  1. 10190 Market Street & 10218 Pet Shop(townhouse side) both have a bit of a basement. Maybe use that as a brick built starting point for designing yours.
  2. Nice, you have very good taste in sets. It too is one of my favorite sets, so much so, I bought two. I like that the dropship can carry other walkers.
  3. There’s no drama in my comment. You conveniently left out the parts of why it’s both stupid & nonsensical, which is fact. MOCers can use as many pieces as they want to. They aren’t limited to a piece number, or a price, or what’s in the inventory of the company. If they want a part that isn’t in production, they can just hop on Bricklink & buy it. The only limit MOCers have is their walllet.
  4. I do vaguely remember the complaints about PR building being so small, but the color making up for it. That may be where the extra hate comes from for this one. Hell, it wasn’t mentioned & echoed in this thread, the lack of leaked information/picture worked everyone’s imaginations into a frenzy. Then when it was revealed, it didn’t live up to their imaginations. I remember that being the case with AS particularly. It turns from cricticism to hate when insults about the designers efforts made this thread. There’s been a few other jabs at the designer, but most have been about the building. I think the biggest problem with the CG, as I said above, was the lack of information, which lead to imaginations going wild.
  5. I saw the train today at one of my Targets. It was at the checkout lane(self check out in this case) among the other stuff.
  6. It’s completely stupid & nonsensical to compare official sets to MOC’s. For the simple reason of a MOC doesn’t have the same restraints an official set does. There’s no price point to hit with a MOC or a particular piece count to reach or be limited by.
  7. 75198 Tatooine Battle Pack
  8. The Ghost is fantastic. I’ve done a good job of staying away from these, even though I wouldn’t mind picking up some of them. And that Dragon Dance Guy that was revealed with this lot is amazing.
  9. Exactly. The dramatics need to be toned down a lot. Insulting the designers efforts because you don’t like the building is unnecessary. Again, exactly. Not every building has to be a modern marvel, this line is meant to show a town. Towns consist of all kinds of different buildings. I think the build is going to be on par with every other Modular.
  10. I’m sorry, this is too funny though. It’s the sets fault because some people don’t like it? So, for all those people who do like it, who’s at fault there? The drama...
  11. Overall, I love it. I love the continued puns with the signs. I especially love the Dr. Jones No snakes sign! The interior details are great...looks like the cookie smugglers have a new customer. I’m glad to get that bunny & the sweater from the Old Fishing Store. New color Vespa is nice. As is all the other new parts. The biggest downside I see is tiling, it’s weird. The different widths for the entry/exit, as someone pointed out. For me, as I take the front row of tiles off, then connect the Modular to the street plate with 2x2 tiles, corners always look odd. This one feels like it will more so. Can’t even do that with the white/yellow ones. Nitpick, I don’t like the darker change to the Octan colors. and finally...the price. Total piece wise, being less than 100 to its predecessor, that price jump is rather offputtimg. Then comparing it to the TH...it’s really offputting. And if that’s the new precedent, I may soon be priced out of buying these, as sad as it isn’t to say.
  12. Seriously. I was a bit disappointed not to see any in the sets. Not much from Apocalypseburg to begin with though.
  13. I would love to see a new Privet Dr. set. It’s long overdue...and we didn’t even get two family members.
  14. If leaks weren’t a big deal, as you say, why would TLC crack down on them? It’s pretty clear leaks damage the company, otherwise we wouldn’t have strict guidelines against them both here & other sites. Leaks are a violation to LEGO. Ethically, it’s not right to steal a minifig or even take pictures of unreleased & unseen minifigs. As for the sets themselves, I can’t see why 70830 is priced where it is...$69.99 for a 502 piece set. Meanwhile we have 70829 at $49.99 for 550 pieces.
  15. A pretty decent substitute for Grindelwald is Zane’s from the Ninjago Movie. It has the general shape of his actual haircut.
  16. Great candy machine, what did you use for the candy pieces?
  17. I was just thinking this exact thing. They could do a European type building with mopeds instead of cars. Thats my only worry. I think it’ll need at lest two cars, which could add quite a bit to the price.
  18. My neck is fine... One thing I would change is your buildings layout. Having them all in a line in rows looks a bit boring, despite your great MOCs.
  19. 30356 Hot Dog Stand 30382 Baby Velociraptor Pen
  20. That’s how I felt about the Ford GT set. Wasn’t really interested in the set...except the new LeMans one. The same feeling is hitting me with this Mini.
  21. I don’t visit this section very often...boy did I miss out. This & your other Gundam are fantastic. I am always in awe of Gundam builds.
  22. These are amazing! I love the little girl’s hairpiece...and all that food!
  23. Right?! At least a tease like they did the WV Fire Station...something!
  24. The “People in the...” are likely your best bet. Currently there’s the Beach one(which is older) & the more recent Outdoor one. Some people think they’re overpriced, but I was quite happy with the Park one I bought.
  25. I too have had Palace Cinema since day one & the stickers are all just as they were the day I applied them.
