Caterpillar 990
jorgeopesi replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Another improvements. The trasmision now goes before the rear axle so now I have a entire world for the rest of the components, but I have one little problem of much speed I will have to fix it in some place. I putted portal axle horizontally to gain space for the z-lnkage and have more power but like I said before I still have too much speed. I improved again the z-linkage at last we have the perfect movement, it can carry the load with the arm in any position and of course download it. The narrow is the best and hard to build feature of the MOC. I tried the small motor for the steering with a 20th gear clutch with a 8th gear and everything is perfect, power and with the perfect speed, now 2 small motors with 2 pneumatic autovalves, the battery and the terrorific aesthetics...- 59 replies

42083 - Bugatti Chiron
jorgeopesi replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I have done several cars most of them in 1:10 scale and I never have had problems with my suspensions always working with only one spring, sometimes after the first configuration I have changed things to improve the working but in a 1:8 scale cars with 2 springs ans soo many space I still don´t understand at all this type of problems and I can say exactly the same with the gearbox. I learned a lot when I was a child with the Lego gearboxes and I feel that the child of today won´t can say the the same. Time ago Technic wasn´t just about aesthetics, the showcases are doing a lot of damage to those who play. -

All the weight of the back part of the car falls on two angled liftarms ?, they are easily broken parts in my experience or maybe I use them too many times... -
Thank you, I was looking for a video like this, very interesting feature. IMO the Lego wheels are the best option even giving worst presence, we both pay a lot of attention to the functions but you much more than me to the aesthetics so I understand your problem.

It is always a pleasure to see him building machinery even using these wheels, I have to take a closer look to this bucket, I didn´t know that it had mechanism.

I wish the new interesting parts are good medicine for incoming dark ages... they are already doing something so... -
Medium Size Mining Dumper
jorgeopesi replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think is an ability and a curse because sometimes I do not advance because I feel I can do even better, in a small MOC you reach optimization but in a big one the simple despair. You are right, the truth is that in such little truck we have 5 of those panels maybe in black would be better, now I can change the MLCAD . -
Medium Size Mining Dumper
jorgeopesi replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The only thing my semi or pre dark-ages allows me to do is play with MLCAD, so I almost have the instructions of the functional MOC. Now I can dismantle the truck and wait for inspiration... anyway I will leave the instructions here in case someone wants to see its construction, I think it is a hard, functional and playable truck. I would have to put tubes, pneumatic switch, steering wheel and some aesthetics... -
Very nice buckets, when I have build one I always have tried with the one with more panels for functionality and playability.

I saw years ago a brickshelf page working with the same concept, the narrow in machinery always will be a problem while Lego still doing their so width wheels. I found it but many pics are not longer there, a pity... Brickshelf member iipsa.

I already knew that the wheels would be bad but the piece of the brakes is directly laughing at least there are the oranges... -

IMO it is smaller than the Porsche and having a big fake engine I think you will have something more detailed than a Racers set with functions in the 8070 style. -

Neither Technic nor Model Team in the middle of nowhere and with too many pieces but this is the new Lego and it is made for the people of this time. -

It is not much range but the real heavy duty fork lifts have the same range more or less. -
[MOC] Trial Contest Truck
jorgeopesi replied to paave's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It is a pleasure to see such a great trial contest like this and great MOC. Nowadays a trial truck is the essence of my technic style, hardness, playability in just aesthetics. -
These beauty machines can´t be properly represented with Lego, there are too much functions and no space, I would never try to build one with more than 4 or 5 axles but you are doing an awesome work so maybe you make me change my opinion.
