    Thanks for this. After seeing your picture, I realized I made the mistake in thinking the snot piece I was using was the same length as this fence piece...which it is not. That’s why had a small gap.

    How did you build the flower box? I was attempting it with the snot bricks that are similar in shape to the piece used but there’s either a gap, when I put a 2x3 plate in the middle, or not enough room for a 1x2 plate when I put 1x4 tiles on the side.

    What kind of shelf life do Ideas sets usually get? I don’t follow them too closely. I want to get 21314 Tron: Legacy, but I’m going to wait until the first of next month so I can get the Knightmare Batman Accessory pack as well. I’m assuming chances are high that the Tron set will still be there, as it’s only been out for a few months.

    Not exactly a centerpiece, but a neat idea would be to have the real world items down there. As mentioned above, the Ship in a Bottle, the chess set that is available, and depending on your budget(and how much it’s going for on the secondary market) the Ideas Maze set. I always thought that would be a fun idea, having those items on display in a room, mich like the real items get displayed.

    It’s obvious that the Express is meant to be Year 3, given the inclusion of Lupin & Dementor. Just as the Hall is Year 1, given we have the mirror & Quirrell. Both of sets have flavors, as the designer said, of other movies, like the wall to get on the platform & the addition of the Basilis, though.

    We already have year 3, Express & Willow are both from that year. Albeit the kids are too short I think...but that was likely due to wanting the debut the legs in the CMF’s.

    Star Wars...the theme that recycles the same sets every few years...yeah. I love the theme, but they have a diversifying problem. Of course the reason why they keep making them is because people know them & continue buying them. That would be the same, I believe, with HP. They could also release every single building from both Hogsmeade & Diagon Alley, SW has been no different with obscure stuff(10195 was especially obscure & high dollar). Those would appeal to more than just HP fans as they’re basically just buildings. Some may have some over the top decorations, a la Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes. The Express will undoubtably be on repeat just like any note worthy SW ship & train fans would also likely buy it.

    Not only that, but we have Quirrell, although we never saw him teaching, & Moody(you could also count Umbridge I suppose). So much re retains coukd take place in just that he set.

    Your skill continues to impress & baffle me. I always enjoy looking at what you come up with. I love those flower beds...may have to steal those.

    Can’t compare FB sets yet, but looking at Cloak Harry & jumper Harry, the glasses are the same. However, the Harry with the owl has smaller glasses.

    Has anyone thought of a way to build an obscurial? I’ve been kinda wondering how to go about it...I’m not much of a MOC’er.

    Hmm...order is random Quirrell, I just love how perfect they captured Voldemort’s face. Hermione, from the sets. This hair is, broken record, perfect for her. Snape, just because he’s my dude. Trelawney & Moody, nice to have new teachers(even though one is a rerelease-I never had the old Moody).

    For the United States(and some other parts of the world) it’s up in the air because it was a Toys R Us promo. I hope something happens with them, I want those minifigs.

    Power Rangers reboot... I was very disappointed by it. So much so that I can safely say I hated it. Nearly everything about it was bad. I get wanting to update a 20+ year old franchise...but, man. Alpha 5, Rita, Goldar, the Zords/Megazord we’re terrible, they looked like utter crap. The Rangers were half way decent. Giving the kids superpowers was dumb...as was completely changing the kids character from being good kids to bad... blah. I wanted to like, as I was & am a die hard fan of the series first iteration here in the States.

    Ordered! Got the two FB sets. I’m almost more excited to get the Niffler than I am anything else. I’ve heard good things about Grindelwalds Escape, so I’m pretty eager to build that. Now the agonizing wait begins...

    Oh, we collectors are a fickle bunch, are we not. We get more of Hogwarts than we ever have before....and it’s not enough. Anywho, serious time. I am pleasantly surprised by the details. All the rooms are great, even if the placements aren’t quite accurate. I love all the Chamber challenges(although I don’t see where the Devils Snare is?), the RoR, third floor bathroom. And the Horntail. There really is a lot to love. Oh! And the Founders are of course fantastic.

    Yes! That was a great design feature. Early on I thought of how I could stick it up on the wall...it is rather heavy so it would take a bit of doing.

    I think it’s fantastc. I have very set sans the Manor, & the Batwing is my favorite. It’s a great vehicle, very swooahable. Not that I do that anymore...I’m an adult.
