Jim great reviews but can I suggest you one thing? Take some pics before you apply the stickers....and some with the stickers on! It helps to have a comparison!
-
Honestly, look at the 8455, 700 pieces, all manual with pneumatics, simply one of the best technic set ever….I don't see a problem with not having PF or pumps or whatsoever….so happy to participate to this new wonderful contest!!
-
The only reason why I'e asked is because in the past we already had a similar situation and in that case the mirrors weren't counted in!
-
Ok perfect, it makes sense because we already had a model team contest! I'll try to use as less bricks as I can!!
-
Also, can it be a studded design? With some resemblance to technic? Like using beams/panel here and there….
-
I understand, infact last night I've started something completely new also because this time we have more weeks to work! But still this new moc could have mirrors as it's a vehicle….so my question is still valid!
-
Here nobody is trying to find holes or playing unfair, I was just asking because I have a MOC that could suite this competition, but having side mirrors It won't pass the cubic rule! I remember few contest ago we had the size limit aswell and someone had side mirrors…they were not counted in the size limit! So ZBLJ yes you are very rude without the right to be! People ask because they want to make sure their moc will be allowed in.

[HELP] Unimog Chassis
TheItalianBrick replied to Trango's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well, one way I guess is to buy spare parts and use the instructions...then having a frame/cabin you can always use it as you want! It does have differentials, actually 3....both axles and middle one! It has reductions on the hubs, 4WD, and great suspensions. It's one of those sets that cost a fortune, but in my opinion it's always worth it!!! What sort of price are you looking to spend maximum? -
If we build a vehicle with side mirrors will they be counted in or not? Size wise I mean...

TheItalianBrick replied to Beck's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yeah fiar enough.....I do love leafsprins so I did use them in all axles! Probably for me matters a lot the "realism"....even just looking at them it makes me happy and proud! Anyway keeps up updated!! -

It's nice to see someone else also is involved in such a challenging MOC!! Looks good so far! Not huge fun of that rear axle suspension setup (mostly because it's not like the real one) but I'm sure will be an epic moc!!! Mine it's finished and soon will be posted…I think will be great for both of us to compare them!! -
Looking tidy and sturdy! That's the way I like LEGO mocs! This will be epic at the end! Please keep us posting...I follow with lots of interest! For the carrier I would go for a direct track control as it will keep everything more compact. Also, this not being something like a tank, won't need to drive around a lot....so no need of a subtractor! Great moc!!!

Then Jim please I need some suggestions on how to use the purple ones!! I think the light blue is a really nice color...sometimes there are heavy machineries in that color aswell....but at the moment my favorites are the white and blu! Would love to see more pieces in those colors! Let's hope for the 2H...
