  1. "joined 12-june 11"I once got grade 0+ on a math test. I overstretched trying to skip a year, but I knew enough to know that 0+ is the same as 0, so the + was only adding insult to injury. I told the professor and quit class at that moment. He acknowledged that it should be at least 1- (old grading system from 0 to 6) and even offered to tutor me extra to pass (he didn't know I tried to skip a year before I approached him). 2 was the passing grade, but I realized I had to take the first year to get the prerequisites to understand the matter. ;)
  2. I dont get what the hype about the trans red is. It's hideous. Collectors....pfftt... The good ones, IMO: white, the blue ones, the green, the black. And, well the red one, but everyone has at least one red bike, so it gets a bit boring.
  3. Yaeh, and possibly wow. How much younger, if I may ask? Because that's a good start, and already way better than the limo from Palace Cinema. First off, change the seats to leather brown or something. Add chrome or grey parts. I am looking forward to see Mach2 of this. one.
  4. I have a forum function question. Is there an easy way to view (from http://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Commonly_Used_Abbreviations)?: Iso (or ISO): Isolation. Usually refers to reading a player's posts in isolation. You can view one person's posts "in Isolation" by using the "Display posts from previous" drop down boxes at the bottom of every page. This is how you do it on mafiascum.net. The only way I have found so far on EB is to enter a persons profile and look at posts, but it is untidy, in reverse and posts in other threads also appear.
  5. Ah, I thought you meant my post appealed to emotion. No wonder I did not understand your reasoning. My fault. Thank you for the link Lindwhisperer (AtE) ;)
  6. Appeal to Emotion. If you're searching for a Mafia term, search for __(Term)___ mafiascum. From your link: An appeal to emotion is a particularly devious sort of fallacious argument, particularly in a game of unknowns such as Mafia. "If you lynch me, you'll lose!" is an easy example, but there are many others, played by both/all Factions in most games at some point. The nature of the game lends itself to appeals to fear or hope or trust. What?! I am the "someone said above, him being scum would surely be foul play". She simply phrased it better than me. I just don't see your point here. If I may reuse Hinckleys expression (used towards me): selective read much mate?
  7. I think it has a good size as it is. If the building was more narrow it would look strange in that height. You could always place another 1-3 wide alley adjacent to the alley side, making it a 4-6 wide alley.
  8. Thank you Minga, that was exactly what I meant (although I am not familiar with the term AtE and google search only gives me food related answers). Well, I thought I had a good grip of Mafia before I joined up, but it's a whole other experience when you play it the first time vs just watching. So things that are obvious for experienced players, are not intuitively obvious for me until an explanation that the obvious have been tried and the reason why it did not work good enough (see earlier posts, like for example the one I wondered why a no lynch wouldn't be better according to the odds (I must admit I did not remember that everyone has to put a vote or get penalized)). I felt smart for a moment when I suggested the no lynch on day 1 :/ but I appreciate the helpful advice I got in response. And I'm not the only new player here. I accidentally deleted the name and link to Mingas post, but it's not that far back.
  9. Heheh, didn't think about majority, just got used to seeing a number while watching Ragnarok 3.
  10. Dannylonglegs: It would be helpful to know how many votes are required for a lynch.
  11. Major Dave: Psst, you are standing upside down. And a friendly advice, don't forget about personal hygiene. You may want to consider washing at least your feet Vote: Clementine Lister (Lind Whisperer) I agree with Chromeknight on this one. It is strange to come up with such a detailed combined accusation right of the bat, and this worries me more than the Doctor Wen situation. I feel Doctor Wen is a distraction, although the panic and upset pinged a lot. But when he went overboard and wanting to quit, I was thinking he may not be scum. If he is it is very foul play, and he should not only be lynched, but sent into space without life support. I suggest lynching Clementine and block/investigate Doctor Wen.
  12. Yeah, it is a bit hard to catch up on everything from GMT+1 timezone. Hard to keep a track of every back and forth and follow the discussion in the few hours I have available before I fall asleep. I tried to look close at every post, and notice loose threads. Your points in post #29 are good. I see posts that I don't remember reading that I just read recently. I blame it on my lack of depth perception. Hmm.. It will be harder to bounce ideas when most others are asleep :/
  13. Valid point, that drowned a bit. Fair enough. But why would you not, it's a crazy accusation based out of, I suspect, fear. Alas, the acclaimer is probably town(or trying to look like one). <-String of thought. Still does not mean Seamus could not be Scum and/or godfather, unless it's the trying to look townie part, whereas it's the other way around. My head is spinning on day 1. :P Very easily joked away and left for dead. It may be down to playstyle, but it's somewhat bothersome. Because you are regarded as a good player you can just discard suspicions? This. Second ping. Exactly. Right now everyone is guilty, so no one is being wrongly accused. Maybe being accused on the wrong basis, but accusations are like 20 a dozen. To many to make a decent omelette. But it's fun smashing them. Both the eggs and accusations. Or he is the godfather himself and trying to defend someone else being accused of being the godfather, since he knows he will turn up town. Oh my, I think I have played to much paranoia... or have I? Why would anyone claim to Scum? Also I think Minga presses on a little hard without much to go on, so that makes me suspicious of her as well, despite her pretty makeup.
  14. Hey, whatever gets the ladies. Or men ;) (Still in character, but also: Hey, we're all just people beings. Love is all around us, it's everywhere we travel. It's nice. Let it be etc.) So: It may take out scum or does not help remove unhelpful or distracting townies? If so, no lynch is clearly better. (Did you mean Does help with taking out unhelpful or distracting townies?). Let those who have PR use them, seems like the better option to me. My calculation and analyse leans towards observing first. Hey, who doesn't like to watch? But I see your point in provoking a lynch against someone, see how they and others react, and analysing the votes to use as evidence later. Thanks for describing, since no lynch seemed like the obvious choice for me right away. So the question is not to lynch or not to lynch, but whoooooo should we lynch first?
  15. I have to agree on you on this one, on the same basis that I am a male feminist. Treat people with respect. That's it. Hmm... since when did I become the moral police... Oh well. Sometimes a little citizen arrest is the way to go. I always treat my women with respect. All of them. Sometimes simultaneously. And men if I ever feel for it. I just realized I am not familiar with form 974b-1 (mulitquoting on the forum), so I just blurt it out like this: I got my first ping at the "I was defending someone" post, although it was modified into something I agree with, or simply just don't understand. Why lynch someone the first day? The odds of lynching a townie is bigger the first day, right? Isn't it better to get some information/evidence and get the town block at least a little bit together before the lynching starts? Like if someone got a pointy hat, or a wart, or floats on water, or smells funny or something... How on earth, excuse me, in space, is it possible to find someone that deserves lynching on day 1? Seems to me like we are just searching for freudian slippers. http://g01.a.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1.D5RHVXXXXcRXFXXq6xXFXXXj/Hot-Sale-I-Love-MOM-DAD-Lovely-Baby-Girls-Boy-Shoes-Round-Toe-Flats-Soft-Slippers.jpg
  16. Uhm, isn't that an obvious cult movie? Right up there with Lost Highway. Didn't understand on any of them though, but I enjoy the atmosphere and techniques in them. Some of the best movies I've seen leaves the conclusion to the viewer. Not the typical modern american overexplaining way. Like we are all idiots. No offense to idiots, idiots ;)
  17. That would make you a specist? Not cool man....
  18. I always struggle with the top story/floor (and roof). I like how you made it stand apart from the second story/1st floor by altering the windows. I may have to ask for instructions and bricklink this myself. Idea this when you're satisfied and you have my instavote. Also the front door, instead of stealing place on the inside, it creates place for equipment. Brilliant solutions throughout.
  19. Ah, I did not look to closely at the sidegame description. The thought just suddenly struck me as I looked at my character picture and realised I am indeed a otherwordly monstrous lovebunny. Funny as shit :D
  20. Does my character have a reference to Donnie Darko by any chance?
  21. Zipzop Beetlejuice confirmed. Minga: Do you mind showing me the way to the salad bar, and in return I'll let you nibble on one of my cookies. Doesn,t that sound nice? Heck, I'll throw in the whole plate.
  22. 1) This little piggie went to high school before the intergalactic net was invented ruled mafia in lunch time cameos until he died Again and Again and Agaaaain! 2) Yes, sir! Prepare ship-- Prepare ship for ludicrous speed! Fasten all seat belts, seal all entrances and exits, close all shops in the mall! Cancel the three ring circus! Secure all animals in the zoo-- 3) Paranoia RPG, Neuromancer, UFO - Enemy Unknown, Fallout 3+New Vegas, any low budget Australian daytime sci fi series for youths... Favorite Sci Fi characters: Tex Murphy, Spider Jerusalem, Hector Sevadac (off on a comet), generally antiheroes. 4) as 42 5) ...No, you didn't.... To clarify point 1, I have not played mafia on the forum, and not familiar with the BB-code or what you call it. I only know how the concept works, and have followed Ragnarok 3 throughout.
  23. Very nice. You've captured the look expertly.
  24. Thug life. Cause I'm .....sharp?
