I hope that doesn’t happen. I’ve grown very tired of politics plaguing everything....and I know a fair number of the cast won’t be a me to help themselves. I won’t be watching if they do host.

The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion
Vindicare replied to Fenghuang0296's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The only unordinary thing is that sticker roll...but that obviously can’t be it. Then if you look at the $70 set, Emmet’s Dream House, it has 706 pieces. Accounting for it probably having smaller pieces, that’s still a large gap in price for the two sets. It’s a mystery... -
The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion
Vindicare replied to Fenghuang0296's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yeah, I was confused by the $70 price tag as well, when the $50 set had even more pieces than it did(550 to the Starships 502). The ship is fairly small, so even with the bigger pieces that price seems too much. -
Aquaman today, Into the Spiderverse tomorrow.

Saw Aquaman finally...I was blown away. I’m still not a fan of his look. It’s like they read too many Internet comments about how dorky & such comic book Aquaman is & took it to heart. However, they really nailed, Aquaman, Ocean Master, & Black Manta in the costume department. I especially loved Manta, but felt he should’ve had more screen time. It was a beautiful looking movie, the action was great. It was nice seeing DC get a first in the comic book movies genre, underwater world. I loved it.

It was the Ferris Wheel, I love those trees as well. It’s a shame they don’t use them more. You really intregated the deli nicely into the DO. It works well too.

Yeah, they’re roughly the same size. I picked that side to hide the lift feature from the garage that is seen, and I’m not planning on putting a building next to it. I can get one of it on the opposite side tomorrow if someone else doesn’t beat me to it by then.

I plan to put mine next to the DO. I did get a picture next to it as a test fit. Having issues logging into my Flickr...so just click the link in my signature.

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Vindicare replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
Fair point. I mostly stopped reading this thread because of all the movie-esque talk. I try to avoid too much extra curricular talk. No doubt, we’ll all remember the Golf Cart of Doom... Maybe in the past the toy fairs have been before the trailers drop? And therefore want the parts of those sets kept quiet? -
Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

It kinda is...it’s the same reason some sets aren’t shown at toy fairs because they reveal parts of the story. -
Dusting...what’s that? I only ever dust when I’m taking a picture, and only the area I’m focused on. Always enjoy your updates, it’s a fun way to show your latest purchases. As for your sea problem, 1x2 trans blue tiles looks great(but may be more expensive than the 1x1 rounds approach). A slight correction as well, the newsstand is from 60154 Bus Station.

I doubt your hopes for people not buying it for the design will go anywhere. There’s likely equal numbers of people who like the design. Hell, there’s even a few people here who have commented, albeit before it came out, that they will still buy it even though they didn’t like it. The design is certainly different, but that doesn’t make it lack creativity or inspiration from the designer as you assumed. Some, like myself, are probably quite happy to see a corner building with a drastically changed front facade as this one does. Given the angle of the front, I think it actually looks bigger.

I enjoyed the build. Had some cool builds in there. The bay windows were especially nice. I thought they were the pieces from the new-ish Creator townhouse...but surprise! The garage section is nicely done as well, albeit a bit cramped(obviously). The angled front makes it seem like the building is wider than it really is. A neat touch.

Marvel/DC Cooperation with Lego coming to an end?...
Vindicare replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I couldn’t see this happening, especially given how hot comic book movies, especially Marvel, are. Granted that doesn’t always translate to merchandise sales... I’d certainly be bummed, as Superheroes is my main go to. -
Hmm...it would depend. If we got an Arrow Deathstroke, a helmet would be more appropriate. If we got a New 52 version, a printed head would be better, as it’s just a cloth mask.
-
Arkham Knight would top my list, now that we have Red Hood. And another variant of Deathstroke, either from Arrow or his New 52 appearance.

Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Vindicare replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
I was just thinking about the donut shop. Looking at this year’s hospital, which has 861 pieces. Obviously a donut shop won’t be three stories, but it could be a fairly substantial building even if it does include a vehicle of some sort. -

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Vindicare replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I’d be okay with it in place of the Modular, so long as the building went with the others. The only distinction would be the minifigs, in the case Strange’s brownstone. Of course, with a named building like Wayne Indistries, Daily Bugle/Planet would likely irritate people if they weren’t easily removed. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

True...that was the first thing to pop in my mind & I was thinking about that fold out one I’ve seen...but oh yes, I would be an accessory to that kill for that!
