  1. This is true, I assumed the timeframe is still the same, when I don’t know that for sure. I’m not too worried about it, especially now that you both have made me realize that the promo may not be the same as it was with TRU. The wind is now partially back in my sails.
  2. Aside from using them for their intended purpose, when it’s needed- more so when removing 2x2 tiles... I give them to the local second hand LEGO store here in town. Not that he has a short supply of them, but if he can get a few bucks out of them...better than sitting in my room.
  3. That looks great! About as accurate as you could get. I have Jacob being the new owner of the bakery in Assembly Square.
  4. Well, the wind as been taken out of my sails...at least a bit. B&N employee & store manager have no idea what I’m talking about concerning Bricktober, or so they say. I mentioned the details about the promotion, showed her the picture & she said she hadn’t heard anything about it. I feel I should’ve asked the manager, as she didn’t really relay the information right. I hope word is just late getting to mine & that were are participating. We did do the Mini Hogwarts build, so they are doing LEGO related stuff. Sidenote, I see a Bricktober pack is listed on eBay from the UK for $116(US). Please, please, please don’t pay that price people. That’s how SDCC minifigs got to be so expensive.
  5. I recall them usually doing double points(a few years back they even did triple) in November.
  6. Great album. I really like how you situated Palace Cinema with the Pet Shop part.
  7. 21314 Tron: Legacy 853744 Knightmare Batman Accessory Pack
  8. “Toys for Tots” is synonymous with Christmas around here. And firemen are the typical ambassador for the charity. I don’t know how that plays around the world though.
  9. We could get both Kingsley & Tonks in a “escape from Privet Drive” set for the Order of the Phoenix wave. If they make it a bigger one, we could also get the Dursleys.
  10. Wow! That real life building is fantastic! I would love to drive by that everyday. Another great update. Always enjoy seeing the creative ways you use the sets.
  11. This is the most irritating thing about thus theme. Does LEGO not think we’re going to be grouping these together? I doubt any town has 6 or so different lampposts....I can’t understand why they don’t keep some consistency...
  12. Wow...I barely made it past those amazing roofs. Everything here is just fantastic, I love all the different plant combos. Look be the bamboo leaves paired with the stems.
  13. While I’ve since moved them, I had the Creator houses in a previous layout. I had it ‘sectioned’ off-Modulars were downtown, then had the houses for residential- even though they were close much like yours. I had the thought of it simply being a squashed together town because I didn’t have the proper space to evenly separate. I think they look pretty good where they are. You could also maybe separate the two areas by train tracks. Like the last photo in your most recent post, without knowing how much room you have back there, you could rearrange it so the tracks curve on the opposite side of the houses that they are now.
  14. Well, I’m a bit torn on B&N being the one... Glad that it will be easily obtainable, but mine has a pitiful LEGO selection, so finding something may prove difficult. Maybe they’ll be nice & just sell the packs separately. Or better yet, make the sale in anything in the store...I could do that easy.
  15. As for clouds & such, I would leave that till I have the wall painted. I’ve seen a couple layouts with just a good solid blue, and it looks good. But I’ve also seen a few with more texture. So, personal preference I suppose. Your layout looks great!
  16. Oh man, I loved The Littles! Such a great show...at least I remember it being one. Man, there are so many cartoons that I loved as a kid...a few that come to mind that weren’t mentioned, Biker Mice From Mars, Samurai Pizza Cats, & Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! Now if you’ll excuse me...I’m off to see what, if any, of the cartoons listed here are on Netflix.
  17. What I think looks best, but may not be appropriate for everyone, is a light blue paint job of the prominent wall behind your layout. That’s what I plan on doing someday....hopefully sooner rather than later. As for fabrics, assuming you have a textiles store, go there. Or any department store...I imagine you could find a good colored blanket or some such.
  18. Oof...this is a rough one. Being a big Walker fan, that moment was tough to get through. Great builds, however. The white one has some nice lines.
  19. It is a bit short...but if you bend the minifigs over somewhat, it looks good.
  20. I will say just this, people didn’t go after Sims for his opinion on the set, moreso how he portrayed that opinion & his feeling as towards the designer. Now, personally I’m a bit bummed to see the HP Bricktober pack is available at B&N...because my local one has a terrible selection of LEGO...if I could buy a book to get it, that wouldn’t be a problem!
  21. You guessing a Hogwarts would have interior is no way a validation on any upcoming set though... You’re simply making assumptions, as everyone else does.
  22. The carts could just be a Christmas time thing & not necessarily an era in history. Carriage rides seem to be a cliche Christams outing. But yes, some continuity would be nice.
  23. Great video, I always enjoy watching speed builds. For me, my favorite is a toss up between the Batwing & the Scuttler...I just love be both vehicles. Joker’s Lowrider is close too.
  24. 10211 Imperial Flagship. It’s just too beautiful, it’s a great display piece.
  25. Yeah, after I posted I took a look over at Brickset & the current stuff has had a decent shelf life. Since Tron has only been out for 4 months, I imagine Sept. 1st is safe. But still, keeping my fingers crossed.
