  1. Great choice, good luck!
  2. My interpretation of Lancia Stratos (https://www.flickr.c...57645207280051/) had a working fake transverse V6: but, unfortunately, I was more concentrated on the testing of 4L motors, and less about engine details.
  3. I had my share of experimenting with drifting cars and I had best experiences with: Rear wheel drive, no differential, big power/weight ratio and very fast rotating drive axle – achieved by rc buggy motor (my example: ), or with combination of pf motors that must be geared up a lot (my examples: 4 L motors geared 9:1: and 2 L motors geared 5:1: ), that is especially important if you are using XL motors (because their low speed/big torque). Narrow tires are helpful but it is not important if you are using duct tape - I didn’t use duct tape in those creations so, I think, you will achieve drifting much easier.
  4. Wow! I'm impressed with the progress you've made in such a short period of time - great work gmshades! Your biggest "problem" will be the excess of time. Are you planning to put some stickers on it?
  5. Hahahahaha, you are right. By the time we see the first photos, these expectations will turn into a big hungry monster - I wouldn't want to be TLG then.
  6. I'm trying to retain my excitement about this rumor as much as I can, to avoid possibility of disappoint, but I'm only an afol and I don't know how much longer I can fight it.
  7. On this "tiny thing" one could transport everything.
  8. The loom works great but I also really like your quad! It is much bigger than I expected. I especially like the steering mechanism and overall appearance - great work with those white/black panels! I like your video too - nice idea to include real quad bike in the video about LEGO quad.
  9. Absolutely amazing MOC! Looks, functions, everything is perfect! Btw. I like the stickers... Wow!
  10. Great models! I especially like Graverobber - it looks so cool and threatening, especially with those custom tires. We have all seen photos and video reviews of colorful 2015 sets but you've demonstrate how cool black models can be.
  11. Great looking MOC! Crank start function is very cool and I love the engine. How much does it weighs and which motors did you use for driving?
  12. I've turned it into a roadster: It still has all the functions, but it has lower weight and better performance. Here is the video of driving outside: More photos: https://www.flickr.c...57649812508035/ Hope you'll like it...
  13. Wow! What a great idea for the contest - big thanks to the SBrick team for their role in this! I must say, I'm really looking forward to it, although I still don't know what to build. Prizes are amazing and they will motivate lots of people to do their best - I can't wait to see those motorized MOC's! Regarding the rules, I agre with D3K's sugestion: "you must use four (no more, no less) of the outputs on the SBrick(s), regardless of the amount of motors." If you put it like that, and considering that controling pf lights with SBrick is not counted as a function, the minimum request for participating this contest is to use 4 outputs of the SBrick to power 4 or more pf motors - The rest (gearbox or no gearbox, pneumatic, manual functions...) should be left to our imagination.
  14. Very nice, I like this formula much more than 42000! Congratulations on the tenth birthday
  15. Really great MOC! Surprisingly successful color combination - it really looks great, btw, very nice photos. Can't wait for the video...
  16. I feel like I'm late to the party, unfortunately somehow I missed it so far, but I have to agree with all the praises, this is absolutely amazing MOC! In short, it looks incredibly realistic, it is huge and have lots of great functions. I like the video very much - "rear live pneumatic axles" function looks so cool and seems to work great in spite of models big weight. Speaking of weight, at first I thought that 4 XL motors are bit to much for 5.8 kg heavy truck, but when I saw it pull loaded trailer (12kg) my jaw just dropped... Great work!!
  17. Luckily, I got back into LEGO just before 8043 retired. It was love at first sight and, although I didn't know anything about TECHNIC, I knew that I want it. As it turned out, 8043 has ended my dark ages. In my opinion good flagship must have both; attractiveness to spark the interest of new people to LEGO and innovation to meet the interest of existing fans.
  18. Congarulations to the winners! This was fun, we should do it again.
  19. Beautifully done! Very compact and efficient! I would also like to see it in action (even an SD video will be sufficient... ). How much it weighs?
  20. That's a good point. It would be nice to see a new pf motor.
  21. I just got my copy and I'm excited as a kid in a candy store! First impression is absolutely excellent - amazing quality covers and beautiful photos! Thank you very much for the effort invested in this project!
  22. Few photos without cabin: Position of IR receiver and other electronic components:
  23. Great reviews Sariel, thank you very much! As miha already said, off to save the money...
  24. Thank you guys for such a positive comments - I just got back home from work and to see all your responses... You've made my day! You've mentioned some things you liked and here are some aditional information about them: I'm really glad you liked "red string detail" - I wanted to put something red inside the doors to match red dashboard and red seats - string was the simplest solution and it looks like red stitching on black doors. Front suspension solution - shock absorbers looked too big for this model so, after few attempts, I came up with this solution - I like it because it is simple, lightweight and works reasonably well, especially because front part of the car is set very low. Miha, thanks mate! Chrome parts are mostly from bricklink (exceptions are the door handles and the tops of air intakes, those were chromed by me - I didn't find them on BL). Decals are home made, also by me , and inspiration were some real life hot rods. "Model Team + Technic + RC & PF + chrome" - Cool comment deraven! You're right, I wanted more realistic apperance and that's way I went outside technic box. Downside was increased weight / worsen performance, but luckily RC buggy motor has saved the day "modification ot the chassis" - Tommy, I don't know have you seen my first creation with RC buggy motor (off-road racer) but this uses almost the same chassis - you couldn't be more right, mate! Gzzig, I don't know how it is called but I know what you mean. Rear end of RC buggy motor really looks like a diff casing - it would be perfect if it were chromed.
