  1. Hey man, relax, you're getting way too serious here. I don't know why is it necessary to describe why do you like or don't like something. Do you go digging for every emotion and feeling about the things in life? I guess not. Well I don't really know you, but I think most people look at a thing - MOC in our cas,e and in a blink of an eye, without thinking, decide whether is it good or not. No one is obligated to explain their feelings about anything, not even about your MOC. If it would be that good, that it would suit in the HOF, then this would pop out on itself... Modesty is a nice virtue...
  2. I don't think it will be full RC since there was a full RC last (this)( year - so in 20q5, if the pattern still holds, something big, but with just a motor or two for several functuions, is expected (pattern: 8043 RC, Unimog - PF, 4x4 Crawler RC, 42009 PF, 42030 RC,...)
  3. Those truss cranes (crawler type I presume) are rather boring I guess, lots of same pieces. I guess it depends on the complexity of the base... Anyhow, less suffering for my wallet :-)
  4. Realy nice, kinda 8443s little baby brother ;-)
  5. Fantastic, I wish I had the 8068. Colorscheme is wonderfull and everything fits really well! You sure are a very very strong contestant...
  6. Is it allowed to also add a link to building instructions in the entry topic?
  7. Hi, Looks like a very interesting vehicle, but it is a little hard to see it with all that grass covering it. Can you provide some photos with less invasive background? It would be also nice to see thwt transversally mounted engine...
  8. @matelegotechnic: Where in the contest rules does it say that building instructions are obligatory? It's up to the builder whether he wants to makecthem or not. I think we all (myself included) got a bit spoiled and expect BI for each MOC that someone posts. Try reverse engineering maybe for once, it is not that big model... To get back on topic, the grass cutting function is something new to put on the halftrack, which I like. Seems like someone renewed an old WWII vehicle and make it look friendly :-) The shape of the main vehicle turned out really well.
  9. Heh, I am well aware of the New Holland brand color, my kids are nuts about tractors and we have to watch tractor videos on yt all the time and they're screaming the brands names just by seelng the colour scheme of the vehicles. What I ment to compliment about blue is that is really rare ocasion to see such perfect studless moc in it.
  10. I like it, it looks very calming and I would be nice to stare at this, with some nice music in the back,... I'd fall asleep like a baby
  11. Hi guys and gals! Building instructions are now available on rebrickable.com. Enjoy
  12. Wow, this blue boy looks really great, it is really rare to see a blue MOC. It looks really well pack. I too would really like to se some video, or at least more photos. Congratulations. Best regards!
  13. I've bought several those pieces: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=89651 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=60176 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=64276 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=50923 I ment to use them for custom suspension arms as I saw nicjasno to use them. Haven't touched them for almost two years now :-)
  14. I was just asking, 'cause while I was building mine, I first tried the front axle directly on the main beam leaning downwards quite a bit, thus having a huge negative caster angle and those wheels were going nuts and the inertia from PB was gone really fast. Now with overpositive caster it performs good, but cannot compare to just 42026... Another thing, you should probably try to take away some red from hightones in the new photos. Those on black background turned out much better.
  15. There is a slight difference in appearance, it still looks wicked :-) Did performance improve much with this correction? How much more distance can it cover?
  16. Yes, I understand the effort it takes to make an LDraw file. Has anyone ever tried to make a render out of LDD via LDD to POV-Ray converter? Is it possible that rendering out of MLCad is less demanding for the computer than that from LDD? Are there any threads with a bit of step by step tutorial or something similar for LDD renders and MLCad as well? I'd appreciate it, thx. Oh, and what software do you use, Blakbird?
  17. This one is the mother of all LEGO Technic trucks, at least to me. When I saw Sariels teaser a couple of moths ago and that this one was in it, I preordered imediately. Thanks Blackbird for sharing. I once asked you how long does it take to make such a render and and you said about half an hour If I remeber correctly. I still don't get how do you make'em so quickly. My computer struggled with 800x600 render in pov-ray from LDD for over than 18 hours and I have an i7 processor Must be something in with the pov-ray setings or something... Thanks again!
  18. Cool car with nice functions, but it's hard to say that it is a Ferrari. Perhapse the rear lights resemble it the most.
  19. Instantly recognizable groomer. I like it, Although the set has only two panels, your model doesn't look too "trussy" and is nicely filled on the sides. Good job on the mechanics. The look of the cab is agressive and those two exhaust pipes add more of that to it - I don't think that the pipes look too big as you said.
  20. Thanks. I was wondering, If someone else would pick those two up besides me and here we go, we are racing head to head "for glory and land", until we are crushed by other great models . And I think there are still many more to come as the month is getting to its end. I'd really like to see how that red grader turns out in real bricks! Well, I hope to manage to get together a bit of motion picture until the deadline. Cheers!
  21. I believe the price is already blown up, because the UNIMOG is already out of production...
  22. I like it alot! The line if the car is great. Those panels by the engine make it look low as a rat rod should be. The only thing I think is missing is a radiator on the front, just in behind the lights. Seems a little empty there. Otherwise good build! I'd ditch the front grill, leave only the licensce plate and make the radiator out of those grilled tiles, but that's just me
  23. That's incredible! It is amazing how many functions you managed to implement in this beast, which doesn't seem to be dreaming, but is wide awake and ready to bite the prize off I especially like the rear and the cab. The pull-back motor locking mechanism is fantastic and really ads to the playability. I did think about it for a bit, but couldn't make it. Congratulations, this one will be hard to beat! I can hardly wait for the voting to start!
  24. Wow Jim , I have so much to learn! Do you think that, besides my poor skills, RAW footage does the job so much better then JPEG post processing? Although, I did take both photos myself . You said you worked in lightroom, do you think it is better for our purposes then PS? Definetly gotta try it out. Could you please send me this one, and maybe some others in high resolution, if you'll process them of course. Maybe the one from the side (the longitudinal cross section one). Thanks! Oh, and I promise I won't use those for the entry topic, I guess those should stay mine .
  25. Heh, that video is just epic! Discovery channel was way better in 1930ies ;-) Where did you get it???
