  1. Great man, you can also airbrush!? ...that's another thing I always admired but never tried it... So I googled this "French insignia" thing and I get just to much results - do you have anything particular in mind? Oh, I didn't check the MT competition rules, if custom stickers are even allowed - if they're not, than I'm sorry to even bother you about them Best regards, miha
  2. To be honest, I know just about zero about real life tanks:-S I guess it is not that complicated to make some decals the way Sariel explained and a regular ink jet would be enough...well I certainly am not the one to be talking, since I never tried it :$
  3. Nevermind, I was just asking. It is a fantastic achievement, just thought that decals would spice it up a little...
  4. Great!!! Do you have any custom stickers in mind?
  5. Were only two PF IR receivers enough to control all the functions or are there more, hidden in the dark? Otherwise, a true peace of art you've built! Oh yes, and how did you get the cannon to be strong enough - I am aiming to that DBG minifig head piece (if that is what it is) - is there a way to put any reinforcement through that piece?
  6. The motorbike sounds OK, I hope the formula offroader is not to similar to the 8048, I didn't like that one. I think that that "Le Mans" machine is not going to raise my heartbeat to much, unless it is in some new color and with some cool pieces. Do you happen to know if these are all 1H15 sets or is it the whole bunch for 2015?
  7. I, on the other hand, prefer the original white birdie, the black helicopter is another story though... it turned out way better than the plane.
  8. I like US trucks also, but I find them really weird with two steered axles! Otherwise US tractor trucks are really great cause they are usualy big and shiny, we don't see much of that in Europe.
  9. So, 5 axles, front two steer,... it does seem quite a long chassis for a "normal" dump truck. Did you have anything special in mind? IMO, it would be better, if the last two axles were driven and you could make the middle one go up and down... You should also think about adding another level of longitudinal beams and connecting them with the lower level into a sturdy truss. Regarding the brand, I prefer the european type of trucks... some Volvo or Scania maybe? Looking forward to your progress!
  10. I started editing the video today, I hope I'll be done soon. I really had a lot going on since I presented the truck and now I spend quite a lot of time in front of the TV cheering for our national basketball team on the world championship in Spain!!! So delay, delay... THX, to all
  11. Congratulations, it is perfect!!! Its performance is amazing, I didn't now that unimog tires have so much grip, wish I had some :-) Really cool that you are preparing BI for such a big model. I will definetly check them out!!!
  12. I didn't know the car by its name so I googled it and found . I suggest you don't take this one outside after it's done, unless you want some new patterns on you bricks :-)
  13. I must agree with Chapachuk here...at least you should ger rid of the lights...
  14. Check out bricklink.com, there you'll find inventory for every set you want...
  15. Oh I see, I thought it will be motorised... I didn't go through the MT contest rules, so my bad... I agree, if it is a stationery model all my arguments are out of place. Keep up the good work, I wish I had so much time to build ;-)
  16. Wow, I love the color scheme and the Coca Cola can :-) Will you change the round tiles above the steering wheel with gauge pattern or will you leave it as it is?
  17. Hmmm, you might have some problems with the tracks falling of the front wheel when turning...is there no way to add another dish on the inner side of the track? Will you brace that 2x1 brick with two holes in any way?... seems it won't hold the presure while driving...
  18. Very good idea for the bogies! Which part of it will be attached to the chassis, upper beam or the lower bogie part?
  19. I saw this one on YT before EB. It is fantstic, great details! Have you ever tried to expand it to a "full" VW bug?
  20. Perhaps two 1x4 red tiles over the battery studs? Otherwise it's magnificent.
  21. I guess you should ad some plates and tiles for the bottom, or is there a special reason for bottomless build? Otherwise it is super cool, almost freezing ;-)
  22. What if you just added another 41678 on top of the first?
  23. Great review! I agree with you on that French flag missing. I got mine from mum for my birthday. It's still waiting for a peaceful and quiet moment to be built, but I did inspect the box and content already. I find the booklets binding not so durable as you described, because, even though I went through it with great care, some stitches came poping out. Nothing to extreme for now, but I fear it might get quite damaged if I'd read it to often. Btw., isn't it great when mum buys you LEGOs for your birthday again after 20 years she last bought you a set :-)
  24. It looks fantastic! Are those older cylinders longer than the "usual" ones? Perhaps you could brace the fork to the mast by one additional connector, to reduce the wobble...
  25. I don't know, there are many ways to "end" your foe - the 5x7 technic frame :-)
