Thanks! You're right, there is no dif. just direct drive to rear wheels - simplest possible solution. Thank you very much! -

Thanks, I'm really glad you like it! erelender, my inspiration for the front part was actually the KTM X-Bow (because of color combination and panels that i had). -

Got it. In my case, difference in caster angle (between those two version) is relatively small so i didn't really notice greater improvement in performance. I'm sure that The Dawnbreaker has better performance with that superpositive caster and automatic return-to-centre steering - very cool feature btw. Regarding the photos, I agree with you. These red tones are actually reflection of a red wall next to which I took the photos (beginner's mistake - won't happen again ). I wasn't sure how black/orange combination will look on black background but I'm satisfied how it turned out. -

Thanks! I'm not sure how much did this change improve performance, unfortunately I didn't measure the reach of the previous version, I don't think there is a big difference. But I'm pleasantly surprised with how the pull back motor copes with 332g heavy vehicle -

I made some changes to improve caster angle - basically, I made it little bit longer and set the cabin little bit lower. Here are some photos of the new version: I used three more parts, so here are the 14 remaining parts: "Daydream" in numbers: 329 pieces. Length: 22-24cm/ Width: 15cm/ Height: 9cm. Weight: 332g. I hope you'll like it... -

Thanks a lot Zblj! Thank you Miha! We have chosen the same models - The Dawnbreaker looks so cool! Thanks Jeron! I'm glad you like the front - inspiration was the KTM X-Bow, although the end result is far from the original. I am aware that I may have gone too far with the chains... Thank you Rishab N, I'm glad you like it! Thank you very much Horace! -

Great work Paul! I like your idea to make it light-weight and can't wait to see performance of the motorized version. Would you be so kind to share more details, what can we expect? SBrick, Buggy motor/s perhaps... My imagination is going all over the place now. -

Wow! What a great idea! Possibility of body swapping (btw. they both look awesome) for those two models is beyond cool! But, as if that were not enough, you've made two versions of chassis (manual and rc) for those two beautiful bodys... I've never seen anything like it and I really love it! -

Thanks! I agree with you guys about wheelbase, it should've been shorter. -

Thanks guys! I was thinking about putting the receiver at the back, above RC motor - It would shorten the wheelbase for three studs, but then I decided to hide it down there... I tried to shorten it with relatively large angle of RC motor, but I guess that the angle could've been larger -

Hello everyone, I’ve just bought RC motor and I wanted to make a relatively simple and fun to drive off-road vehicle. Here is my first off-road MOC: Video of driving outdoors with basic info: Short review and indoor action (jumps and drift): Basically, I tried to make it as light as possible – it weighs 502g. It is 35 studs long, 19 studs wide and 16 studs high. Drive: 1 RC motor (outer output) directly connected to the rear wheels - RWD only. Relatively long travel suspension (front independent, rear dragged axle), and decent ground clearance. 8878 battery is in the middle, set lowest possible, for better weight distribution. Also there are few details in the interior. The IR receiver is hidden between battery and the servo (to save space, it partly goes under the servo motor). Servo motor for steering (with 4 round plates at each side also acts as a fake V8 engine under the hood). Doors and hood can be open, they come with safety locks to prevent unwanted opening - very often on rough terrain For sense of scale, here it is next to my 9398 Crawler: At the end, I really need to share my impressions about RC motor. It is really impressive, especially after I got used to the characteristics of the PF motors and tried almost every combination (PF motors&batteries) to achive better performance Of course, I knew it is fast, but nevertheless, you should've seen huge smile on my face on the first test drive. I wish I could turn back time and buy it earlier! More photos can be found at: MOCpages - http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/397115 Flickr - https://www.flickr.c...57647629179022/ All in all, this turned out to be very fun to play MOC, hope you'll like it…
