Technic 2018 Set Discussion
jorgeopesi replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I agree with Jim, I am the first disappointed but my level of demand is not fair, every year brings new children without idea about Technic so Lego doesn't need to improve itself every year. -

Another year without Technic for me... . -
Great MOC with great and long video, we have to create a subforum for elavorated movies, I feel that a regular MOC with great video, it is not this case, will be better than an incredible MOC without it.

Technic 2018 Set Discussion
jorgeopesi replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The best pic of the thread. The Mack truck has to be a master piece or this year will be the worst I have ever seen. Maybe if it is my problem for exigent, I sincerely hope it's that. -

You are right bad advice, if those are the wheels the machine will be huge maybe too much. -

Medium Size Mining Dumper
jorgeopesi replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The dumper is finished but the work continues... Anybody knows where is the new big pump in the MLCAD?, the one you can see is the old yellow in blue... -
Medium size mining truck
jorgeopesi replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well I think this one is too small, my previous one has a more similar scale with the Terex but I also think that its arm doesn´t arrive as high as it should to can load it. -
Medium size mining truck
jorgeopesi replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for the all nice comments, I know I can bulid better stairs but the same happens every part of the MOC, I needed to finish it in order to build another things I think I am was getting closer to the never ending building history . -
This is the finished MOC if you want see the construction process go to this thread construction process. In the beginning the truck had to be very simple but everything was getting complicated , now we have a 2 cylinders engine, pendular rear suspension and independent front one, pneumatic bed and hand of god steering with steering wheel. Currently I am making instructions and will cost 3 euros because they will be my first for sale so it is special offer . I hope you like even not being a supercar .

Medium Size Mining Dumper
jorgeopesi replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I toke your advice . Thanks. I think it is enough, I found another problem and is all mine, I don´t know how to finish it I always see another way to build or change or improve it so this is the end I want to build another things. I will make better pics, a video and the instructions, I think to sell them for 3 euros, what do you think?, I won´t be a rich man but all my work will have a litlle reward , in the case I sell more than one . -
It is a nice car but I preffer this... I only build cars for take a rest between machines, sorry for the off-topic.

I found a pic and it seems that the Ford GT is easy to do , I thought it would be as its big brothers but not, anyway I think that build realistic openable parts it is a challenge and makes a better MOC, if my F40 could be done reasonabily, any car can be done in a upper scale. If you continue to learn with each car you will have to give classes . Yesterday I found another pic with a big trunk but surely I confused with the old one.
-
One question Lox Lego, have you considered building realistic functional hoods and trunks?, working at your scale it has to be easy.

Medium Size Mining Dumper
jorgeopesi replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I like the dark grey but I don´t have enough pieces for a entire chassis so will be black or yellow. I have done some progress but I think I am losing concept, I reinforze the rear axle but I think it was not necessary, the dumper is symmetric and has a lid that opens to use the pump but makes the center very wide and uses many pieces, I wonder if it would be better the pump uncovered. I got something good at least, the bed is extracted by extracting only three axes. -
[WIP] Tigercat Skidder
jorgeopesi replied to agrof's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I tried to build this type of machines several times but I couldn´t because the wheels aren´t big enough, they are very narrow machines and I would need huge wheels in order to have enough room between the wheels, have you considered to use the class wheels?. It is nice build generic machines but in the end it has always something left but I never know what...
