LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
jonwil replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I would definitely like to see more police in the CMF line, the ones we have gotten in the past are interesting and somewhat different from the generic police we get in City sets. -
I found plenty of Series 26 at a number of different Target stores here in Queensland and none of those had an obscured code.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

The thing with Elmer is that IIRC WB themselves have moved away from the character (or at least from the character as someone who uses a gun). Same with Yosemite Sam and his 6-shooters I believe. -
Bought another 6 of these, got the nurse, white astronaut and blacktron guy in the first batch then a 3rd imposter, a 3rd m-tron guy and a 2nd UFO costume in the second batch. Definitely want at least one more ice planet guy as well as the one with the dog, the chef, the Orion fig and the insect one. I am disappointed with the head they used for the Ice Planet Explorer, IMO they should have gone with a head that called back to https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3626bp65 with the earrings.

Snagged the sun/earth/moon set today, its been an interesting build so far and definitely different. -
Its a Nokia C02 and I can't find any zoom or macro or "focus in close" options anywhere. Tried all the scanning apps and websites I can find, none work.

Bought 9 of these blind. First batch of 3 was 3x alien tourist. Second batch was mtron guy, human suit and UFO headgear guy, third batch was mtron guy, ice planet guy and human suit. Happy that I got the 2 mtron guys and the ice planet guy as that was what I really wanted for my current Space display.

Finally managed to find some of these here in Australia today. But sadly it seems that the camera on my phone (low-end Nokia Android) can't focus on objects that are that close which means none of the scanning apps (LEGO or generic) can scan the data codes :( I kind of thought that I could just compare the data matrix codes on different boxes to find the 12 that are unique and buy those but I checked the barcodes on an entire box of 36 figs (which appeared to be untouched) and I couldn't find any that matched each other...

Personally I am more interested in the unknown "watercraft" that we have a credible leak for. -

Looney series 2 or Sesame Street would both be series I would buy the entire set of. -

Bought both Simba sets yesterday and I just finished assembling the small one and its amazing. Looking forward to assembling the big one :) I haven't built it yet but the big Simba may well end up getting my vote for the best set of 2024. -
I don't think there are any details out there but I believe that something to do with how LEGO and Nickelodeon parted ways previously means that LEGO and Nick will not work together in the future (which rules out this set from being made)

Finally managed to track the new BaM parts down at the Robina LEGO store yesterday. Picked up the Futuron style torso, the cowboy legs, the construction worker legs, 2 of the skyline sunglasses head, the trans-blue book cover, the cowboy hat and 2 of the double bass as well as some older parts

Unless something has changed license wise (and I doubt it has) a LOTR CMF is not possible. The license held by Games Workshop for that Warhammer lord-of-the-rings thing limits what LEGO can do with minifigs in sets. Its why https://brickset.com/sets/9471-1/Uruk-Hai-Army has so much brick content compared to the minifigs (even compared to, say, a Star Wars battle pack) and why there can't be any sets from LEGO that make it easy to army-build. -
I bought the Gorilla polybag yesterday and its great. The baby gorilla, some other great parts plus a neat minifig (and now I have the medical torso from last year's exploration sets)

If they did another Disney CMF, I would like to see all the Disney Princesses that have yet to show up in minifig form. Also Wreck-It-Ralph stuff would be cool to see. And yes to inside out as well (although I suspect if we did get Inside Out figs we would probably get one of the ones from the new movie like Anxiety rather than just the OG movie ones) -
Neat, it looks like the printed blueprint tile in the crane is the blueprints for the robot coaster.

I voted for Dark Azure although I would be OK with Magenta as well. -

The flagship this year is supposedly a McLaren (probably whatever the latest "if you have to ask what it costs, you can't afford it" hypercar McLaren wants to promote is) We do still have the G Class Benz and the reported "watercraft" -

That worm gear first showed up in the 2023 Police Academy I believe. -

I think Dark Azure could look interesting as a new color CS astronaut. -
I am a little disappointed that they changed from a Siamese to a Tuxedo Cat. But I can see why they did it (the Tuxedo Cat has more of that "cuteness" factor and its a lot more popular and well known so it will sell better)

Do we have any news on the "watercraft" that we are supposedly getting? -
Is the flask a new color? Its hard to tell from the photos if it is or not.

Since it isn't a licensed set, there is a fairly high chance any special/rare/exclusive parts from this set (e.g. the alien or the sign) will appear on LEGO online PaB for sale at some point (where you will probably be able to get them for much lower cost than buying the entire set)
