AoM: Belltower Outpost, Tower Phase I
BrickCurve replied to Legofin2012's topic in Guilds of Historica
It looks really great! The snow works particularly well. It's a pity parts of the photo are so dark as it makes it harder to see all the detail. -
Looks excellent! The stairs and floor tiling are my favourite part, particularly the stairs as they really look remarkably like a spiral staircase!

No, that was too keep the sheep (for the record, not my sheep), from eating the rocket! About 70% recovered, several pieces from the front are missing as well as the parts that help it into the balsa and cardboard rocket tube. Mainly the parts that held on the wind screen, and, for some strange reason, the pilot is now missing a helmet, as well as missing half of his left hand!

I really wanted to build an all lego rocket- unfortunately the only motor I had on hand that could launch it was faulty, so I had to improvise to a much, much smaller size! Video here- Ominous wreckage-

It will take a bit of getting used to, but I really like the new design! A couple of things I have noticed however, hopefully they haven't been mentioned in the previous 6 pages : Text in signatures is very pale, too pale to read easily on some monitors. It can be adjusted in the edit signature option, though the colour change seems to be a forum wide thing. Is there a way to set the forum to stop coming up with the "website would like to show desktop notification" option? Perhaps a setting that could be adjusted in the user notification options would be useful. And lastly, is harder to see the division between the pinned and normal topics in sub forums like GOH. The old design was much easier to use in that respect. A bar of colour between the pinned and standard posts would be really great. Thanks Mods for all the hard work! EDIT: I just noticed that the icon in my bookmark of the site has gone from the 2 x 2 brick with the stars, to just a blank space. Might just be an issue with Safari though.

Thanks everyone! . They are these ones- http://brickset.com/parts/4106895. As far as I know they haven't been in sets for a while, I got mine through LUG bulk.

Wow, one of the best microscale landscapes I have ever seen! Amazing job!
-
Looks good. I really like the different angles you have managed to achieve with the walls.

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
BrickCurve replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Has anyone had any trouble getting onto MOCpages? I keep getting the server not responding error. -
Very impressive! Did you use software to help convert an image to a mosaic?
-
Great parts usage! Agreed. If it was 100 studs long it would make a great entry!

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
BrickCurve replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Thanks! Glad you like them! They were printed for me by a guy I met at an expo last year, he also did the capes I used in this MOC- https://flic.kr/p/JBQdwY The barding is AUD $3.00 each so that makes it about US $2.27, I will see if I can get a bulk discount, depending on how many people want any. Postage is on me! -

Any one interested in some fabric (Kaliphlin themed) horse barding? Just making sure that if anyone wants any, I order the right amount. -
Nocturnus Minichallenge II: The Grave of the Troll Wizard
BrickCurve replied to a topic in Guilds of Historica
For a first MOC, this is really good. I look forward to seeing your future MOCs! -
Wow, simply amazing! My favourite build from you yet!
-
Looks nice. Adding some more tiles and 1 x 1 slopes along the head and side of the dragon would make it look a lot more realistic. Also, perhaps adding a longer thinner tail would look good as well.

MOC: Dwarven Artillery - Colossal Cannon
BrickCurve replied to Vorkosigan's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
One very impressive Canon! -
Looks great! Perhaps some more grass stalks to add to the landscaping a bit more, however I haven't seen the film for a while so couldn't vouch for how accurate that would be.
-
Great job! Its instantly recognisable! I really like you choice of background colour, it works surprisingly well.
-
Looking good! I think a photo where you can see the whole MOC rather than just a small part or a silhouette would be really worth adding.

Thanks! I intend to add a second module soon and rework this one, after SHIPtember and CBC that is! Thanks! A good portion of my remotely castle themed mini figures are buried in the sorting so perhaps in the second module.
