Nice one! The frozen pond works really well, as does the tree.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone! Thanks. Good point, thats something I will have to experiment with. Glad I finally got the trees right! Great idea about the brown vines, I will defiantly use them instead of the dark green ones next time. Thanks for the advice!

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
BrickCurve replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
New MOC from me, mainly jot try out a new same dune technique, which I will end up using in a larger MOC in the future- -
As they get nearer and nearer to the Arkbri river, two travellers, weary from there exhausting trek across the Oil Road, begin to see trees, and more signs of life sprouting up out of the barren desert. Overall, pretty pleased with how this sand technique turned out, pleased enough to order some more of the parts for my next large MOC!

The giant on its own would be amazing, with an excellent landscape as well... Simply brilliant!- 18 replies

Looks good, I particularly like the swamp. I am not sure historic themes is the right place to post it though.

Top notch, you really nailed the roof shaping and angle.

Excellent job, instantly recognisable with some of the best representations of Asterix and Obelix, in mini figure form I have ever seen!
-
Great job! The curved roof technique works surprisingly well here.
-
Great job, it looks excellent! The shaping works well, as does the figurehead. The sail and mini figure posing are also really good!

[MOC] The Ruins of the Undar-Neeth

Looks really good! The arch works particularly well. -
Thanks. I look forward to seeing your winter village lighthouse!

My entry for the 'Expand Lighthouse Point' competition over on Lego ReBrick. Yes, I made a micro one as well! For the contest, I also had to create a 360 degree view of the model using the new Creator app, which is essentially stop motion limited to 16 frames, which explains why the video is poor quality! (The app severely crops the pictures it takes).

Great job, the cliff works particularly well! Great detailing and landscaping as well.

Looks really good! One thing that I think that could be improved would be that the vegetation in the front corner is a bit him, especially since it is so exposed in the front of the MOC. Oh and another thing, with the photo of both modules together, it is hard to see the detail in the parts of the MOC that are in shadow. If you both use the same camera which I noticed on Garmadon's Flickr, there is an option to adjust how it shows shadows in an image. Page 50 of this manual shows how to adjust the shadows (for an Oly EM10) http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/oima_cckb/E-M10_MANUAL_ENGLISH.PDF

Looks great! The wood cladding works surprisingly well, I will have to remember to steal try that technique for next year! Funny, my SHIP is exactly the same length...

According to Brickset, 850, so counting Bricklink ordered parts (for some mini figures in my MOCs), probably about 870 or so!

Great interview! Thanks to SK and Blufiji!

Laesonar 1 - Unexpected Encounters [Part 1]
BrickCurve replied to en_zoo's topic in Guilds of Historica
UOP + 1 for the credit. The MOC looks great! The trees and photography have both really improved! The landscaping and rock work is good as well. One thing that I think you could improve is that the trees look a bit flat on top, which can be fixed easily by adding more leaves. For trees, one nearly always ends up using far more leaves than planned! UOP + 1 for the credit. The MOC looks great! The trees and photography have both really improved! Falconstone Council (Prequel for minichallenge)
BrickCurve replied to dathil's topic in Guilds of Historica
Looks good, nice touch adding the map built into the table, it works really well. Does your camera have an SD card? If so, then you could probably just connect it to the SD card slot on your computer, (most computers have them).- 6 replies

Minichallenge I: Foreign Aid; the Lion's Pride
BrickCurve replied to Arcturus24's topic in Guilds of Historica
Some good detail here! One thing that I think could be improved is the roof, the flat, tiled design on top just doesn't really work for me. -
