  1. Thanks for the comments!
  2. Beautiful! The use of minifig legs to create those windows was brilliant! Awesome job.
  3. Such awesome architecture! I really like the gables.
  4. Thanks! Yeah in my measurements I estimated the gates would have to be around six feet long to get close to minifig scale. Maybe one day!
  5. Beautiful scene! You did an awesome job with that door!
  6. Thanks PCVANDO! I have to admit, the game has really got me interested into the lego ship world! Im glad you like the ram, I'm honestly unsure about it haha. Not really practical, especially on a ship this small, but it gives it kinda a unique look. Here is a pic of the (very simple) mortars: mortars by MassEditor, on Flickr I'd love to see what kind of mortars you had in mind. I struggled to come up with something simple but with the caliber deserving of this weapon.
  7. Thanks Kolonialbeamter! Sure, I'd love to share! And as far as the drool bit goes, so far so good! :) actually, after looking at the builds and WIP you've posted around here, you should worry more about my drooling! Thanks! but yes she is too short. Fortunately the hull style I used can be easily added to some I'm gonna try to give her some more length - and more cannons! :) Thanks Cousarmy0001! Thanks AB! Yes, I was wondering if anyone would notice where I got some of my inspiration! I appreciate your comments sir! Unfortunately the interiors are not accessible. I promise you wouldn't want to see them anyways, it's a mess in there! :) Thanks Lasse! I've been drooling over your builds all morning!
  8. Wow, such a fantastic castle - really like the interior and beds, such a great touch. Also, I love the use of the minifig stands for the roof, what an excellent use of parts. The snot rockwork is superior. This is great!
  9. Awesome, so many details packed in here. I love how well the polar bear blends in with the scene, it would be a nasty surprise for anyone who didn't see it coming - like me! Good job. Also, where in the world did you get that seagull?
  10. Hey, thanks for the interest! I made a new topic with a few pics, it's still not quite done though so don't mind the missing pieces here and there :)
  11. After a couple of requests I thought I'd share this MOC, which honestly still sits on my table as a work in progress: the Morannon, Gate of Udun, built of indomitable black stone and a symbol of fear to the free races of Middle Earth. She's not quite done so don't mind a missing piece here to there! :) Although nowhere near true mini-fig scale, I tried to give this MOC as much size as I could. Eventually I would like to expand the gate to include the Two Towers of Teeth and really capture the scope of this grim fortification. Also, the gate does open and close. Several caves run through the mountains in this set, complete with blacksmiths, armories, slave quarters, a lair for Shelob, several ballistae and a group of orcs enjoying Mordor's liquor reserves. The fell beast was inspired by another I've seen built. Sorry, I've had a tough time getting some decent photos between the color and size. Honestly, this build keeps getting uglier the longer it sits on my desk so I'm not sure if it'll ever truly be completed! There's a few more pics here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/94545380@N06/ Any comments or criticism are certainly appreciated. Thanks for taking a peak! 13. So elegant, wow this is one of the nicest model sailing ships I've ever seen - lego or otherwise. This is definitely inspiring!
  14. Thanks! Yeah she looks like the short school bus as far as sailing ships go haha. When I get ahold of more dark brown slopes I'd like to try this hull style on a larger size ship.
  15. Absolutely gorgeous! The hull is awesome, and really like the color scheme!
  16. [pid][/pid] 158A Wow, first off I have to say there are some amazing ships in this thread. I can hardly believe the talent of the builders on this site. Anyways, as my first post I wanted to share this 18th century sailing ship I just completed. She turned out stubbier looking than I had hoped for, so I dubbed her the HMS Bulldog. A 12-gun sloop, she also carries a pair of mortars and a naval ram. I've cobbled together a few sailing ships together, but this is the first time's I've gone with a 100 percent brick-built hull and custom rigging. Not the prettiest tub on the high seas but I think she turned out alright. I'm gonna try to work on some sails but I plan to build a scene with her at dock, so she won't need them I suppose. Might just keep her naked haha! Thanks for taking a peek! -Patrick P.S., I have some more pics of this ship on my flickr page, http://www.flickr.co...s/94545380@N06/ HMS Bulldog 12 by MassEditor, on Flickr HMS Bulldog 10 by MassEditor, on Flickr
