  1. 41999 price has stabilized at around $320 to $350… Although it does have PF's, this shows that there is a market for sets in this price range.
  2. Some notes on the scale, with numbers from the Porsche website for 911 GT3 RS and LEGO press release Porsche vs. LEGO height : 1291 mm vs. 17 cm : 7.59:1 length : 4545 mm vs. 57 cm : 7.97:1 width : 1880 mm vs. 25 cm : 7.52:1 Overall very close in all three dimensions, but the LEGO model is a higher and wider than the actual car, relative to the length, being about 1 cm too high and 1,5 cm too wide. Not that I am complaining.
  3. Here is a Model Team entry - functions, the wheels turn - 9 parts total (sorry, no BI yet)
  4. Ackk, blue axle-pin connectors and blue 3L pins in view - I would have thought Porsche would have insisted on changing those to black (us 16 years and older folks can handle similar parts of the same color). Otherwise, likely a must-buy - when will we see reviews?
  5. I think its more to keep up with the competition - as you can get any number of well finished toy truck models, some quite intricate with many features, at similar or even much lower price points. Add the appeal that you are buying a well finished and designed/detailed LEGO model, and you may be willing to pay a premium.
  6. What I usually do is get the inventory from Rebrickable or some other place, and just pack all of the elements from your set(s) into a master "my parts" LDD file, which in my case now has about 10,000 parts. This way, you can assure the accuracy of your parts, note specifically which are not in LDD, and also gain familiarity with working with the software.
  7. So many well executed functions, and like Blakbird, I occasionally see these running around as well here in New England. Makes me sad I sold my copy...
  8. The Café: Clutch Powers' Quick Clicks The Family restaurant: Emmett's Awesome Build-a-Meal The Mezzanine: Mr. Gold's
  9. Its real and available for sale at the LEGO education website, look at WeDo2 for examples of M-motor, battery box, and bluetooth enabled controller.
  10. 지금은 김치를 먹고 싶어
  11. Yessss! Really need one for my smelly cat. I'm going to start BL'ing the 4376 track parts I need for an oversized cat conveyor.
  12. Best, Video, Ever. Well done, makes me want to finally get an S-brick or two, hope they give you commissions, as this is one of the best MOCs I have seen for promoting S-brick use.
  13. Kids don't care about the mold marks, only us anal types . I placed mine high enough on a shelf that you can't see the marks.
  14. I don't read German. Will this be limited release or regular as availability?
  15. Z - looking good, I am thinking the red colored areas may be a bit oversaturated, otherwise good control of contrast and details in shadows and highlights
  16. A wheel of fortune, roulette wheel, wheel of chance/prize wheel Also, maybe good for cotton spinning or yarn making or weaving
  17. Nice and compact, good work on the body. You managed to fill in most of the gaps, a very hard job. Need a video to show suspension travel, etc...
  18. Zblj - neat, with more diffuse light your shadows will be less intense and easier to remove - also try keeping the background and shadow areas out of focus, which is hard to do with this type of photography - you could try using a clear support for the subject.
  19. Very good videos RM8 - nice emphasis on the details. I'll be looking into some of those Fischertechnik tires for outdoor use. For indoors, I'd stay with OEM LEGO parts. Nice minifigs, by the way
  20. Yellow or orange would be best, but I'd go with GREEN
  21. Looks good, but the cab seems a bit small - how about a video. Is this based on a real crane,
  22. 42053 would be a great choice, my 8 year old has been asking for pneumatics for a while
  23. We are going to need more grey or balding hair pieces
