  1. Well, Milan and Markus are LEGO Technic designers, not actors, so I think they did a good job, I like both their accents and their little bit of stiffness makes this videos even cooler. I mean, do we really want pumped up hyperenergetic guys like those selling us infrared ovens or out-of-this-world sharp knives??? ;-)
  2. Yes, the B-model indeed looks much cooler to me than the A model. But, did I really hear Kossi say that light green colour is exclusive to this set only??? Another downer from my point of view...
  3. The one I've been waiting for the most: It is really fantastic, I love the B model even more! The 42038 is on the top of my to-buy list from 1H2015 sets!
  4. @Jim: Thanks, and a 16t as well! This is a bit of topic, but is it possible to put a link to the contest results thread on each medal. Since I've been on the forum for a couple of months only, many times I would like to know for what other member got their medals so it would make it much easier than to deep search the forum. Also, are there any explanations to all the "stripes" that appear below members avatars? Some have so many like they are almost WWII heroes Thanks again!
  5. You should see my face right now - as happy as a 5 year old kid, getting his first long desired bricks . I never thought I'd ever acomplish something like this, but now you guys made it all happen. I thank all who supported me and all the participants, to make it such an exciting race with so many great models. Thank you Jim and EB for putting up such a great contest. Congratulations to TGBDZ - an undisputed champion without a single doubt and to Doc_Brown: When you posted your buggy, I thought: "There go all my chances." Someone here said, there were so many "boring" buggies that entered - well, I am happy mine was the most "boring" of them all . Thanks again, best regards, miha
  6. Cool vids, I hope they release them for 42038 and 42039 soon. No trace of the 2H models in the background unfortunately...
  7. When did building become a race? I really don't understand why kisper got sick after 6 hours of building. Did he eat something bad? It should never be about who is faster, but who is enjoying himself more. Hell, in most cases I find myself building new sets to fast and regreting it, because I don't take more time to "inhale" all the details and techniques used in those sets.
  8. Altough I am more of a Technic fan, these creations are pure marvel! Category A: #1 #4 Category B: #1 #4 Category C: #4 #3
  9. Man this thing is packed tightly inside - great use of space!
  10. Just you guys wait for the buggy fan club bus to arrive and the votes will be raining down on buggy entries and no crane, plane or chu-chu train will be spared, mwuahahaha, mwuahahahahaha (signed by evil boring buggies creator) Anyhow, leaving evil laughing aside, I think the most deserving creation is in a huge lead and should win, unless there is forementioned bus really on the way
  11. Looks great, was it necessary to gear it down so much, I supposevit is quite heavy, what is the final weight? It is also quite unique, I don't recall seeing something similar built in Technic. Best regards, Miha
  12. To be honest, I don't even recall how tall the previous one was - but this one I like a lot, it looks grat for this time of year!
  13. Democracy is tough! No matter how I decide, I do injuctice to many other great models... _ 9: 10 36: 6 33: 4 21: 3 27: 2 4: 1
  14. It's on old piece yes, but there hasn't been a trans-clear color yet...
  15. I see, well all the highlighted bold specifications are only in inches, no brackests, but there are some in the text, yes. Never mind, this is just a minor detail ;-) I think you got a good platform for new editions of this book, there are extraordinary mocs popping out almost daily :-)
  16. I forgot to ask in my previous post: Are there two different editions of this book, or only the one with imperial measurements of the models. Well, I got mine from book depository - it has all imperial measurements, but in some descriptions of the models there are both systems used (imperial and metric). I guess this is the only thing, that bothers me about this book, since I am not that fond of imperial system and it would be good, if both system were used. Othewise, the quality of the material used feels much better than the in the first Sariels book, especially the covers and binding seem much stronger. As I said - I love it!
  17. @TheItalianBrick: Good idea, although I never thought of that while going through this PEACE OF ART book, that I received yesterday!!! I just love it, it's a true artefact. I really like that there is also a short representation of the builders. Otherwise, both of those Sariel's books are nothing but a total "musthave" for every LEGO Technic fan. Well done Sariel and well done Blakbird!
  18. @Blakbird: I assume your budget includes a nice ol'lady to dust all of these for you ;-) Impressive is way to modest word for your collection...dsmn, i have to find my lower jaw again now...
  19. @Blakbird: It is amazing that your wife even let's you hijack the kitchen table :-) That comparison really speaks for itself! So those MOCS that you build, you keep them as a part of your collection? Or do you reuse the parts for further building?
  20. Wow, you've done it just by slowing down sariels speed build?? You sure must have sharp vision ;-) Red also works great, but orange still much better... How are those EV3 rubber parts performing?
  21. Thank you for the reviews - quite many new partsto collect. I hope i'll manage to get at least 42038. Also 42032 and 42035 are quite convincing. Sadly, the 42039 remains just too fugly in my opinion, especialy the overall shape of the mudguards is really repulsive. Now off to save some money...
  22. Wow, you really got style!!! I love it, it looks so perfect, almost non technic. Great solution for the front suspension, great performance and those chrome parts really add up to looks! I love the red string detail inside the door! Hats off to you! Best regards, miha
  23. It reminds of the Popeye's boat - that chimney especially. It looks really nice, almost like a tug boat. Cheers!
  24. ...and finally, a short video, which was also embedded in the first post and in the entry topic. Time is almost up and tension is rising , feeling like a first grader again Good luck to all!
