  1. Hmmm, does Voltron count?
  2. The McLaren F1 car very much interests me (I like F1 cars but to date all we have had in Speed Champions is Mercedes and Ferrari, car brands that I don't like) And another Lambo is neat although I hope it comes in a color other than lime for once.
  3. Has LEGO ever done sets based on an anime before?
  4. Jetsons would be great. But Tom and Jerry would be even cooler to get (probably the most well known characters created by Hannah and Barbera) And then of course you have a few lesser known Hannah-Barbera characters... (anyone else remember The Snorks?)
  5. God no, definitely NOT that Teen Titans Go crap. Besides, my wish is a Cartoon Network CMF, not a DC CMF.
  6. In terms of Transformers that I want to see (G1 specifically), from the Autobot side, Sideswipe or Prowl or Trailbreaker or even Grimlock might be cool and on the Decepticon side there is Megatron, Soundwave, Starscream or Astrotrain as cool options. If they can't find a way to do Megatron without violating the "no military/weapons" policy then Soundwave would be the obvious best pick for a Decepticon (since he is 100% not military or a weapon)
  7. I would love to see Looney Tunes series 2 to give us the characters we didn't get last time. But given that the previous Looney Tunes series wasn't exactly a smash hit and given how many of the main missing characters are potentially controversial (Elmer Fudd with his hunting rifle, Yosemite Sam with his six shooters, Pepe Le Pew and his constant attempts to sexually harass a cat that doesn't want anything to do with him, maybe Foghorn Leghorn and his Southern stereotypes) I doubt we will ever see one. In terms of dream licensed CMFs, Cartoon Network would be up there with characters like the Kids Next Door or Dexter and Didi or the main characters from Regular Show. Or Nickelodeon with characters from the likes of Rugrats, Fairly Odd Parents or the like.
  8. Spotted a few of the January parts at the Dreamworld LEGO store today. None of the stuff in the new pictures (polar bear head etc). Couldn't find enough of the parts I wanted (like the dark red Santa suit) to justify picking up a pack though.
  9. Personally I am hoping for the frog in olive green, that would be really cool for some future projects...
  10. I wouldn't call "digging up prehistoric arctic creatures" sci-fi. (there have absolutely been real-world instances of preserved Mammoths and things being discovered and dug up)
  11. Some of these IPs may in fact be "LEGO can't get the license", some may be "this is too similar to products LEGO already sells" (e.g. Naruto being potentially too similar to Ninjago or the various modular building projects), some may be "this is too similar to products already in the planning stages" (e.g. Concorde projects being rejected because LEGO was doing their own), some may be "LEGO can't do this because it conflicts with something else LEGO have a license for", some may be "LEGO don't think the business case stacks up" (e.g. due to that universe not having had any new content recently or due to recent content not being popular enough or even just "LEGO thinks xyz will sell better than this"), some may be "we can't make this work in LEGO or it would require too many new pieces to be viable" and some may be ":LEGO don't think this fits with the LEGO brand" (e.g. maybe they have decided that the Stargate projects submitted at this point don't fit the brand)
  12. Its clear that LEGO (at least as of late) is to some extent picking ideas that will draw in fans who aren't specifically LEGO fans. Things like the BTS set, the Polaroid set, the Saturn V Rocket, the Twilight set, the typewriter, the globe, the piano, the Stratocaster, Home Alone, Hocus Pocus, Van Gogh and others.
  13. YES to gorillas. Tiger maybe. Red panda, don't care about that.
  14. Wildlife did have a polybag.
  15. I want a hippo. Also YES YES YES to gorillas.
  16. Yeah there is no way Disney would give a competitor the license just because LEGO aren't making sets for a while until new content appears.
  17. I would love the Wreck-It-Ralph set, I love that movie. Also the IKEA store (my house is full of IKEA stuff :)
  18. I don't have a problem with lime green, I just want some variety given that we have gotten so many lime green Lambos already.
  19. I wish we got some space sets that were more true sci-fi (ala the space sets of the 90s) and less "this is what NASA could be doing a couple decades from now"...
  20. New Lamborghini single pack? Yes please, I want that (unless its yet another lime green Lambo in which case I may not bother). Yellow or orange would be great, as would something different like purple,
  21. I love the police station, its my favorite out of all the modulars. I would love to see more medical stuff in future modulars (we got a dentist in the Assembly Square, how about a doctor or even an optometrist) A hospital doesn't seem likely (although if they did one it would be instant "shut up and take my money")
  22. I gaurantee you that Games Workshop (who make the LOTR tabletop stuff) would see LEGO LOTR figures as direct competition.
  23. I believe there is a license clause that limits what LEGO can do in terms of figure packs and minifigs and stuff because of the license held by Games Workshop for the LOTR tabletop RPG stuff. That's why sets like the Uruk-Hai Army have so much brick content compared to even a Star Wars battle pack.
  24. The McLaren F1 car is the one Speed Champions set in 2024 that I might be interested in. Zero interest in an Audi, a Mustang or a pair of BMWs. (unless hell freezes over and they make a BMW M1 into a Speed Champions set...)
  25. So many many wonderful projects they could have picked and we get what? A set that Friends basically did already (great set, I own it, but we definitely don't need another one IMO) and a set based on a stupid vampire movie series. (and one who's target audience is not exactly the prime target audience for either toy products or adult-targeted collector products...) Why not something like Bluey (one of the most popular shows for little kids right now)? Or the moon poster (to go with the whole Space thing they are doing this year) Although its entirely possible there are IPs on the list they tried to get a license for but couldn't (for example Moose Toys may have an exclusive license for Bluey toys)
