  1. It looks great - very nice color choice, but I like its performance even better - it is so fast that it is no wonder that you had to slow it down on some parts in the video All kidding aside, I was curious to see how brick built cabin will effect its performance but it seems to be very fast and agile - very fun to drive. I love it
  2. Wow! This is really beautiful Ferrari, amazing work jorgeopesi! Perfect shape and great details, I can't wait to see more!!
  3. Thank you all! I am very happy that you like it and sorry for the spam to those who have seen it before somewhere else. I agree, slimmer wheels would be perfect! It would look and drift better and it would probably be lighter=faster. Unfortunately, I haven't had them when I built it. Does anybody knows, are there slimmer LEGO wheels with similar diameter (I used 56x28 mm tires)? Yes, great question, I even made the front mudguards but then I gave up on that idea to reduce weight. It was supposed to look like a Volkswagen Beetle without mudguards and to be as fast as possible. Thanks again to everyone for your comments, I really appreciate your feedback!
  4. Hello everyone, This is another creation that I made before joining Eurobricks, which I'd really like to share with you: Plan was to make relatively simple, light and fast car (it was before I bought RC motor). It is 37 studs long, 19 studs wide and 12 studs high and weighs 589 g. Two L motors are coupled and geared 5:1. Power is transmitted, without differential (my attempt to increase drifting capabilities) to the rear wheels only. Servo motor is for steering and everything is powerd by 8878 battery (easy accessible for charging). Working 4 cylinder boxer engine and serpentine belt part which drives fake fan. Doors can be opened. It also has: - working steering wheel (directly connected to second output of servo motor). - functional glove box and some other details in the interior. - fake fuel tank at the front, with filler cap that can be opened. - custom stickers, chromed details and a smile on the face of the person who drives it More photos can be found at: MOCpages - http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/384440 Flickr - https://www.flickr.c...57642862140243/ I hope you'll like it…
  5. This looks great! I especially like the steering mechanism, and your effort on details (fuel tank, gearbox lever, exhaust pipes, engine...). Very nice rat!
  6. I really like the fact that it is motorized and I think it looks great, especially having all those pf elements. My favorite part is your solution to transfer the power from L motor to the rear wheel - very smart!! Great work as always! These tires look great, pity that they are useless except for bat-vehicles
  7. Fantastic work, especially for just 70 hours! It looks and works great! Nice usage of micromotors for lights and cool steering (different angle of front wheels)... Btw. Amazing demonstration with sugar
  8. Wow! It looks really great! I like how you managed to keep it so light with so much power (2xRC/2x8878) - amazing power to weight ratio! I bet this will be great fun to drive, can't wait to see a video
  9. I'm interested in 42037 (formula off-roader sounds so promising ) and 42039 (really hope that it will have tumbler tires ). I can't wait to see more...
  10. Thank you all for your comments, I'm really glad you like it. I remember I was in a great doubt whether to buy 8070 or not, because I was disappointed with the fact that 8070 has no motorized driving and steering, especially considering that my other two sets were 8043 and 9398 (both motorized), but it looked so good on a shelf in a store that I couldn't resist. I immediately added rc driving & steering and the problem was solved. I added adjustable air suspension just recently - I wanted to test some ideas with pneumatic components so I used my 8070 as a test polygon
  11. Nice job, instantly recognizable! I look forward to see it completed!
  12. Interesting! Thanks Paul, you've just gave me another argument to convince my girl that buying this set is reasonable decision
  13. Amazing MOC, really great job! Such a big model but with such a great details - looks great! It has great functions: Motorized windshield wipers controlled with the IR Speed remote control, turntable for locking diffs, motorized crane outriggers... Very smart, compact and effective!! I love it! It is obvious that you've put a lot of effort in it but, in my opinion, it was worth it, thank you for sharing it with us!
  14. Thanks! Yes, they are parallel and they work together - This combination turned out to be ideal for this car. First I tried without springs by just replacing them with small pneumatic pumps (they are very similar in size so that change was easy and logical), but small pneumatic cylinders were not powerful enough to raise the car (nor to keep it raised). Then, I added soft spring shocks to help them raise it. But also, soft spring shocks are not strong enough to hold 8070 raised (with almost 1,5 kg it needs hard spring shocks) so it is enough to release air from pneumatic cylinders to lower the car. The main advantage of this configuration, off course, is using 8070 weight to lower the car. It means that only one input of pneumatic cylinders is connected to the pneumatic switch/pump - simpler system with less pneumatic hoses. I have even tried to combine hard spring shocks with small pneumatic cylinders by powering another input of pneumatic cylinder so it could pull car down when it is on air pressure - I thought that, with help of 8070 weight small cylinders could force down hard spring shocks, but it wasn't successful. Hard shock springs were just too powerful. Thanks, I'm glad you like it!
  15. Thanks! I thought about it but the tests were not successful. I made motorized compressor with M motor and two small pneumatic pumps (I only have two), but unfortunately 8070 turned out to be too heavy for it (it couldn't create enough air pressure for small cylinders to raise the car).
  16. Hello everyone, I finished this 8070 modification two months ago (before I joined Eurobricks) and I would really like to hear your thoughts about it. It has adjustable air suspension and motorized/remotely controlled driving and steering... You may have already seen it in a drag race video with my hot rod Lucky 13. Original 6.5 L hard springs have been changed with 6.5 L soft spring + small pneumatic cylinder, for all wheels. It has large pneumatic pump at the back and pneumatic switch at the cabin for controlling the riding height. It also has working steering wheel and remotely controlled original functions (doors, rear spoiler and hood - choice of a function is done manually with gearbox lever, like in the original). It has additional two L motors for driving and M motor for steering, two IR receivers (one of them V2). Original battery box has been replaced with smaller 8878 - hidden behind panels at the rear for more realistic appearance. More photos can be found at: MOCpages - http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/391089 Flickr - https://www.flickr.c...57645381445513/ I know that 8070 is an old set and that there are mixed feelings about it but I hope you will like this version...
  17. Thanks! I really didn't know that hot rods don't have indicators thanks for the suggestions. Thank you for your comment! You've really made my day! I'm so happy that it looks good to the real hot rods enthusiast! Here in Croatia, we can see hot rods only on the Internet and maybe TV. I tried to make it look realistic but I know that I still have lot to learn... Thanks!
  18. Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I'm especially happy that you like my videos too. I always put much time and effort to build part but then fear that I would mess up the presentation...
  19. Yes, 2L motors are powerful enough for its weight (1285g - approximately 200g lighter than Crawler 9398 with same combination of motors) and I've tried to make it as light as possible, without compromising the looks (for example, I used hose soft axles for seats to save some weight). Thank you, I'm glad you like it! Especially thanks for your "second look"!
  20. Nice mount! I've done something similar last weekend... I bet your cats were interested in the large turning radius of the Unimog
  21. I like the way you think! Rat theme is great! I need to get some brown parts for future projects... Thanks! I'm glad you like it.
  22. I like this version even more than a white one! Those yellow wheels really draws attention to it! I was wondering how they would look on a car, now I know - Spectacular!
