What's this about a bonus polybag? How do you get that?
-
Totally agree on this one. Minor modding to make it fit into ones town is ok. But the work DO and PC need to fit my town is a bit much.
-
I think it looks very good, especially the facade, which is what I care most about. I think Lego are making small versions that kinda work on their own, but would look better if you buy 2 sets and expand it... This one certainly needs another story to fulfill it's potential, so it is nice that they made it in an affordable color for bricklinking. The one thing I don't see myself liking is the shield floor. It just looks messy, especially with those colors combined.

Okay, I see from your flikr account that you are no beginner i this game. That explains how you are able to make such a good first modular building. I also bow in the awesomeness of your batmobile, sire.

I am working on my first modular building as well. Stop pushing the bar! When that is said I have to congratulate you with a good job. Especially the tiles in front of the entrance and the canvas feel of the ground floor. Nice use of the door rail plate. I have also been playing around with the look they give when placed that direction, but I don't have many in the same color. I also like how you made the columns work for you, giving you more space for the upper levels, without imposing to much on street level.

Great lamps and furniture in general. And so much chrome everywhere :D It looks a little empty in the front. How about adding a drawing desk and consultation area for the last corner?

I love one story diners, but because the entrance (very nice) looks like a classic building I agree that a second floor in this case may make it look even better.

I appreciate alternate modular builds like this, especially when no extra bricks have been used. It is extremely challenging to stick to the set pieces, and not fall for the temptation to dive into other parts. I never liked the simpsons sets, since I feel the scale is off in comparison to modulars, but builds like these softens me up. Good job :)

Wow! Incredible how much you fitted into that building. The Lounge chairs, swiwel chairs are brilliant. My favorites so far, although it will take several views to soak it all in.

At what point is a brick too damaged or dirty to keep?
Sir Stig replied to legoman19892's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I actually prefer damaged pieces when I make buildings. I think it makes them look more realistic. As long as they are functional that is. I had to put two 1x1 rounds that refused to grip into my damaged box just today. I'll always find a use for them somewhere down the line. -
Looks very promising. Have you tried extensive use of windows for the part above the gate? Making it about level with the rest of the floor with a flat roof. That could emphasize and distinguish the later addition. You could have it as the cafeteria and dayroom/visiting room. I also believe you can make better use of the space. For instance running the corridor along the back would give you a much bigger office than you currently have. Perhaps this could be the examination/surgery room. Given that you want to keep it a size that could be a set, you have to weigh what capacity it should have. Do you plan on having major surgeries you also need a post operative ward.

Blacktron Mafia: Conclusion, Tranquility
Sir Stig replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yeah, I noticed those. It scared the carrotjuice out of my intestines. Yeah, how did the mechanics of the Back Up role work? The first executed NA kill that were sent, or did he get a choice out of the roles that got lynched? Killed at night? lynch and night? I was thinking about claiming town blocker, but was unsure if Lind got information about all the roles that died. And the first to die that nightfase was Lady K, the town blocker... Ehm... 5/19 is closer to one forth than a third. Just sayin' Did I say that? I thought I said Laura Starbucks (Tariq J). I mentioned Vasquez later since she was the code holder that got killed. (Are you paying attention Hinck?) I may have mixed them together at some point. Confusing isn't it?Anyway realize I forgot another part of the code, It should be 3+19 and (100 divided by the number of scum in the game). And then another person would be told to add these together. And the answer is ......wait for it....- 155 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Conclusion, Tranquility
Sir Stig replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yay! 10 fly figures! Is the intro a hint at the next mafia you will host? First I want to thank Dannylonglegs and JackJonesPaw for a brilliant game. It's been a nervewrecking blast. Dave told me to "play this as town. Be active, don’t overreact, consult us when not sure, have fun!!!!". So I played as a noob townie. I did realize as the game went on that a lot of the noobishness were truer than I had measured myself up to be. The story have been fun and the pictures and SFXs superb. I loved the uniform design of all the conference rooms Heheh, sorry for dragging you down that hole . I also think we would have been rooted out and lined up to the gallows, given the town had gotten a day, or tops two more. Thanks for showing me the ropes It wish I could visit a parallel dimension to read how it would have gone if I had been killed that night. Since I would have been revealed as scum it would probably have been dismissed. But I think Hinckley would have lost his mind.Nothing personal There was supposed to be meaning to the code, but I'll admit I totally lost track of it myself. It worked better than I could ever hope for as a distraction though. It also had a major flaw incriminating CMP and TPRU. Sorry guys, luckily we got a quick end. But also because we are awesome. I apologize for digging your grave Tariq J, but that's what happens when you claim to scum. Yeeees.... kill dave. kill dave. kill dave. not me.- 155 replies

Beats me. I only copied the date and time from PMs and date of time from the day end post. And this post I quoted you and accidentale deleted the quote marks, so I had to manually write quote.- 194 replies

I don’t know anymore, I’ve done enough damage. I have to get in bed now, so I will have to trust that Mingas advice puts the town in a better position tomorrow. Vote: Bock Pathos (Bob) Also: Is it so hard to put your whole name in the signature, Bock Pathos? It is so much harder to find your posts. Somehow I struggle to find Rips posts also, even though he has his full name there?- 331 replies

Blacktron Mafia: Day 3, Spaceship Soldiers
Sir Stig replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I've never said I was not suspicious of 4 of 2. You are reading things that are not there. Try to read my above post explaining everything about the code. Where did you get 2 identical codes from? The tracker is dead. Why did I bring up Vasquez? Yeah, you are right. 4 of 2 only knew Bock and you had the code. I did not think that one through.I come with no absolutes, but I have to bring up valid questions, when I think of them. I am not working as quickly to draw conclusions, and I try to work by deduction. If I come up with questions that are not fully developed, feel free to point it out, like you just did. I think It is better if I don't try so hard. Well then my top suspects are: I don't have a clue.- 331 replies

This is just.. I don't know if it inspires me or make me want to melt all my Lego. The skills and your eye for details as well as for the whole picture is just incredible. The mix of natural forms and this modern design is exquisite. I stand by my earlier suggestion. The Lego Group need to hire you, ASAP.

Blacktron Mafia: Day 3, Spaceship Soldiers
Sir Stig replied to Dannylonglegs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Ok, I will try to get everything. Because I did not trust Clementine (for obvious reasons), nor Laura (read the PMs between us that I posted earlier today, spacetime). If I was killed it would have been a big chance that one or both of them were scum. They needed to be checked out, but at the time it was total chaos, a lot of people that barely posted. I was ambiguous about the whole issue, but had no one I felt I could trust. I bluffed Clementine saying I had discussed this with one other person because I thought it would make it less likely that he or his team would kill me. Seamus have posted the PMs between him and me. This was his suggestion: How could these connect only if I die? If I was unlucky and gave the code to two scum I would have given them the tracker (Laura) and Clem that a had a tracker report that said he stayed home the first night (likely true considering we now know Laura was town). This does not prove Clem to be town however, but it matches with his claim of the back up role. If I gave one of the codes to a scum they could lie about their part, ending up with getting another townie killed at the cost of putting themselves and the other townie under suspicion. So I tried to make a code that would be hard to keep hidden. Keep in mind that this was in case I got killed, because that was the scenario where they would be compromised, if it was a scum play. Since I did not die, why the eagerness of getting it out in the open and revealing the ones that would be more inclined to be town? Here is the full code: Seamus got +2, nothing more. This is because he brings things up no matter what side he is on. Although I am now of the opinion that he makes up his mind (consciously or subconsciously) first and then tries to pick things apart to force things to fit his predetermined opinion. Vasques got 1 and 17, nothing more. Bock got confirmation page, order of signing in posts. This was the initial code. I sent reminder posts to: Nathan informing him that Seamus and Vasques got the code. 4 of 2 informing her that Seamus and Bock got the code. Diamond Dodd informing him that Bock and Vasques got the code. Later I realised I had not specified which number was the tracker and which one the tracker result was about. So I informed: 4 of 2 that the highest number was the tracker. Nathan that the lowest number was for X. This would make 1 and 17, +2 = 3 and 19 on the confirmation page signing in order. Lowest number is Clementine (X, fomrely known as the make up artist, not to be confused with costume designer) and Laura (tracker). I admit in hindsight that it was to complicated. Or not complicated enough, since it would not have worked if Seamus, Vasques or Bock got killed. Let me reason a bit here: Neither of the initial codeholders knew who the other was, before 4 of 2 informed Seamus and Bock about the code. Vasques got killed. Which brings up an important question. 4 of 2: at what time did you inform them of the code? Was it Day 2 or Day 3? I don't know where my mind was in the PMs with Clementine. When I realized I had messed up the roles, I still somehow thought Clementine said the same person contacted him. I can only blame this on brain dysfunction because of information overload. The similarities of the flattering PMs we both received mislead me, and I was wondering why would the tracker inform Clementine about a result that although it matches with her claimed role, does not prove him town. Going back and reading the PMs between me and Clementine I see that this is where my confusion started. I should have informed in public that I had been contacted by someone saying they had a tracker result showing Clem staying at home. However this was not so clear to me at the time, and I had a strong scumread on Laura at the time. Although the code went obsolete it has had some other unexpected results. It was not clear that the tracker was dead at the start of the day. Seamus and Minga in particular have been very eager to get the identities of these, even though I wasn't killed. It also compromises Bock and or Seamus since 4 of 2 informed both of them who had the code. I hope 4 of 2 can give us an honest answer. If it was before the night actions, either of them could have informed their team and/or killed Vasques to prevent the code from... Implicating someone. Quite possibly Clementine. But since I am alive and could share that... discredit me and get me lynched. My top suspects at this time: Seamus Clementine Bock?- 331 replies
