  1. That’s pretty cool. Love the removal screen idea.
  2. What was so bad about actually getting it? Yeah, the lead up to it was frustrating because of the unknown...but for me it was super easy. I reckon if you don’t have a B&N nearby that would do the trick... I could see Target possibly picking it up. They have done a few similar deals, with those minifig cubes. At one of the Targets here they’re doing a massive redesign of the toy section. They started with LEGO & added a TON of shelf space, have this great huge plastic display sitting atop the shelves of a slide with two kids on it. They even have a few Ideas sets, just like TRU did, as well as the big box displays. We’ll see if the other two follow suit.
  3. That would be walking the line I feel. Generally speaking, the licenses TLG has/had are relatively tame overall. It definitely depends on the parents, but I see plenty of young kids, target audience for TLG, in the superhero movies, despite their PG-13 rating. I highly doubt those same kids are watching GoT. Even the reason for this thread started, the heart pull, can’t compare to what’s seen in GoT. That would be the deal breaker I think. They could absolutely do it though, and I love to see it, as the fantasy violence aspect isn’t out of the realm for them, albeit it’s more graphic.
  4. Oh yeah, it’s interesting the minifig choices they made for Superheroes. Carnage, a serial killer. Deadpool... Hank Pym. It’s all about how LEGO depicts the characters. No set TLG makes isn’t kid friendly. Hence the sets being on the shelf. Overall subject matter is another story entirely. It’s all about presentation.
  5. For sure. 10+ years is a lot of time(more or less) with any character. When it’s ones you love, it makes that inevitable ending that much worse. Just knowing that Evans is done with his time as Cap definitely has me worried for what’s to come in April.
  6. That’s....disturbing. I love the hair, great job there. He’s a funny, creative fella.
  7. It’s been quite easy the couple times I’ve done it. There’s only been a few that I wasn’t sure about.
  8. I’m wondering, & hoping with my fingers crossed that the Bricktober pack will be the GWP in April to coincide with Endgame. Every time I watch Infinity War...it hurts a little bit not having them. Nice mostly updated collection. I need to grab all of the new Marvel releases...been too distracted by the Second Part sets. I want 2099 bad. I’m glad they went with that design instead of the newer redesign.
  9. The minifigs would definitely make or break my excitement for a new (just) Knight Bus, unless it was far better than its previous version. Granted it’s been 8 years since the last one, it was pretty great.
  10. The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part
  11. Just finished up building 70830 Sweet Mayhem’s Systar Starship! It’s a fantastic set, very swooshable. It’s a sturdy & heavy(for its size) ship. The build was quite fun as well. The $70 price tag is a little easier to take after building. And Mayhem is my introduction into minidolls. I must say, they are a bit strange. But this one is just too cool.
  12. Just got Tin Man, among a few others, and looking at a picture from the movie I see the hands on the LEGO clock differ from the movie one. I wonder if it’s a designer Easter egg or just random?
  13. Amazing. Who knew Bionicle/Hero Factory masks make perfect wasabi. The creativity here is great.
  14. Looking at the above picture, I agree the plaids are a bit too far apart. As to your unrelated bit, I added a scarf to the faun as well, I love it. It’s not too far from Mr. Tumnus.
  15. A good substitute headgear would be the beret I think. The black would look good with the torso/leg prints too.
  16. 70836 Battle-Ready Batman and Metalbeard 853865 Sewer Babies Accessory Set
  17. Hmm...no real preference I suppose, but a bounty hunter race would be fun. Who really is the best bounty hunter?!
  18. This is great! I love that SUV, some nice little details all over. I like how the ground spills over the border you made.
  19. This is tough. My initial thought as I read the first post is Iron Patriot, so I’ll stuck with that. But, there are so many great minifigs that are boosted because of the fantastic expressions they have now. The puke face from the Fairground Mixer, rocker from Downtown Diner, Black Canary from the LEGO Batman Movie CMS...just to name a few.
  20. It would have to be Palace Cinema(sans car) for me. I’m fond of it because of where it represents. I love the area in Hollywood where the inspiration for the building is.
  21. Haha, this is great. A foot race...not what I was expecting. They really had no chance against BB-8 though. Well done!
  22. UCS Brick Seperator sneak peek in the Designer video?!
  23. Great little build. I like how you attached the lights on the front.
