  1. A lot of things to say, pendular suspension with stops to prevent the wheels can touch somewhere, independent front suspension with short travel, 2 cylinders fake engine, special linkage for the tilting bed (WIP), steering wheel (WIP) and pneumatic circuit (WIP) that will be a nightmare... At the moment we have some modular parts and very easy to separate, wheels, rear axle, main frame with front axle, pneumatics and fake engine and secundary frame with the bed and the special linkage, 4 parts in total that make the construction more easy for me for add changes and for everybody to build it.
  2. The MOC is very nice but the video deserves an entire thread itself.
  3. You are right . This MOC is being more fun than expected because it gives much to think, the final rear axle is the most strong type I could do so it has pendular suspension. It is very modular and I have done most difficult part... two L pneumatic cylinders with special linkage to the bed because they are not long enough. I am still thinking in the steering and the air, in the pic the pump is connected to the drive axle but It could be better to make a crank somewhere and put a fake one cylinder engine, if it fits . Sorry about the pics, you know me guys... I will never change.
  4. Another type of rear closed axle.
  5. Another nice progress, pendular rear axle robust and functional, use the turntable is a great idea but what would happen without it?, I could gain a stud, we will see how it ends. Thank you for the nice comments I always try to do my best and I hope some idea will be usefull for somebody. For me the challenge is to build small, you learn a lot and you get to the big constructions with many good lessons learned.
  6. Playing with suspensions... crazy enough or not?, it works very good normal springs were very big for this scale, I am working in the rear axle too.
  7. You are right again, I will try again.
  8. I love what you've worked for a realistic width, I am one of those who consider it fundamental for a good MOC. I would love to see many more pics below MOCs as yours, you can see the Technic work done much better.
  9. Small turntable tried, it works but I can only use 1 turntable, so the rear axle is too unstable, but using 2 of them can be a great solution for another small MOC. My goal now is to choose the type of truck and make a preliminar body to know the space that I will have, probably will be a small dumper because they have large cabin and smaller wheels in proportion to the large ones, I will need all the space that I can get, another big problem will be where to put the hand of god steering, maybe a small steering wheel inside the cabin would be an option, we will see. Maybe something similar. I always build in miniature but sometimes my MOCs are too much miniatures together . Skill? no my friend... skill would be to finish just 1 of each 5 MOCs started .
  10. Balljoint idea is difficult I don't have space for the rods or good place for the pneumatic cylinders, small turntables maybe a good idea I have to try, first time I use this hubs and the steering is very good.
  11. In fact in my bigger dumper I did it but in this case doing it the axles would slide off the differential with the wheels, I want robust MOCs over all.
  12. My goal as usual is a strong and playable MOC, I think it will have steering, fake engine and a pneumatic tilting bed. I am not sure with the suspension, it works fine but I don´t like having it only on the front wheels. I like the sturdy and narrow rear axle and the parts that prevent the axle of the front wheels from sliding in.
  13. Thanks it is a great and small MOC, impossible for me because I always want less fragile MOCs but anyway awesome drive axle. I think it will be the last chassis, suspension works perfect, it is strong and enough fast to be playable but it has a bad point, low ground clearance, I could fix it I would raise the center of gravity and lose the simplicity of the MOC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UapcYS3z_m4&feature=youtu.be
  14. Awesome car, congratulations for a great work .
  15. You are right in everything I have a lot of work to do yet which far from displeasing me I love. Can I see more pics of your avatar?, this truck looks very small.
  16. More progress I am happy with the small size but I have some problems with the CV joints, the steering ones fall off sometimes and the another ones fall off too but I know why, I have too much suspension travel in the axles but it is easy to fix it. I have to improve the chassis I want less pieces. I have had a great idea using a 5,5 axle with a spring in the cv joints would be constantly tightened I would lose some travel suspension but it would help me with the other problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cZiSQ7l9rQ&feature=youtu.be
  17. I tried diferent types and the better was shock absorbers, it has a sweet and soft travel but nothing is decided yet, I am thinking to move them horizontaly with rods I think I saw a kamaz MOC with that configuration. In the end I really don't need to move them because it is a dakar truck and you won't see them but it is for have fun. Clutch gears are for my break motors son, I will studied the torsion axle and the 5L arms.
  18. Of course it helps, I had same shock absorbers configuration than yours but it wasn´t work good in different position, I will try again putting the shock absorbers like you. My problem is always the room, the axles are very narrow.
  19. A small chassis and a few questions, universal or cv joint?, shock absorbers or leaf springs?, I wanted to avoid the panhard rod if is possible. Drive axles are robust and very difficult to dismantle withot remove axles, in the end it will be a kind of small truck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLvIK8Xj-tQ&t=0m0s
  20. Great video and explanation it is pleaxure to watch it .
  21. It is a great but old idea, first time I saw something similar was in a MOC of Mahjqa years ago from then many of us have tried to improve the idea, Zbiczasty did it too in his Komatsu D575.
  22. I am very proud of these tracks so I didn´t dismantle them, they have dust , the size is always for me the smallest I can get being playable and strong.
  23. Ok it is time to share ideas, I was building this awesome machine and I built the body and the tracks but I got tired... Someone interested or inspired?, it is a P&H 2650CX Hybrid shovel and it is a real monster beauty.
