Thank you for all your kind comments, i've glanced over them. But unfortunately I am not able to answer them yet due to a severe cold.

So this is my latest tank. It is a development of my previous tank, the Blacktron Liberator. The Liberator is very fast and fun to play with, but it also has plenty of shortcomings. With this build I tried to eliminate those shortcomings and at the same time be a little more purist: the only non-LEGO item in this build is a Buwizz brick. However this tank is not controlled by the Buwizz app. Instead I've tested @imurvai's BrickController app with this MOC (see video). And that proved to be a very positive experience. Ever since I've been playing around with Sbricks and Buwizz bricks one thing (well more than one thing to be honest) has bothered me, and that is the lack of any physical feedback. When I am playing with a MOC I am usually looking at it, not at the app on my smartphone. And so it can easily happen that my fingers lose touch with the controls without meaning to. This is totally not an issue when using a gamepad :). The MOC is powered by 2 XL motors for drive and 2 M motors for rotation, elevation and shooting. Functions: - Working torsion-bar suspension - Shooting; - Driving; - Turret rotation; - Gun elevation; Very roomy tank for minifigs :) Of course I've also made a video: Hope you will like it!

I think he is getting worked up because instead of taking him seriously you seem to be making light of the situation. While I think you know that in essence he is correct. Personally I would have cut the staff of EB some slack for the reasons you mentioned, which are obvious for anyone who stops to think about them.

[APP] BrickController2
Kelkschiz replied to imurvai's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Controlling with a wireless bluetooth controller is highly recommended. As far as I know that is what this app was designed for. There is an interface for control without but that is very basic, not suited to control complex MOCs with. In any case using a bluetooth controller has many advantages and doesn't have to be expensive: I bought a very basic one for a couple of euro's.- 1,316 replies

[APP] BrickController2
Kelkschiz replied to imurvai's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The core functionality of this app is amazing. For me it has much more useful functionality than either the Sbrick or the Buwizz app, so it has become indispensable. Looking forward to upcoming updates. Also it was a lot of fun to test!- 1,316 replies

Looks very Blacktronny to me, GJ.

Very nice collections of ships, enjoyed looking at them. Impressive amount of detail considering the scale. Most of them look like they might fit well in the Homeworld universe.

My main camera is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300 which costs around €450. For the money it's a very feature rich bridge camera, it shoots in 4k video amongst other things. I also use a ThiEYE T5e which is a very nicely performing 4k actioncam. It costs around €90.

Totally awesome. Love the overall design with the eagle shape and details everywhere. It has a very unique look and also great use of parts! Does the top section disconnect so it can function as a fighter as well?

Great colour combination and gunship shape, also very nice texturing.

Both attracted and repulsed by this. Not something I would do but definitely fun to watch :). I wish though TLG would give some more love to Technic boating enthusiasts. Instead of always focusing on land vehicles.

Very fun review to read Jim, thanks for all your hard work! I am a little in two minds about this set. I also recently viewed the review below (which is in German). And it contained a long list of items that could have been done better with this set. Most of which I agree with. In the end however I am still likely to buy this set because I have to have those rims and tires as well as some other parts for my MOCs.

After voting the pole disappeared. No results showing. Win 10 using Chrome. Also get very long loading and not loading pages. -
The right looks far more 'right' to me.

[MOC] Blacktron Blackbird C3 frigate class spaceship
Kelkschiz replied to Kelkschiz's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Thanks Moviemocs, it was my first attempt at a composition photo and it worked out wonderfully with a background made by GrahamGT over on DeviantArt. Thanks Istakaciti, at first I was planning to use those for a Blacktron base but I found out they make a very lovely wedged shaped profile piece as well. I think it makes the build look a bit more utilitarian, which I like. -

Thank you both for your absolutely lovely comments. You two really put a smile on my face :).
