Speed Car
MajklSpajkl replied to Charbel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I agree with Doc on the video, very dynamic and energetic! I love the music, what is it? Although, I think you went a bit too far with the blur effect, there are only a few shots where the car is clearly visible so it was a bit hard to watch. I'm also guessing that you didn't use the usual family video camera for 200$ to get such great effect, or did you and it is all about post processing? I like the car also, its low line and big tires for the scale makes it a reall badass :) L motor for drive? I hope to se more videos from you, it really was like an action movie or a car commercial -

I thought so yes. Bionicle is quite a good source of interesting technic sets, never used in technic line. -

And what is that mahjqa??? How is it used and in which model? -
Performs great, those tires sure do stick to the surface, I have the 106 mm ones. I'm guessing yours are 96mm - have youtried to mount them in the groove on both sides of the wheel? How much does it deform?

[TC5] The Dawnbreaker
MajklSpajkl replied to MajklSpajkl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks. The third flex axle is provided in 42026 as an extra part and as far as the info topic suggests, extra parts are allowed. See Jim's answer in post #17 in the contest information topic, pinned on top of this forum. I know, usually those pars are just rubbish, but this flex axle is a real treat. I've used 4 extra parts in total from both sets: the flex axle, two black pins and one half bush. Best regards, miha -
[TC5] Wheeled Excavator
MajklSpajkl replied to TGBDZ's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You know what they say: It ain't over, till the fat lady sings! And this machine is singing a victorious anthem. Well done man, so much function, and looks too, from otherwise not so interesting set. Congratulations! -

Really cool how u made the minifig move, like it is actually controling thic boogie beast. I am amazed how stabile it is while swinging its arms, especially when lifting the tank. Have you tried to walk it in higher positions? Also great video, you'be become quite a director. -
Technic General Discussion

I think rebrickable should be on spot: 9393 and 42027 There is a main part list and extra part list right below it. -
[TC5] The Dawnbreaker
MajklSpajkl replied to MajklSpajkl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank you all for very kind response, it really feels good to build something people like and appreciate I updated the original post with more photos. Victor, I must admit it is a kind of a relief that you don't , others people chances would be soooooo much smaller I really liked the idea that rumpletump implemented in his go-kart model, so given that both sets I chose to alternate provided pull-back and fake engine, I just had to use them. There is a slight problem with the chain and the fake engine though. I have a feeling, that those two eat up quite an ammount of power of the pull-back motor. To be honest, the steering mechanism is just a little bit tweeked steering mechanism from the original 9392. Small changes were made just to fit the "hood" on it, and the whole setup is leaning to the back of the car. That is what generates that huge caster angle, forcing the front tires to drive straight, so the pull-back function is not limited because of steering. I didn't want it to be just a buggy or something general, I think name adds a bit to the model... Thanks grum64, well it actually does sell well, you have to buy 9392 and 42026 , oh and wait for the instructions to be made... Neither am I, but unfortunately one cylinder is all that those two sets provide... I picked that "dragged axle" term from other builders. I think it means a rigid axle, which is tied to the chassis with a hinge, simmilar as the swivel door and by one or a couple of schock absorbers. I hope someone with more knowledge about it will pop out and tell us more about it . -
6. The Dawnbreaker This is an alternative model built from sets 9392 Quad Bike and 42026 Black Champion Racer. Features: - independent front axle suspension, - dragged rear axle suspension, - RWD by a pull-back motor, - chain driven single cylinder fake engine, - automatic return-to-centre steering provided by a super positive caster angle (steering is done by the steering wheel in the cab), - manualy adjustable rear wing, - only stickers from 42026 used. There are 54 pieces remaining out of 343 available (including spare parts). You can read more about The Dawnbreaker in the discussion thread and build it using these.

I think we can add at least 20%, at least here in Slovenia. Pull-back were always around 20€, the motorbike is similar to that moto cross bike which was around 35€ etc... I'm guessing 42039 at least a 100€

Hi! I would like to present you my TC5 competition entry: I named her The Dawnbreaker She's built out of 9392 Quad Bike and 42026 Black Champion Racer. She features independant front axle and dragged rear axle suspension, RWD by a pull-back motor, chain driven single cylinder fake engine, automatic return-to-centre steering provided by a huge caster angle (steering is done by the steering wheel in the cab) and manualy adjustable rear wing. I used all the stickers from 42026, which are the best looking stickers LEGO ever made, and none from 9392. Some more photos... I have a leftover of 54 from 343 pieces including spare parts (13 of those are chain links). I am really satisfied how it turned out and I think there won't be any more changes to it. I hope you like it as much as I do. I thank you in advance for your comment and constructive criticism. Building instructions available on rebrickable.com, enjoy Best regards, Miha

Candy Mine
MajklSpajkl replied to KirTech LAB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Fabulous, It would bring great success in those "vending" machines, where the coolest prizes fall of the claw right at the drop hole :) Really nice looks and performance. Is the turning wheel connected to the turntable by a LEGO chain or in a different way? -
Hey dude, they're black! I'm sorry, I really totaly overlooked previous answers that those small panels are black Yeah those curved 3x11 in DB are great, but without further releases of panels and other pieces in same colour I have no use for them...

HI, I finally managed to watch your video. At first I thought "hey nice chopper" but this trigger handle really boosted my feelings about this one. It adds so much to the playability and makes it simply desirable to swoosh it through the air and make heli noises :))) Really good one, I don't own the set, but if you plan to make instructions, I will certainly try to reproduce it, for my kids, and yes, for me also

Thanks man, this code will come handy many times! Any ideas why there are such restrictions? Bot server fludding or similar hacks maybe?

I have another question, which might not be best put here, but it isalso about this competition: Since there were quite many discusion topics for the TC5 challenge posted, I tried to search the forum for "[TC5]" to see all that has been already built without browsing throuh the last "dozen" of pages of technic forum, but the search engine returns zero results. I chose to search here in this forum, so I don't know what I could be doing wrong. THX for help.
