Well, we thought that back with the Fire Brigade Modular...still no sign.
-
It could still work. Aside from the, I’m sure, slight panic of having to scramble & the delay of the promotion, it went just fine from my view. I had no problem getting the HP & Marvel ones. The rollout would certainly be smoother as they would have a better plan this time around.

It has a nice, sleek shape. I really like that first shot, the straight on view. It looks pretty menacing, like it’s staring right into my soul.

Why is LEGO so obsessed with Batman?
Vindicare replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
We can add his butler to the list of media properties as well. Batman even had his own cereal. -
Man, Hot Wheels are deceptive. Being so cheap, you don’t feel bad about buying too many....then they add up. I got started on them back in 2000 when I worked at Toys R Us. All the early bird collectors would come through first thing(even when I was trying to stock the pegs). So naturally, I got fixated by it & went nuts.

Does anybody else find it hard to talk about Lego IRL
Vindicare replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in Community
I don’t really. I’ll get the occasional “is this for you?” at Target or Walmart, to which I of course say me. I have no problem talking about it if the subject of hobbies were to come up. I have one friend who is also into it, so I have one person to talk about it with, one friend who collects action figures, so he understands the toy collecting biz, & a couple friends who thinks it’s weird(but that’s mostly just teasing me I think). -
I think it’s rather that you chose a 15 year old thread to bring back. I’m assuming you searched “new sets?”
-
Haha, lets just hope they don’t rebrand it as VIP 2. Pretty sure the 18 months is new. If not, I never noticed because I always use them on January 1st. Points wise, it’s a much better deal. $100 used to be 20,000 points, where it’s 13,000 now. Old system, buy a $99.99 set you get 99 points. New, it’s 650(at least in the States). Redeeming leaves a lot to be desired though...

Hmm....no picture is showing up for you? I see the picture in both my comment & your quote of my comment.

I would say they’re 3 and/or 4. The inclusion of the animals say Year 3, but I think the hair says Year 4. Harry & Ron had the longer, wilder hair that year.

Ninjago Movie Zane’s hair. It’s pretty close to his movie look. Just don’t look at him from the back.

I thought this was going to take me back to the TMNT Playmates days of the 90’s... Great looking Dino, nice build. It has a nice hefty look to it. I like the color choices too.

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

I’m assuming, by the lack of discussion, that nothing SDCC related has shown up on the VIP Rewards page(as the rumor suggested). I can’t get into the rewards page again to check. Edit: Had to clear data again, then it loaded. Hope I don’t have to keep doing that.... Nothing Con related. -
70838 Queen Watevra’s ‘So-Not-Evil’ Space Palace I finally found a fabled Walmart clearance deal! Saw this at $49.00. Which was quite exciting because at full retail I would’ve passed on it. I have quite a few sets that are higher up on the list. But I couldn’t pass it up at that price.

This is tough, there’s so many. Modulars are what got me back into LEGO, so those will always be towards the top. Castle, both Fantasy Era & Kingdoms, are you there as well. I like be all the factions we got with Castle, and of course Medieval Market Village. Likewise with Kingdoms and the Mill Village Raid. Then there’s Harry Potter, 2010 & especially current, is fantastic. How about I just say “all?” LEGO is just one giant, all encompassing theme.

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

I say get it. I have a town set up, so that was my initial reason for buying. Then I saw the minifigs & I was definitely sold. The building opened up makes for a nice display set up for a battle scene. -

It really is. I skipped other sets in order to get every set in this theme, except the Manor. The bat vehicles are great. That very well could be. I’ve liked what Marvel has been putting out, even if the accuracy is lacking, but they don’t even come close to what HP has put out thus far. They give us the occasional great set, Bridge Battle & Sanctorum sets, are two such sets. Great builds & even better selection of minifigs. -

I love it. You nailed the shape perfectly. Great use of the axe piece for the door hinge & mirrors. -
It’s been kicking me back to the “sign in to the rewards center” page again the last few days.

I assume you mean Advent Calendar. One is coming in September.

Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Vindicare replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
That’s fair. I just need the Molten Man set, but FFH sets have been a knock out. Even the Stark Jet, which I hated when the first pictures came out. It just looked strange. I’d say the big difference with Marvel & HP is that HP has more an iconic location that makes up its set ideas. I really like the War Machine Buster, but it does lack when compared against the Egghead & Lex mechs. Those were great. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Vindicare replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
As for HP, there’s a fair number of new minifigs we could get who were left out of the covered movies so far. We could get Gilderoy Lockhart, Ginny Weasley(short legs), Tom Riddle, Moaning Myrtle, Rita Skeeter, Crabbe & Goyle(short legs), other three House Ghosts(although Hufflepuff could show up later). They could also give us the Dursley’s, which would cover three spots.
