  1. They are all valid solutions, the main problem with the servos it's the price!!!! About the LA, why did you not like it? I find it a good solutions cos you can stop it everywhere from closed to open positions.....
  2. Ok, I would use normal hubs to keep things simpler and cleaner. Any of those pins you are using could snap out due to the weight of the crane. Then, you will need different gear reductions for the steering racks (not different rack arm lengths) so when you apply the crab mode they will all go on the same directions at the same angle. With 12 axle to steer will end with a massive "gearbox" just for steering.....so if you can avoind crab steering.
  3. in a way I'm actually encouraging you to build (I said I don't like words I prefer facts) so it's ok to have a slow build...it's actually even better specially when building huge complicates cranes there is no need to rush! Also the only way to increase experience is to build and try! Anyway I do wish you good luck and again when I'll see some bricks then I'll will for sure help (where I can)
  4. LOL. why do you get angry? I think people are always too nice right because they are afraid to say things as they are! Anyway I'm not against the idea, I simply prefer poeple who "does" compared to "daydreamer". You will have all my support and I'll be happy to contribute with help when I'll see some bricks.....
  5. Sometimes to understand or to help someone to understand certain limits it's a step further. Also, sorry but there is not much suggestions we can give, simply people has to try, try and try! It's the only way! How many 12 axles crane do you see out there? probably none...so best is to start to build and then ask suggestion on "how to take it from there". otherwise concept wise there is nothing special...just put 12 axles together and a boom on it! I think it's good to ask suggestions, but on something that's actually at a reasonable level according to people's skills.... One more thing: Sariel opened a topic about useless topic: well I guess to google "12 axle crane" you don't need EB forum..... P.S. Aminnich it's ok to "do it better and more efficiently" but so far I haven't seen a brick! Just words! Maybe you should start to show something....then this post would make sense! Also a good thing would be starting with a 6 axle crane, see how it works, then from there improve it and adding axles....see what changes and how the structures react.....I never get things ar first try myself. But I try hard and before to ask I make sure I have something to ask about!
  6. No offence or hard feelings amminnich but let me say, in my opinion, you do struggle with a normal/smaller crane, why would you even try to build a 12 axle crane?? Again looks like people want to impress with huge size model....but they all fail. Instead I think it's better to make something smaller but well done, well designed, well detailed and that works well. Also you seems to change constantly your mind! This makes you insecure and it won't lead to a good final result! Simply chose something that exists in real life, take blueprints, start from there till the end. No room for indecisions! Hope sometimes you will think about my words...
  7. Much abetter effe! the only thing I would say the cabin on the superstructure looks a bit too big….specially if you compare it to the cabin of the truck itself!
  8. That's sick!!! I'm in love! Maybe would be nice a different color scheme not all black..but it's still an amazing little monster!!!!
  9. Looking cool! For the issue you have the solution is easy, you need to "trap" the axle connected to the gears of the differential (something similar used on the Arocs) then you can connect it to the wheels! You can use this part 59443 Anyway it deserve a tipping bed!!!
  10. Question; do the front wheels spin at the same speed of the rear ones? Looking cool bytheway
  11. buy some more Anyway ok keep the actual one and try to cover it a bit more effe if you want my 10 points  Very good work so far!!
  12. Although I would prefer a european cab this is going well, so far my favorite one!! Super cool effe! You rule!!! have you tired to use the square battery box? just to reduce a bit the space taken by that battery box…. (yeah I know it adds counterweight but you could use the square box with the 6 battery inside!)
  13. Super cuteeeee and yeah does the job very well!!! Love it!! If you add a rear roll cage/ roll bars would look amazing!!
  14. Oh glad you did then! can't wait fro pics! Bytheway Jim we all have been naughty boys
  15. LOL Welcome back Jim!!!!!! Hope it was really great and you've enjoyed it!!!
  16. X outriggers are more common on trucks that on mobile cranes to be fair!
  17. I'll be a bit harsh (as usual) but I think Milan knows what he is doing so he doesn't need to listen to me. For me it's just a big NO. I mean I don't see the point of making such a big model (propably to impress people more?!) Unimog wheels would have been nicer and more realistic. The wheels don't impress me at all...actually they look like those plan wheels used in the old catapults....a bit ridiculous. Crab steering it's nice, but in this case will be painfull to drive. also 2 of the axles steer at the same angle...it makes the model a bit "underdesigned" (poor or lack of). So why not having one single way to steer with proper angles on all the axles? Again seems the crab it's just to impress people more....but it's not working well so it doesn't impress me. Anyway...I'll wait till is completed to see if I can change my mind
  18. Milan as you can see small mocs are nicer than huge ones  Effe go on! You get my 10 points this time!!!!
  19. To me it's still a bit too fast but I overall I love it! Are you using the new pneumatic cylinders to tip the bed?
  20. TC8 LOL Anyway...compared to your previous creations this one looks a bit messy! Specially the boom....clean it up!!
  21. Exactly! Where are the big sets? How can it be a good christmas with just 100 pieces set??
  22. So these sets are for the 1H 2016.....what about 42050, 42052, 42053, 42054, 42055?? are they 2H 2016 then? So disappointed with the first batch anyway....
  23. this will get my vote for sure! Good start Effe!! Keep us updated!!
  24. Well to me the "brown" version looks a bit messy...I mean with the yellow I can read the shapes better! Anso I like clean simple stuff let's say!! Also the yellow is my favorite because I don't like the extra spoilers and flaps....I like the cabin to be squary, simple and effective! Anyway as usual great job! Keep it on! I wish i could come to seei it at Lego World!
  25. Hello "2Lego", great moc as usual! I do prefer the yellow cabin tho! I've always loved the T series and you made a wonderful copy of it! Please be quick with the video and then with a trailer!!
