rebrickable and building instructions are also available for purchase: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/peedeejay/modular-bakery http://rebrickable.com/mocs/peedeejay/modular-fishmonger Planning to! Currently finishing building instructions for my townhouse and then I'll start something new. :)

Thanks for sharing from me as well. I also think that the MOC is simply stunning in every aspect. Maybe some day... :)
