42035 Panels
MajklSpajkl replied to Richard Dower's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
If you look to the inner side of the tipping bed, it seems that the panel looks the same on both sides, so there is only one type of that new panel and the keft and right type. -
[MTD] Citroën 2CV
MajklSpajkl replied to Leewan's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Fantastic!!! The only thing that bothers me a little is the B and C collumn (is that what they're called?) of totally different design. -
[MT] Camper Tricycle

This one is really mind blowing and very original - I never even saw one of these... great job on the pedalling man and on the sunshade! -
Thirdwigg's MOCs

Fantastic, have you tried it with the 42008 wheels or are they too small? Where did you get the stickers, your design? -
Who knows? Maybe they'll wait zntil 2016 with those tires, so that the UCS Tumbler will be even more desirable and totaly sold out for a long period of time... I vote for big forklift as well :-)
-
It looks you are right. I just noticed there is no new piece on the 42031 roof just a pin axle connector with two axles in black colour which is great!
-
EB member Cwetqo told me, that previous mudgard design for the 42039 was discarded because it was to fragile and could easily brake - i still don't see the point to change half of the design...
-
I keep looking at that 42039 and still I just can' believe it. The hood is way to pointy, round lights would fit some jeep way better and those flat mudguards...they could habe just use the beams!!! Good thing is, that is still o good parts/color pack. Are those black treads on the 42038?
-
They totaly blew it with the 43039! So much uglier than the preliminary model! At least the front part is totaly messed up. I feel so disapointed :-(

Effe's MOC Corner

Very good idea!!! I sure will try it in my future builds - how damaging do you think it is to clutch gear's torque resistance? -
[MT] [WIP] Octan GT
MajklSpajkl replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I love the model, perhapse a stud ot two wider car would look even more mean! The inly thing (well 2 actualy) that I would add is white 1x2 tile above the lights... Well, the video answered my question - small bevel gear does the job with the gear rack under angle quite ok. Good job with the front mudguards!!! -

Sorry, but you'l have to enlighten us on the error, well me at least :) Only now I've spotted the clutch gears next to the diffs - I guess this is your limited slip diff. solution - well how good does it work? I feel that it would work good for lighter models, but for this giant of yours I am not sure. Or is the torque that the clutch gear can handle so much higher than the one needed to move the truck futher on when stuck due to differentials? I guess I should try it to understand it - can you post just the gears "x-ray" if you made one? -
My thoughts exactly - I think it would look worse with wheels inside the whole box. As I already said to you chapachuk on KK forum, this boy took my clothes off, not just the shoes! I sure hope you would bring it to next KF (18.9.-19.9.)!!! The whole vignette actualy. If there would be a MT hall of fame, this one would be the first that should drive in!

[MT] [WIP] Octan GT
MajklSpajkl replied to Zerobricks's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yo, congratulations on the new job! Octan GT looks good so far - good way to move the pivot point towards the center of the steering wheels - I wonder how will you solve the steering since the gear rack is not moving in a straight line - can a bevel gear take it? And now for the camera - it looks fantastic - can you please provide a link? Could you also please show how did you attach it to your models - how easy is it to attach it? -

Looks very promising! Do you have any photos with the tires mounted on those turntable wheels? How good is the grip between tires and the turntables? Do you need any additional fixing for it? -
I sure wouldn't mind that one hanging above my desk I really need to get some LEGO Technic posters, my new LEGO HQ (desk) look rather plain...
-
Wow, that LeMans poster is so hot!!! No doubt the model will look awesome!!! I like the whole video as well, even though I won't be buying the loader. I wish TLG made more such videos.

Red monster truck
MajklSpajkl replied to dmitryq's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It looks like a 1920s truck pimped up to a monster truck, I like the hood, the white stripe and the fake engine. I fear that the axles need at least one extra link, which would restrict the axles to swing sideways.
