Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Sir Stig replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Or something like this: http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x41/Derwenz/555Inc.jpg -
You just made this much better. As a child I remember carousels with different ride-ons. Gives room for choice and the personality of a child. I like it a lot. Can't wait to see your and your daughters amusement park.

Wow! Such wonderful first MOC. Lots impressed! edit: Sorry, could not resist the doge. But honestly, this MOC is so good that it justifies it. So many details, and overall brilliant design, visually and conceptwise. Is it a sleeping couch underneath the stairs? Marvelous. I am flabbergasted! :D

Nice Downtown building. I think it would be perfect as an office building or a bank as well. Agreed on the lab floor.

Very good. I've been working on a brewery myself, but I struggled with the complexity of the brewing plant. You managed to keep it tidy and interesting within a small space without sacrificing to much of the process. I raise my glass and cheer for that :) I see why you want the glass facade to show of the interior, and think it works fine. Although I personally prefer the look of old buildings, this is very well done and realistic modernized building.
-
You have to make the interior. Please? This build may possibly IMHO be your best build so far (and you have a lot of very good ones). I am considering how I could make it in ldd, just because I want to see how it looks with interior and a few scenes (paperboy filling up his cart/bike in the back of the building, or in the front selling papers, paper mill scene, author delivering his long-awaited second novel, etc.).

I like this a lot. I think it would fit as a shoemaker or printing press/Book-or-news-agency.

Ragnarök Now 3: Confirmation and Discussion

Thank you Dragonfire. Seems like there are a whole lot more to Mafia than I thought... -
Ragnarök Now 3: Confirmation and Discussion
Sir Stig replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I get a little confused, when trying to follow the debate and shaping my own theories, because I don't fully understand the concept of every role. Is there a thread that explains the mechanics of the different roles? (Serial Killer, Vigilante, Traitor, Cop, etc). -
[MOC] Summer girls : brick build figures in moodland scale
Sir Stig replied to BaronSat's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Oh, hello there ;) Nice curves -
Good and subtle details that makes a great building. A sign (some kind of meat/poultry/sausages?) and/or letters would have been nice. Couldn't help noticing the facade has the perfect number of 2x2 for the letters: B U T C H E R. I am curious about the interior. Seems like a tight squeeze with the bathroom+stairs up and down placement.

School Theme would be nice. Preschool for Duplo. And for Lego: Small School set for kids Junior High/High School for Friends University for Modulars :D This way every age class gets a school. Nice if they could make all sets in a way that makes it fairly easy to make them into modulars ;)

Ragnarök Now 3: Confirmation and Discussion

I must say, very entertaining and well made conclusion of day one. I am following the course of this game, trying to remember how it goes. -
gazumpty: Well spotted on the sign. I agree that it has potential to be better, even if it looks good as it is. It looks very good so far and I particularly like the timeless look of it. However, I keep trying to imagine it with tan/brown/green/black windowframes. Is it shadow or tan on one half of the ground floor? As to adding a 3rd level, I am trying to imagine only the center, maybe 1 story, maybe half circle roof, maybe wide angle roof. Thank you for posting WIP. For me Lego is all about the process. Clearly you are a skilled builder, but I would appreciate it either way. It takes a bit of courage to show your work before you are done and satisfied with something. However, I believe others input may help open new paths to your creativity. I might dare posting some WIPs myself someday.

As to personal favorites it is (so far. It takes a little time to soak it all in);Rooms: Laundry ;individual items: night stand in the bedroom and the Boombox in home gym.

Ragnarök Now 3: The Heart of Darkness - Sign Ups
Sir Stig replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I have a lot of things coming up in the next couple of months, so I dont' think I will be able to participate every day. If I didn't I would have signed up for sure. 1. No, but I played quite a few rounds of mafia in high school and a quick read through one mafia school thread it seems like the setup has not changed much. 2. If there is room for (maybe) some inactivity 15-21 july, I can join. Edit: On second thought I think it will be better if I sit this one out, but I will watch from the sideline to get the hang of the ropes. -
My first post as a 40 year old Modular/MOC newbie!
Sir Stig replied to craigslegostuff's topic in Hello! My name is...
Welcome, Craig and let me introduce myself at the same time. I am Stig, I have followed this forum for a little while but have not been an active member, since I didn't have any Lego yet, (my parents gave them away while I learned the streets as a bartender). I got so inspired by all the marvelous MOC's here that they woke me up from the slumbering dark ages and I had to go and buy myself a madular. The Palace Cinema. After building that I knew that I had to get me some modular sets. I bought bulk bricks and partial sets from someone dumping a whole lot from their kids collections (lucky kids). The fraction of their collection I got was about 21-24 kilos with a lot of good pieces (but unfortunately almost no decent windows for modular buildings). I have made 2 test MOC, and after making one I am very happy with I have decided to post my pictures here. Will come as soon as I understand how to photograph black bricks and find the cable for the camera. I can't wait to see your creations.- 15 replies

Very nice indeed. I think your MOC lifts the pet shop buildings up a level when placed like that. Thumbs up.
-
Okay that's it. I'm officially awoken from my dark ages. Stunning. Your eye for details are inspiring. I have to click something together now.

OOoooohhhh.. very nice.

This is the first I've seen that I would buy 4 or more. I have to step up my game, If my mocs should remotely hold up. The old city area of my future town will be inspired by this. Actually, Snaillad, can I ask if you would be willing to sell instrutions for this MOC of yours, and a bricklist? Just the buildings is enough. I see it may be a lot more work with the market. Edit: Studied the market more. I like the solution with the base. It opens up for scenes with roadwork etc. I decided right now that I will make my city on plates like this instead of the regular baseplates. So what if It gives me less flexibility, but It looks so much more alive like a real city. I want this, and I want it now*. I love it. I love it so baaaad!* (*song references).

It could be a scene from any european country. I've been admiring old building my whole life, and you nailed several different styles. I don't have words good enough to describe it, but I am flabbergasted. Those building would be the first ones I buy if they were available, as modulars or open back. Submit to ideas and you have my vote instantly.

This! This is the sort of building that makes me want to spend all my money on bricks. The exterior is possibly the best I've ever seen.
