The Algus Saga: Midsummer in the Clandlands (mead series IV)
MassEditor replied to kabel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Kabel, I'm afraid this winter weather is really starting to get to you... I'm starting to think you need a vacation in the Sahara! Seriously though, this is another beautiful build! Love the continuation of the mead story and what I assume is a tie-in to those ominous going-ons you Mitgards seem to have planned! Beautiful landscaping too, love the green and dark grey combo and how well it depicts a sunny Mitgardian day. The turf house and the off-angle way it is built into the mountainside is splendid too. Also love the drunk, passed out guys. Makes me think of some fun camping trips I've taken! I'll have a beer to this build (no mead yet )! Proost mein freund! -
Thanks man, I'll admit, this was a nice break! Thanks my friend, still waiting on you to build something in Nocturnus!!! Haha, thanks dG! My builds were starting to look like they came from the mind of a very depressed person!

Fantastic builds, I feel as if you are walking in the footsteps of a great builder, and that's awesome! (Watch out SK!) Anyways, each build here is lovely and a beautiful, unique take on Kaliphlin architecture/landscaping. The purple awnings in the first build really work well, and I love the techniques used for the city gate. The jail, however, really takes the show for me. The tan/light gray combo is wonderful and I love the addition of an interior (so much detail packed in there!). Each one of these builds is truly deserving of its own topic! So cool to see you over here, looks like you're going to make an awesome contribution around these parts!

Excellent Slegengr, you are a great builder and storyteller - I love to see your MOCs! (Glad you got the moving all sorted out ). This build has so much mood it almost looks like a real-life still. Beautiful landscaping, the fleeing animals is a great touch and really helps sell the story. The microscale ships and forced perspective are also perfectly done. Like mrcp6d said, quite ominous! I've been wondering what those frozen faces are about after seeing them on Flickr... looks like y'all got something awesome in the works!

I've noticed some talk on the forum lately about the lack of storytelling in GoH these days. This build certainly counters some of that concern! Wonderful story, SK, very engaging and humorous. The build, of course, sets a beautiful scene. The interior shots are, as usual, elegant and really bring the build to life. The various furniture pieces and interior decor really are fantastic. The exterior is awesome as well, I've never seen such a SNoT design, or at least not on such a scale. Works great! The corner archery slit is brillant, as are the roofs and the dark orange leaves on top! Stellar build and story here, very much enjoyed it!

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
MassEditor replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Nocty's been on fire here lately! New members, awesome builds... I can already feel 2015 being the year of Nocturnus! -
Sheer bad-assery here LV, you did a wonderful job with the battle scene! An epic battle and great story! The posing is wonderful and those craggy outcrops look great. Love the microscale Shadowmere too! IC: You recall a time of which I am not proud. I was just another solider following orders for what I thought was my people's best hopes. How wrong I was. Hopefully there is a chance we can overcome these differences, however brutally they came about. The free races of Nocturnus must stand together if we wish to topple the Black Spire!

Great continuation of the story and another beautiful build! Love all the vegetation here - that palm tree in particular is excellently done. The sarcophagus looks amazing too.

Lovely build, so many beautiful details. The chandelier and rounded room are very well done. All around excellent build! The free people of Nocturnus pledge a moment of silence to remember one of Historica's most revered men.

So, we don't hear from you and then find out you're carousing around with the tight wearers? Saddened that you can't go flower picking in Nocturnus without getting poisoned? Seriously though, lovely build as usual. The dark orange works well here, especially with all the great wood trimming everywhere. The water trough-wheel-ox area is a definite highlight here. Really nifty border here too!

HSS Craftsmen/Merchant Specialty: Dwarven Jewelry in Sionnach
MassEditor replied to de Gothia's topic in Guilds of Historica
Woah, beautiful build de Gothia, my favorite of your recent Sionnach builds! The sand green roof looks great with the light bley of the building, and the whole build is nicely laid out with the inner courtyard. Fantastic work! -
Thanks again guys for the comments and suggestions!

Thanks Captain Braunsfeld, I think folks may just be surprised that I can build other things! Thanks SK, glad you noticed the trellis! Yes, I've definitely got an itching to do some building in Avalonia and Mitgardia. I've built landscapes in both guilds but I really want to build a few structures as well. Thanks Jakorin! Thanks RA! I appreciate that Gideon, especially since your wonderful Barqa builds really inspired this. Yes, it was a ton to fun to build (a lot more so, I must admit, than a few of my recent Nocty builds!). Haha, thanks ME! Thanks Dan, glad you liked it! Thanks Kabel! Yes, there are some wonderful Kali builders out there, and some great inspiration.

Nice little scene and awesome group of Nocty ruffians. As mentioned before, the upside down dark green plate works perfect for your idea and the landscaping is very interesting. Keep it up man!

[MOC] – Freebuild – The Wedgwood House
MassEditor replied to cesbrick's topic in Guilds of Historica
Beautiful my friend! Somehow, after all your great builds, you're still able to outdo yourself... very impressive! The various woodwork on the house is fantastic and really kicks up the level of realism to this build. The sweeping roof, color palate and trees are also fantastic. one of my favorites from you, though I'm still waiting on you to do a Nocty build!! -
Wow, this just looks better every time I see it... so much going on here to appreciate! The whole market scene is incredibly lively and has some great brickwork to boot. That red1x1 round brick roof looks fantastic especially with the dark red bits mixed in. The grand view of Thorshaven looks amazing, I hope to get a chance to see this beauty in real life one day!

Thanks everyone, glad you liked this foray out of the Darklands! No doubt my heart is still in Nocturnus! Thanks Sarah! I was thinking desert rose or some other plant that doesn't need much water.
-
Great figs and descriptions, the Mitgards in particular stand out here. I've been worrying about the same thing myself, and it gets harder and harder the longer I wait. There is so much, eh, "inspiration" already out there that when I finally get around to doing my series, it'll probably look like a copy of everyone's.

A delightful story with a cool scene to back it up. Nice looking dragon and great fig posing - the first shot really sells the story. Love the pile of treasure too!

At Amortug's Gates and Entrance to Wealth
MassEditor replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Beautiful architecture, some of the photos here are really great. I love how you're sharing a bit of Amortug each week, as awesome as it was all together it's been great getting a chance to view each section separately. The crenallation is just superb, and the stables are a definite highlight too. Nice job with those heavy wooden gate doors and, well, everything else too! -

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion
MassEditor replied to ZCerberus's topic in Guilds of Historica
Lord Mortis, we hardly knew ye! I hope that was just one of many of his clones! New freebuild for the glory of Nocturnus, about Kaliphlin... http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=104876 -
Life in the deserts of Kaliphlin isn't always easy, but at least the fruit grows year-round and the sun always shines. ----------------------------- Hey everyone! I needed to escape the dark and depressing Nocty atmosphere for a bit and finally got around to getting a Kaliphlin build done. Kinda like Kabel and his mead series, I've been anticipating warmer weather and thought the Kali desert would be a nice place to be right now. Obviously a lot of Kaliphlin builders influenced this one, but I thank Gideon in particular for his outstanding and inspiring builds. I felt a little lost trying to detail the landscape properly, so forgive me if a few spots look a little bare. Anyways, nothing particularly exciting going on in the scene above, just some Kali residents enjoying the lovely weather. Thanks for looking!

Age of Mitgardia - Farm Phase 3 - The Aker Farm
MassEditor replied to mccoyed's topic in Guilds of Historica
I love how you took these various builds and combined them into one sweet farming scene. I have to admit these kind of quite, rural farming scenes are among my favorites in GoH. Anyways, a lot of little details to appreciate, I especially like that tiny footbridge over the river by the chicken coop.
