Elves and gondor armies defending the mountain pass
BrickCurve replied to richchie's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Looks good, that s a lot of mini figures! Your rock work is of particular note. the only thing that majorly needs improving is the road way, adding some (or lots) of 1 x 2 plates would really improve it and make it seem more natural. Overall, great job! -
I think that perhaps those with the rank of Knight and above cold report on a spam topic, which after 3 seperate reports could be locked... I think there are just too many ways for the system to accidentally lock non spamming members out if a post of theirs was reported for other reasons other than spam. Good idea though.

Great job! I am not sure about the pyramid roof used in the centre however, i think it extends out too far from the tower.
-
Incredible job! It looks really excellent!
-
Great idea! I'll build one... as soon as SHIPtemver is over and sorted... (so when I get my tiles back).

I was pointing out my favourite part...Everything else I was going to stay has already been said by someone else! Without resorting to plagiarism, I will have to limit myself to asking where the silver monkey is from! Humour like this coupled with a great MOC is making me seriously consider joining BoBS! After SHIPtember...

Unfortunately, I think you may be right... It just happened to me again, this time when trying to add spoiler tags to a post I had just made. From now on I avoid the preview post button.

Dont worry, its a very common mistake people make when they first join EB. For future reference-

Great job! The roof technique and the techniques you used for the walls are some of my favourite parts. The landscaping is also really good.

Excellent miniatures!

Thanks! I think perhaps if there were more of them it would look more realistic. Perhaps if I add a second module... I will try and build a version that is somewhere in-between next time! Thanks for the advice!

LDD MOC - Brick/Plate-built Sauron
BrickCurve replied to Jason C. Hand's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Looks good. I think adding a cape would really make it look a lot more menacing. -
I occasionally get that error in Safari on Mac, only in PMs thankfully. It seems that if I haven't cleared the browser cache for a while, clearing it fixes the problem in the short term. I have no idea why though.

I personally prefer 4 wide for really small cars, and 5- 6 wide for more standard size vehicles.

[MOC] Azari's garden and cottage
BrickCurve replied to Marishka's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Nice one. I particularly like the roof design, it works really well here. Its showing in the desktop version for me. -

The Exetrius Saga (10): Festival of the Ranks (part 2)
BrickCurve replied to Exetrius's topic in Guilds of Historica
Looks good! My favourite part is the cheering crowd, they are very well posed.- 14 replies

They look nice. However I am pretty sure that military MOCs belong in the special themes forum, not Historic themes.
-
Great idea! It works really well.

thanks. Your right, I think it may partly be the angle of the trees towards the corner of the MOC, and therefore where the camera was. Thanks for pointing it out, its something I will look at a lot next time. Out of interest, does the technique work as well in my MOC here? The photo was taken from a much higher angle so I think it helps quite a bit with that.

Thanks. Thanks! Its possible, though not yet, I need to finish my SHIPtember build as well as my CBC build, not to mention a few other projects...
