The Royal Society of Natural Philosophy is pleased to announce the opening of a Botany House in Mooreton Bay, Alicentia. To advance the study of the flora of the New World, The Society has managed to engage the services of renowned Corlander Botanist, Sir Jonah Banks. Banks has set up his quarters in Botany House, a building in Mooreton bay built specially by the society for the study of Botany. Located roughly in the centre of the settlement, the land adjacent to the building has been set aside for future Botanic Gardens - a planned green oasis in the middle of a bustling town! Here Major Dirk Allcock can be see discussing some recent discoveries with Sir Jonah. Meanwhile the society employs a local boy by the name of Billy for gardening. Licensed as a medium educational property in the name of the Royal Society of Natural Philosophy in Mooreton Bay. Hi Everybody. A long promised build for the Royal Society. Not a particularly interesting build, but I wanted to try something larger scale in dark tan bricks. I hope to have something slightly more exciting up early next week for the Society (but in a different location - Capt Wolf, looking at you!).

[FB - COR] Those smelly pig farmers... oh, bacon!
Ayrlego replied to SilentWolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A very nice addition to Mooreton Bay SilentWolf, thank you! The SNOT walls on the cabin look great and I know are really hard to do - I can relate to your concerns with stability! The roof looks really good as well. One detail that really catches my eye is the pig wallowing in the dark brown mud - fantastic detail! -

An impressive collection of islanders Faladrin, with the usual impressive headgear! The rock work and vegetation is very well done, I especially like the SNOT brown layer on the top of the grey rocks. -
[COR-MRCA] Magnificient Trade at Nova Terreli
Ayrlego replied to Brickwolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Agreed, the pickpocket is a nice touch! I like the way the merchants are seemingly throwing their money at you, it indeed looks like good trading! -
Great story Captain Braunsfeld, the plot thickens! That is a nice looking ship, I don't think I've seen it before.

A really lovely ship. The effort put into the sails and rigging really compliments the great hull design and colour scheme. All over a beautiful addition to your fleet.

Wow those stairs! I will definitely be attempting that technique, it looks fantastic! I like the contrast between the dark brown floor and reddish brown walls - makes for an elegant wooden feel.

Nice looking fort and troops! The blue legs look quite nice with the redcoat torso. That bridge is great and the landscaping looks as though it is coming along nicely.

[COR - FB] Preservation of Food, Sm Artisan
Ayrlego replied to SilentWolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great concept and very well executed! I like all the small details you've put in such as the canning process and furniture. The clean looking exterior is also well done and the addition of the basement is very clever. Good job! -
Brilliant! I really like the description of the process and the build to go with it is great as usual! Details that really stood out for me are: the way you've overhung the roof and supported with wooden columns; the way the dark tan ground steps down the level and the 'stinky blue muck' draining into the bottom level. Great build and accompanying information. You MCTC members are really killing the all aspects of the textile industry!

Great lighthouse Puvel! I like the colour scheme and the yellow highlights really take it to the next level, they work really well IMO. The sloping shape on the bottom level is superb and something I am very likely to 'borrow' in the future. Great job!

Great entries everyone! For a challenge I wasn't really into at first, I ended up really enjoying this one. Thanks to my Corrington team mates who prompted me to actually build something!!!! A question about the claiming the new islands. In the rules Ska stated: So by that reckoning I should get to pick one for Corrington as a result of winning Cat A, and the faction then picks two for coming third. But in the results Garmadon states Oleon gets to pick three islands and the rest two each. Have I misunderstood something here? Thanks in advance!

[COR vs CAR II] "Her Majesty's Melodious Musings"
Ayrlego replied to Captain Dee's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I somehow missed part two when you posted, good job you bumped the thread! Excellent story, very well written and it gives insight into the going ons of the Royal court. I look forward to seeing those Sovereign class first rates! -
Just over a year ago I posted my original dark green themed Lenfald army in this thread here. Since then it has grown considerably and today I finally got around photographing it. Enjoy! Huscarls and Highlanders. Whether from the feudal or clan systems, these men are no farmers, they are the professional warriors of Lenfald and the backbone of any army. (38 heavy infantry/cavalry) Shock Infantry. The tallest, strongest and most heavily armoured of the infantry, these elite warriors specialise in breaking enemy shield-walls. (16 very heavy infantry) Regular Militia. The militia or fyrd of Lenfald make up the bulk of any army. Equipment and training varies from region to region and the men only serve part time or in times of need. (25 medium infantry) Pike Militia. These men are killers of cavalry, armed with a pike twice the height of a man and a kettle helm. They are usually formed from the militia or fyrd and given extra training for their specialised role. (34 pike infantry) Irregulars. Rangers, Scout Snipers and Woodsmen, the forests of Lenfald can be a dangerous place for enemies of the state. Usually armed with the longbow the country is famous for, these men and women, when shielded by heavy infantry, give a Lenfel army a hefty long range punch. Also commonly used as scouts.(21 Irregulars) Knights. Somewhat atypical of Lenfel cavalry, these heavily armed and armoured Knights form a mobile iron fist on the battlefield. (14 very heavy cavalry) Total Army Size: 148 troops. (Note: no figure or weapon/part has been used twice! The whole army can be assembled together if required!

[ESL-3T2] Sloop El Gran Grin
Ayrlego replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
*Logs on, checks new posts thinks "oh look a ship by CGH - this is going to be awesome!" Yep, sure is! Another great ship CGH, the tiles as planking have worked out really well and as usual everything else is simply superb! The colour scheme is especially pleasing on the eye. Hope you can licence this excellent creation soon - she is a beauty! -

I have some questions I was hoping someone could help with regarding a settlement's trade value. Mainly, how is it calculated? I get the part about how builds add value as shown in this table: Is there anything more? I vaguely remember something about a multiplier but can't find anything??? For example the settlement of Mooreton Bay currently has: 4 MOCs unlicensed and not comparable = 8 points 4 Small licensed properties = 20 points 3 Medium licensed properties = 30 points So is the total of 58 points the total trade value? Also it was mentioned a while ago these values are now automatically calculated (except for the unlicensed). Is there somewhere we can see these values to check? Thanks!

Freddie the fisherman launches his small boat every morning before the sun rises. Today he has been particularly lucky, although the shark was a big of a struggle! His stall can be found on one of the beaches adjoining the harbour and is popular with the citizens of Mooreton Bay as he only sells the highest quality fresh fish. A quick build to try out some different roofing techniques and a revised palm tree design (for me). Licensed as a small commerce, Mooreton Bay, Alicentia. As usual C & C welcome!

[COR-FB] ETTC Warehouse in King's Harbour

Brilliant warehouse Bregir! The brown and dark red work very well together and all the arches are especially nice. I also like the way you've used the mini-fig bases for the roof. Great job! -
[COR - Jul FB2] ETTC Warehouse and Offices, Mooreton Bay
Ayrlego replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you everyone for the comments! I wouldn't worry about anything, those cannon carriages are destined for King's Harbour for the pirate patrols! Yeah these ones are the medium dark flesh. I ordered dark tan as I think that colour is more versatile for future builds, and I need a decent amount for our project we are discussing via the PM thread! The cow is the Jersey cow from Brickforge. They do a number of different colours/patterns.- 12 replies
